House vacation rentals in Sainte-Gemme

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Beautiful Villa in a nice peaceful location

We had a lovely stay. Isabelle and her husband are very welcoming and available. The accommodation is impeccable, modern and as advertised. It is close to shops on foot but quiet. Le Gua is a small town in the center of many possible visits in this beautiful department! We will surely return!

The house is absolutely as advertised. All the comforts are there to accommodate a family or friends (kitchen equipment, games and accessories for children, barbecue and smoking room). The land is beautiful, very well maintained by Cathy and her husband. In addition, Cathy was very welcoming, attentive, sharing, always ready to answer the slightest question with a smile and the utmost precision. And finally, a big thank you to her for the afternoon spent gently removing splinters from our little Eden's hand. We'll be back for sure!

Quiet stay in the countryside with the sound of the river as background music. Ideal for large group stays. The house is spacious, very well-equipped, and tastefully decorated. There is nothing missing and Tony and his wife are very friendly, available and attentive. Canoes allow a safe discovery of the environment for all ages.

A nice relaxing time after a long motorcycle ride. Pool, fountain, lights, nice and well arranged natural space. a much-appreciated breakfast to start the day. i recommend it.

Very pleasant place, well thought-out accommodation with the raised terrace overlooking the pool and a peaceful and beautiful view. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to meet the owner, but in view of our exchanges by message, I found the person very pleasant. We had a very nice week at Angélique's. his friendly house is very nice, very clean, well-equipped Very nice host who immediately puts you at ease with good tips about places to visit our little dog loved the presence of the donkeys and the goat. We highly recommend it and will be back. Thank you Angélique.

we had a very good stay with Framboise. the house is cosy and practical. it is just about 8 minutes by bike to Le Chateaux d'Oleron. bakery and supermarket are not far away. communication with Framboise was easy and quick.

We had a great time at Elisabeth's home. There were 4 of us with a Labrador. Everything was perfect. The house is really impeccable, and particularly well-equipped. Elisabeth was very responsive and very accommodating. We recommend it+++

Séverine has created a lovely gîte with great character, style and comfort. We stayed for two weeks and had everything we needed to feel at home. The gîte has a private back garden with table and chairs and a large area of parkland in front. It's in a peaceful location in the countryside but St Savinien is only a 10 min walk away and is one of the prettiest towns in the region. Lovely area for walking and cycling . Séverine and her husband Jean-Marc were great hosts.

We had a lovely weekend at Dany's cottage. The charm takes effect upon arrival, an old building tastefully renovated with all the comforts you need. Dany is an available, responsive and friendly host. We recommend his cottage to discover this beautiful region!

Jenifer's accommodation has been tastefully renovated. The amenities are as qualitative and numerous as a main house: hair dryer, washing machine, oven, kettle, in short everything is there. you can access the beach in 2 minutes by bike, 5 minutes on foot, happiness.

Nadine is a very nice, unobtrusive hostess. We were very pleased with her house, adjacent to a small garden with terrace, on the other side of the house a green courtyard with shady tree, suitable both as a parking space for the car and as a lounge area. St. Pierre with its beautiful market hall was very pleasant in the preseason, for strolling and shopping as well as with good gastronomy. We will be happy to come back and also recommend the house!

From booking our short notice stay, we had Benadettes full attention. Her communications were warm and welcoming. Her home is beautiful, tastefully furnished / decorated and comfortable. She welcomed our 2 dogs without any hesitation and told us where we could take them for walks. We will visit again and have already passed on the details to friends. quiet and peaceful location with all the necessary equipment. The apartment is tastefully refurbished. A small terrace to enjoy the outdoors... given the weather I could not enjoy the pool but it will be for the next time. I will come back with great pleasure.
