Vacation rentals in Salem

We are so grateful to have found Turner's Cottages! This was our third trip to Antigua and our favorite location so far - just an absolute gem, steps from a pristine, beautiful, calm beach. The cottage has a lovely front porch and yard good for kids to run around in. The home was spotless and well equipped, very comfortable for our family of four who cooked most meals during our week there. Great air conditioning, comfortable beds, plenty of towels and other thoughtful touches. Toya and her family were highly communicative and have clearly put a lot of love and care into the home. And again, the beach was just beautiful! We loved our time there and are already planning our next visit, thank you, Toya :)

The villa was lovely with beautifully kept gardens all around it. A nice veranda too with lovely garden furniture which was nice to sit in the shade. Location was perfect for us, although need a car. Pool was great & very clean. Initially had an issue with it which was immediately dealt with & Wendell was always on hand should we have needed him. Only negatives: No air con in the lounge area or bed 3. No trays to use in the oven for cooking, which is a minor point. Overall really pleased with this pretty villa & wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to others. Thank you Wendell for a lovely holiday

We, of course, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sugar Moon. The accommodations, the view, the pool, the location - everything is exactly as described. But more importantly, I want to say that Silvia is such a great host. We had a couple of challenges with our rental car during our stay (completely unrelated to the villa). Silvia went above and beyond to help us every time. She really made the difference in us having an incredible week in Antigua.

Montserrat is a beautiful island with a unique history. If you have time, let Sunny take you around and soak in his history as one who has lived there for decades. A sort drive away is the Olveston House which serves great dinners. If you go, check out the photos done by Linda McCartney. Down the beach is Isles Bay Beach Bar and Restaurant. Odd hours, but great sunsets, drinks and dinners. Recommend reservations at both. The house is comfortable with an amazing pool. The views from the deck and pool are worth the visit. Great sleeping with the sound of the waves hitting the shore. The kitchen is well stocked. If you are cooking, the outdoor dinning is great. Recommend renting a car and exploring the island.

The property is nicely equipped with all the amenities and comforts of home and outdoor living. The sunsets are spectacular, the surroundings lush and the sea pristine. For calm, rejuvenation and getting in touch with oneself, this is the perfect place. Repeat future visits are a certainty.

It was serenity! The perfect place for our vacation. You could hear the waves of the ocean, watch pelicans and beautiful sunsets right from the deck. The pool was wonderful and deeper than we expected, making lap swimming and just having fun with our child much more enjoyable. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds super comfortable. If you are seeking a quiet place to get away and only plan to venture out a few times, taxi is the way to go. If you would like the flexibility not only to go to a destination, but also stop along the way to check out road stands and places at your whim, I would recommend renting a car. There are few options within walking distance, and all require a steep ascend. If you are looking to take a very informative tour of the island I would recommend Sun's Montserrat Island Tour. Overall we are looking forward to come back another time and enjoy Dave's place and Montserrat.

My wife and I stayed at Ken's place for 2 1/2 weeks in April. If you looking for a place to beach out and eat at some laid back restaurants featuring great local cuisine, this is the place for you. It is an eight minute walk to Darkwood Beach and a twenty minute walk to Ffryes Beach, our two favourite beaches in Antigua. Three great restaurants (Sandra's Fusion, Aunty Cavell's and Julia's on the Beach) are all within a ten minute walk. You will need to rent a car if you wish to venture out on your own beyond these beaches and restaurants but Ken has you covered as he has cars available for rent. If you are looking for luxury and night life, this is probably not the place for you. If you are looking to spend a lot of time on the beach, eat local food, have a nice place to lay your head at night and have the flexibility to rent a car and visit other parts of the island, Ken's place is perfect. He is a pleasure to deal with and we will be returning some day to be sure.

Sharra was a very helpful host. She answered all our questions and made great recommendations. The apartment was perfect for our stay. The back up generator was a bonus as power can be unreliable.
