Sandy Pond vacation rentals

Such a wonderful getaway for the family! Amanda’s beautiful house was right on the water, and everything was just as described in the listing. The house was spotless and Amanda was quick to reply to all inquiries. We loved the well-stocked kitchen and the amenities (fire pit, pool, kayaks, etc). As you might expect for a lakehouse, during our late August trip there were quite a few bugs to navigate anytime we ventured outside - though very few seemed to be of the bitey variety. This peaceful getaway was just what we needed!

Great stay as always. I thinks it’s been 4 years in a row for an annual ice fishing trip. House is great. Can ride the side by side right onto the pond by the launch nearby. Will be rebooking for next year. Perfect for 4-6 people for a weekend.

Backwoods BNB was a fantastic place to stay. Having been there for a fishing trip it was very centrally located to every place you would want to go in the area. All the amenities you could ask for and more. Alycia was a great host and communicated well throughout. Hope you be able to stay there again some day!!

This cottage provided the bedrooms and baths that we needed in addition to a beautiful view of Lake Ontario. The open floor plan included a full kitchen, a large table for dining and a living room area. We appreciated the convenient parking.

Super cute house with lots of space and things to do, great for families - our kids (teens) had a great time!

From the moment we stepped foot in the door we felt at home—and booked for next year before the end of our second day! We traveled with 3 English Bulldogs. The property was conducive to letting pets out easily (recommend a 20-30 foot dog run cable and use the back door out of the bathroom to let pups out). This home has everything we needed to feel comfy— ample towels, blankets, seats, wood, and space. The dock is wobbly, but safe. We enjoyed magnet fishing off of it (but didn’t find much). The boat house is a cool spot to hang out or fish— we enjoyed watching the ice build/break from the comfy chairs inside. Ample pillows and blankets. Recommendations to bring: playing cards or games (backgammon and some puzzles in the rental), galoshes to play in the creek, a fishing pole (and your fishing license) and a hobo pie maker!

Kerry & John were the best hosts I’ve ever had. I was having a hard time finding a place to live during my transition from NYC back home to Upstate. The experience staying at their place made my life so much easier. They were willing to work with me while I found an apartment. Kerry & John always responded immediately if I had any problems or questions.. I definitely felt like they cared about me as an actual guest, I’ve never experienced something like that before staying at an Airbnb! I will say, the place does have a rustic feel- but it truly grew on me. The place has a charm to it. It’s not super fancy but it feels peaceful and warm. After living in the big city, the quiet and peacefulness I truly appreciated. I enjoyed being close to Pulaski. A local restaurant down the road grew on me “Deja Brew”, it is now my favorite place to eat. Staying here you are close to Salmon River Falls, the Kallet theatre in Pulaski, and even EIR a local healing spa!

This was a stay-cation for us, we actually live 7minutes away from the cabin but wanted something, different, secluded, and cabin like. It checked all the boxes. Unfortunately at the same time the snow storm of the century was also happening so we ran into some unforeseen issues that was out of anyone’s control I.e. leaks and such. The owners stayed in constant communication with us and the leaks were just a minor annoyance that didn’t affect our time there in any way. This home is beautiful, peaceful, and restful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there in spite of all the snow that fell. We highly recommend this stay to anyone.
