Kou San was a great host during my stay. He shared local recommendations ahead of time which was helpful. He also proactively checked in to ensure I have a great experience and was always responsive in a timely manner to my questions and requests. He also offered flexibility for my checked out time so I didn’t have to deal with the massy rainy weather on my last day. Thanks! The place is loaded in a quiet neighborhood and super close to two train stations to make getting around Tokyo easy. It is also within walking distance to the trendy Jiyugaoka area with many great coffee stores and bakeries, restaurants, boutiques and home goods stores and many more shopping options. It’s a cozy place for my Tokyo trip and I was happy with my choice and would consider to stay here again for my next trip.

What a wonderful home! Chihoko was so incredibly helpful, kind and thoughtful. Recommended restaurants, parks and entertainment! The location was walking distance to DT line and the bus...so it was super easy to explore. And one stop to the bustling Shibuya. At night the neighborhood was so quiet, and the beds so comfortable. Having Lawsons across the street made our jetlag bearable. And having space for our family of 4 to spread out was great. Don't miss this spot! Book it and love it! 5 stars!

Perfect stay in Tokyo, thanks to the kind host for always helping and the clean spacious room. Everything was close and its a really nice neighbourhood ( not to busy but close to everything!)

Jun was one of the best hosts I’ve met. She was so responsive, patient, kind and helpful. It was our last few nights in Tokyo and she really helped accommodate our asks with check in and check out. The space is very clean. We asked for some help with the apartment and she went above and beyond. Sent one of her staff to assist right away. Really cozy and comfortable beds. The dryer was amazing given most airbnbs in Japan don’t have one. Would stay again with Jun!

Really awesome spot. Shimokitazawa was my favorite neighborhood in Tokyo. Its well connected to both Shinjuku and Shibuya stations so you can get anywhere. This Airbnb could not be in a better spot. Its right next to the subway entrance to the line going to Shibuya and its a 3-4 minute walk to the train going to Shinjuku. Despite being that close, its not noisy at all because its tucked back in a little alley. Its close to lots of good food (multiple top tier soup curry spots), absolutely phenomenal coffee spots, and a lot of cool little bars. I would absolutely book this spot again if staying in Tokyo.

Clean, quiet, and very well appointed home. It was obvious the host took great care to try and think of every detail to make this a comfortable stay. He was exceptionally responsive and also helped me with some of my trip plans when I asked. It was greatly appreciated! It is not close to the center of the city, which wasn’t always convenient but I would not have wanted to stay in the heart of bustling Shibuya, so it really comes down to preference.

We loved staying at Shimbashi West Section L! Concierge was extremely warm and welcoming. Check-in and check-out was extremely smooth and easy. We loved the entire vibe of this place! The lounge was comfortable and had a tea, coffee and soft drink station with some snacks that you could help yourselves with. We arrived Wed and they have happy hour where they featured a few drinks for self serve. The overall room was thoughtfully designed and had storage under the bed. There's a bench, table and chair for you to sit and have meals. The room was furnished with appliances and their app had instructions. There were 2 ac units. The water pressure was great. The toilet & shower was a bit larger and there was counter space for stuff. In the halls, we could hear families with kids - the rooms were soundproof very well. We tried the sauna which was a great way to wind down and relax. I'd highly recommend staying here, it's clean, thoughtfully designed and made us feel right at home!

We had wonderful and super comfortable stay in the nice and clean apartment! The area is amazing for strolling around and exploring a more local part of Tokyo. Coin laundry is nearby, as well as a convenient store! Thanks for having us, til next time!

Thank you for making our stay in Tokyo so wonderful! We enjoyed staying in the apartment very much. It was very neat and tidy, with everything we needed (including a steamer which was very handy!). Hanako is a great host - very responsive and provides recommendations as well. Apartment is located in a perfect spot - in a quiet area, but also close to the train station which makes it easy to get around. Definitely recommend Hanako’s apartment for your Tokyo stay!

Yuko’s place was very cozy, clean and private. Just what I wanted for a few days while staying in Tokyo. A very quiet neighborhood, nice to walk around. I would stay here again next time I visit Tokyo. It was really nice to communicate with Yuko and the co-hosts. Had a wonderful time here, thanks to Yuko. Also there’s an amazing bakery on the first floor, a must try, you’ve got to line up if you want it for breakfast though.

The best thing is the location of this house, it is very close to Shibuya Station, it is very convenient to go out and play, but because the location is good, the price is about 300-400 RMB/person/night, the overall style is very Japanese, but the room will be a little crowded if 4 people live, 2 to 3 people is just right, in short, the value is relatively high, you can consider staying

Stayed here on our final four days in Japan. The space was bigger than the previous Airbnb and was well equipped. The bed was comfy and large. It was close enough to walk into Shibuya and only a six minute walk to the metro. There’s plenty of bars and restaurants around. There is some traffic noise but that’s expected if you wish to stay in this area

Amazingly half house but well equipped wth kitchen, dining section, toilet wth dryer was most useful. It will be better if add a mirror in the hse other than the one in the bathroom section.

Great place, loved the fast response time on messaging and atmosphere. loved the locate bars, cafés and restaurants. Amazing location

The place was very nice and in a great location. Meguro station is a very short walk away and offers great access to the rest of the city. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quieter/ less touristy experience that still provides quick access to the more famous parts of Tokyo!

Nori-san's place is great, it has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The location is great, you'll be close to many shops and restaurants while also being close to the train station to explore more of Tokyo. Nori-san also provided good recommendations close by which was appreciated. No complaints, I would stay here again if I get the chance.

Such a great find! The flat is stunning and looks exactly as described, spacious and very nicely designed and decorated. The area is also very vibrant, loads of restaurant and the host kindly provide a long list of places to go

Very spacious, very close to the subway station, very convenient.The house is fully equipped, the toiletries are also fully equipped, the host is very friendly, and luggage can be stored.

Gimmicky. I want to get that out of the way right now. This property is capitalizing off of having an onsen nearby with traditional looking Japanese bedding and decor. That's what got me, and it might be what's getting you...I would say that's probably not worth it. The place itself is fine. The bedding is fine, but in the end I chose this place over other cheaper options for the novelty, I feel I could have gotten a little bit better value elsewhere, but still overall happy with what I got and what I paid. I used the onsen once during my two week stay. I really like onsens, but this one is small, busy, and I just wasn't a fan. Service was awesome. He spoke great English, and helped me bring my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. Overall, despite starting out critical here, this place is really nice and I like the quiet area next to nice walking paths. Lastly, I wish the place had a small dining table and chairs. You basically have to eat at a small low table on the floor.

If you’re looking for a quiet place in Shinjuku to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, this is your spot! My husband and I enjoyed the proximity of Shunki’s place to the Shin-Okubo station but also appreciated the tucked away feeling after a long day of walking through Tokyo. As are most rooms in Tokyo proper, it is small, but it worked for the two of us. We were able to navigate the space and still feel comfortable.
