Pet-friendly vacation rentals in San José Island

We loved this place! Everything was clean and tidy, the outdoor space was fantastic (inc lots of outdoor games!), and the house was super well stocked. Literally everything we could have needed was supplied. We didn’t realize there wasn’t an oven but they had an air fryer and a grill so we were able to change up the food plans slightly and it worked just fine. Dakota was super helpful and responsive and even checked in halfway through to make sure we were doing well. We love the location and our dog loved walking around the neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again!

This was my second time to stay here. I like this place because it is close to town, the water and it has a nice yard and gated property. Sharon was very quick to respond to any questions.

The house was perfect for our work crew, there were 6 of us and we all fit comfortably. The garage was big enough to fit our trailer and all 5 trucks inside. I could see how this would be a great location for fishing as well, it was 30 minutes from Port A as well as Chorpus.

We really appreciated the communication and opportunity for an early check-in, without even asking for one. Easy to follow instructions before and upon arrival, made for quick access to the property to begin enjoying the impressive dock and outdoor space on the beautiful bay. The space was perfect for our group of 6 (age range from 17-85). There was plenty of comfortable seating both inside and outside, cozy beds complete with extra bedding in the closet, a well stocked kitchen (and outdoor grills) to prepare and serve meals. The privacy of the downstairs bed/bath/game room was the highlight for our late teen/early 20 year olds; they liked that they had their own "apartment." (Note for parents with younger children: this space is only accessed from outside on the ground floor). The neighborhood felt safe, was quiet (during Spring Break). No luck fishing, but we enjoyed watching the birds, ducks, dolphins, and sunsets. Easy 45 min. drive/ferry to Port Aransas beaches. We'd rent again!

Came for a weekend of fishing. Matt & Melanie's place was perfect. Our dog, Leo, loved it as much as we did. Felt right at home as soon as we walked in. Our boat fit perfectly in the driveway. Very quiet location. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you, M & M for having such a nice place & offering it up to others!

It was a wonderful stay and 15 mins drive to beaches and aquarium. All restaurants were nearby. We enjoyed with our family.

Sylvia’s house was really welcoming. We had 2 families (2 adults/1 child/ 2 dogs and 2 adults/ 3 children) loved how the house was so big that we had a lot of space per family separated but still together. It was really clean and everything was described as the photos. It was super cozy. We did have one night to bbq and they had all the amenities needed.The back yard was so nice of the canal for night fishing which was convenient. A quiet neighborhood and the privacy fence is a plus. Sylvia was super attentive with any questions or issues which was great. We’d definitely stay again. :)

This is the perfect home to getaway and relax. It's spacious with quiet surroundings and the pool is amazing. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the evenings. We will definitely book again.

Beautiful home, golf cart is a major bonus. Pool was a great hit with the kids, warmer for the pool works wonderfully as well. Lots of beach/pool toys in the garage to use. Having a washer and dryer at the home was huge for us. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an “at home” feel, but at the same time feel like you’re on a paradise vacation.

The home was in a great location, not too far from restaurants, marina and etc and it was a very quiet neighborhood. Sarah was very responsive and helpful.

Me and my Friend were so cozy in this cute little beach get-away apartment. Surrounded by a quiet area and literally less than a 10 min drive to the beach! They have everything you need and though we had no pets with us, we found it very sweet that the owners had dishes and treats for the pets. Diana was such a amazing host! I had left my airpods and offered to cover the expenses of gas and shipping, but Diana insisted that she would cover the expenses at no cost. A very sweet gesture and answered all of our questions in such short time. Would highly recommend staying here 😊

Joy is great, very responsive. The place was pretty much as said I feel like important things should be clarified. The area felt safe and some of the view from the front porch was pretty and some not so much. The canal is pretty but there is a closed down business to the right that is an eye sore but I understand that isn't anyones fault. The front porch is shared and I think that should be mentioned. one porch two front doors. The entry door seems like it needs fixed or replaced. It gaps open quite a bit. I was kind of concerned by the fact someone could maybe pry it open. There is security on premises so it is probably unlikely and the place is quiet. If you have a taller vehicle know that it won't fit in the garage but there is outside parking. The height of the garage entry is about 6ft high. Nice amenities but the unit is definitely tiny. It is also and older unit. The bathtub also needed some maintenance. There were three of us and it was fine for us. For the price it was ok.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was peaceful, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was fantastic—very responsive and quick to address any questions or issues we had. Our family is already looking forward to coming back. I highly recommend it!

I booked my birthday vacation here it was great!! Thanks to the amazing host they were super helpful. Extremely quick to respond and very accommodating to my needs. It was super nice and clean inside made me feel right at home. Outside was beautiful too very spacious. The beach is a quick little drive, everything was really close. My friends, family, dog, and I loved it. Definitely worth the price and will most definitely book here again.

Nice house. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Plenty of clean linens and towels. Beds were already made for us.

Scott's is an amazing host. Scott is quick to respond to any questions and gave the best instructions on how to get there and how to get inside the location. This Coastal home is very roomy, clean, with plenty of space to feel comfortable to relax. The outside decks have great views. The furniture is also well kept and comfortable. We were amazed at the price we got it for. We would highly recommend this Coastal home to anyone wanting a fully equipped, quiet location, that's just minutes away from the restraunts, convenient stores, and the BEACH.

This is my favorite place stay in Rockport! The location & view are fabulous. Has everything you need for your to stay, especially if enjoy to cooking.

My little family, 2 dogs and I absolutely loved our stay. It was peaceful and quiet and we will be staying here again for our next visit. Our dogs loved having a place to roam around and be fenced in. The place was very relaxing and cute.

Great place to stay first time visiting rock port! Wasn’t too far from everything. Love to cook and kitchen had everything I needed to do so.

Ms. Rita and Mr. Mike thought of everything! Driving in at night the house was lit up beautiful and so inviting. House was very clean and decorated with all the beach vibe you could imagine. We had all we needed. The patio was so peaceful with all the beautiful plants and lights. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower. Even played a little cornhole out on the back back patio. The welcoming rose, candy, breakfast and fruit was AMAZING! Thank you so much for an awesome getaway in your home, it was just what my husband and I needed.
