The guesthouse is ideal for those looking to get away from electronics and the internet, and hike and bike the area’s trails, and/or paddle the Battenkill River and area lakes. Or just sit on the deck with a book and cup of tea or glass of wine. Pets are welcome (we do charge a small fee for pets)!

This is a private suite located on the second floor of a house. Separate entrance. The owners live downstairs. Great location with mountain views. Please note: 1) Our kitchen is fully equipped, but it has a hot plate instead of the traditional stove. 2) Instead of a full-size living room there is a small sitting area with a TV in the same area where the kitchen is located. 3) Guests don't have access to the backyard/patio, but you can enjoy the outside seating set in front of the house.

Beautiful home, nested in a secluded and breathtaking location: exactly what we were looking for. We found the home to be very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Cozy home, with warm personal touches by the owner, but without feeling like you're invading someone's personal space. Sierra is an amazing host. Responsive, very professional and kind. We had no issues during our stay but we've always felt well supported. The location is pretty good. It takes a 20-25 min ride to nearby towns, but the drive is scenic and the roads are perfectly maintained. We quite enjoyed driving back and forth to Manchester. 100% recommended

Stayed there for weekend at Battenkill fly fishing festival. Accommodations were perfect. Everything is described. Private, quiet, beautiful views, immaculate inside, comfortable beds, clean, quiet, plenty of space and charming Norman Rockwell Vermont ski type Homestead. Highly recommend.

It’s idyllic. The host provided a thoughtful welcome… a lush bouquet of fragrant peonies centered on the dining table right inside the entry I had mentioned that our group was in the area to enjoy the awesome peony display at nearby Hildene. The rain nixed the opportunity to enjoy the lovely patio. Next time… A beautiful area with lots to enjoy. The tacky ‘outlet’ bonanza in Manchester has been cleaned up (though many still there) from how it was many years ago when I was last there. Mystico 820 on Main Street was excellent and Dorset Bakery cafe in Dorset was perfect for breakfast (or lunch) with charming indoor and covered porch seating. Host provided spot-on recs.

Wonderful little stay! Right off the road and next to the family home, but still feels so private and peaceful. The deck was a standout with unbelievable views and everything was pristine. Definitely the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed in! Would recommend to anyone - very close to Dorset and Manchester!
