Cottage vacation rentals in San Gil

Initially, we were a bit hesitant after finding out that the property was not completely to ourselves. Mr. Yesith lives in the main house and remained with us for our entire stay. It would have been nice to know this before hand, but he quickly made us feel at home and was extremely hospitable. His presence ended up being a positive experience for our stay. The pictures don’t do the property any justice as it is even more beautiful & impressive in person. Due to a small lack of communication, we had some issues finding the property but it was quickly corrected. The property had everything you need, we ended up never leaving the villa. Highly recommended if you are open minded to having the owner share the space with you.

We were in the family the first days of January 2024, the hacienda is very nice, there are activities for children, young people, adults. Quite a green area, trees, gardens; the house is large and with many environments to enjoy. There is a pool, play area, basketball court, others. Excellent for getting away from the city. The access road in good condition, about 20 minutes from Barichara. The people in charge took good care of us.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place near the heritage town of Barichara. From the very beginning, Luciano was an incredible host. He was warm, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. He went above and beyond in sharing local tips, especially the best spots to eat and explore around town. We had an enjoyable and memorable experience. The place itself is not only comfortable and well-kept, but also perfectly suited for anyone looking to disconnect from the hustle and truly plug into nature. The peaceful surroundings, and the overall atmosphere made it feel like a little retreat. As our short stay was coming to an end, I honestly found myself wishing we had booked a few extra days. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area. Whether you're looking for rest, adventure, or a deeper connection with the region, this is the perfect base, and Luciano is the perfect host.

I went back in time when I was living in Michoacán Mexico up in the magic towns when electricity was not available and every around your live was completely organic and in deep quietness to be with you within! Nohora’s place is perfect for a family reunion. Kid and pet friendly. Lot’s of amenities (pool, bolo criollo, tejo, ping pong, rana). She definitely strives to make your stay the best possible. Just be aware that local tourism laws forbid hot water in showers to avoid long baths... and it works!!!

An amazing stay with Claudia y Esperanza! We stayed 3 weeks y wished it was longer. We are booking again! The view of the mountains from the back porch y pool are incredible to say the least. Esperanza who lives at the farm is tremendously helpful y friendly. Simacota is a charming little village y Socorro has everything you need. Highest of recommendations!

Spacious place, surrounded by nice gardens, quiet. Highly recommended.

Mrs. Martha was very friendly and always answered calls quickly and cordially. What I saw to improve was that the water pressure that reached the room was very little.

The place is very nice, clean and comfortable, also for older people or people with reduced mobility. We were very comfortable and happy. The arrival can be a little complicated with Google Maps, but it was very efficient and easy to get there for those of us who used the video that the host shared Highly recommended

Ana Maria was always a very cordial and sweet person in her communication and relations with my companions. She was very attentive to our needs, providing immediate solutions. She helped us with a magnificent document as a guide to get to know the beautiful places around Curití. I loved the architectural design of the house, it has always been my ideal to have a house like this.
