Family-friendly vacation rentals in Saint Philip

This was my first time staying at an AirBnB in Barbados after several visits to either family members or hotels while visiting the island. My entire family (wife, 2 kids and my mom) were all highly impressed as were friends and family who visited us. The pool was perfect, the beach was amazing and listening to the waves on the balcony became a way for all of us to find peace and quiet. The security was friendly and informative. Our host Jameela was an ANGEL! We have many travel struggles getting to the island and she was always responsive, supportive and helpful. The cleaning lady was so friendly and did an awesome job. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are back in Barbados!!!

We stayed at 204 Mistle Cove for one week. The location is right in the heart of Lawrence Gap with all restaurants and amenities within walking distance. The apartment itself is just as advertised, although the view is actually nicer than the pictures. The main room sleeps with a broadview of the ocean and the calming sounds of waves. The patio is spacious and perfect for breakfast , lunch and dinners in front of the ocean. My daughter loved the pool and the ocean front was a lot of fun with the high waves. A calmer and longer beach was only a two min walk from the apartment at Dover. Overall, we had everything we could have needed here, and would easily stay again if we go back to Barbados.

Jeff and Vicki's place was perfect! It is on the slower side of the island so it was great for relaxing and enjoying each other's company. They were extremely responsive and left some snacks and a few beers to get our vacation started. Amazing views of the ocean! Looking forward to staying again when we return.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Palisades-6A. The house was spacious and clean, and we didn't lack for anything. We appreciated having beach towels, that the property was gated, and that we were able to use the bbq! The location is a short drive from Oistins and the St. Lawrence Gap, and a short walk from Enterprise Beach, which we enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Barbados!

Enjoyable stay. Met fantastic people sharing the same block. Nice to hang around the pool and chill. Beach is 2 mins walk so easy to get to and the sea is a stunning turquoise blue.

This place was very nice.. 2 bedroom 3 beds both bedrooms air conditioned, ceiling fans in every room and 2 standing floor fans in the living/dining area. The open floor plan in the living space meant everywhere was kept pretty cool and with the temperatures in Barbados lately was much appreciated. One and a half toilets meant there was no waiting unnecessarily. The pool and hot tub were a nice addition and all the neighbours were quite friendly. I liked that there was lots of pots and pans and the kitchen actually had items in it you could use ..air fryer was a nice addition. Coupled wit the communication and friendliness of Katie.. the property manager… I would highly recommend this place, easy transport links with buses to some of the most popular areas nearby and an easy 30 minute stroll to the Friday night Fish Fry at Oistins.. great beaches nearby as well and some lovely restaurants. You could be in Oistins or st. Lawrence Gap within 10-15 minutes…All around a great place.

Spacious apartment, great location short walk to grocery shopping, restaurants, beaches and entertainment. The apartment has new stove and refrigerator, the washing machine works but it’s old. TV and wifi all great. The beds are very comfortable. Lots of towels and sheets. The bathrooms need some updating. The apartment is quite airy but in addition the fans and AC make it very comfortable. The neighbours are very friendly. We are definitely hoping to stay here again when we return to Barbados.

Where do I start! I had an amazing time here, with memories to last a lifetime. Engrid and the family were the perfect hosts and made me feel like part of the family. The location and accommodation was perfect and just what I need during my 3 week stay. Engrid went above & beyond expectations and the warm welcome I received was amazing. Engrid arranged a taxi from and to the airport and even arranged a car for my 3 week stay that was all reasonably priced The Lodge was clean and had everything I needed with a beautiful terrace where I would eat my meals every evening. Very private accommodation but Engrid & family members are at hand if needed. If you are looking for a peaceful country side retreat that is no more than 30 mins away from most attractions & parishes, then this is the place. I can’t wait to go back and stay here again and enjoy the peaceful views & sounds of nature once again. Thank you Engrid!

Lex’s place had it all. There is a beautiful beach right outside the back door, it’s walkable to a grocery store, several cafes and bars and the Friday fish fry. We also could grab busses right outside the house to get to Bridgetown for more beaches and restaurants. Walking around felt safe (well lit) but of course be aware of your surroundings and the cars wiz by so be aware of where the sidewalks are. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We loved how there were lots of towels and pillows! The only thing to prepare for is that the second bedroom gets traffic noise so maybe bring earplugs if you’re sleeping in that room.

We had a great time at Jacqueline's place. The place is comfortable and peaceful at a great location near the sea. There garden is nice with shade from the trees and we enjoyed the ocean view from the sofa. Very friendly and helpful host. It is recommended to have a rental car to move around, because the place is not close to the popular beaches, supermarkets and markets. Overall it is a great place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Paolo was extremely helpful and friendly with great recommendations. The house is on a cute gated street across the street from a great surfing spot. Walking distance to Miami Beach which is a pleasant beach with a ton of shade trees. Oistins local fishing village is close enough to walk. For more lively area a quick jaunt to Rockley beach by car. For us a quiet walk to the surf and beach was ideal. Paolo must be one of the friendliest hosts we’ve had! The house was spacious and serene. Kitchen had all the necessary items. Can’t wait to return!

Jana is a lovely host, always keen to share information about the island, places to visit and what to do. The house is as described by pictures, really nice pool with both indoor and outdoor shower, plenty of space inside and clean rooms. Overall, very good value. The place is close to beaches like Bottom Bay but it's a 25 minutes drive from more touristy places on the south/west coasts, so having a car is recommended.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property! The seclusion was exactly what we were looking for, offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The place was perfect—cozy, well-equipped, and surrounded by nature. Ruth and Chris were amazing hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and ensuring our stay was comfortable. We truly enjoyed every moment and felt completely at home. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in a serene setting, this is the place to be. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking tranquility and a unique experience. Would love to return!

Zeema and Paul have been extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. They gave us so many recomendations and tips to help us have the best few days of holiday. They had a last minute cancellation in one of the better studios and they upgraded our room free of charge. Great hosts, would definetely recommend and would come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Bouttime. The house was very comfortable, and much more spacious than the pictures imply. The kitchen was really well equipped and beds very comfortable. We all loved using the plunge pool (especially the kids) and there is a lovely view of the ocean from the garden. Robert was very helpful and accomodating and made some great local suggestions and reccomendations including passing on the details of his daughter in law (a beauty therapist) who came to the house to do treatments (massages, facials etc..) this was a lovely extra little treat. We all loved swimming in Shark's hole (a local bay on the Atlantic side that is safe for swimming when the tide is low.) Renting a car is a must and also great way to see the rest of the island.

Listing was true to description. The host Cherie was very kind and professional. She greeted me at the house We did a tour and explained how to work all appliances. The house was clean and comfortable The view from the patio was spectacular and peaceful, I loved the Pool Although the house is in a good location. You will need a car as it quite away from the nearest bus stop. I enjoyed my stay and would return again without hesitation

Kason and Dawn's place was perfect for a short birthday trip with a friend. It was private, comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with the amenities necessary for cooking, and having the rental car included was a HUGE bonus.

Stayed here for 4 days on my way back from Guyana. Antonio's place has everything you need for stay. Very important - price consists picking up in airport and way back, that's quite cool! Cozy apartment, nice smooth breeze, friendly host! Only one thing - stupid dog in neighbour house still barking, but! it stops at midnight so you can set your clock)) Well, enjoyed Barbados with Antonio, and haв a nice trip!

Love it, love it, love it. It was well worth it. Anyone vacationing in Barbados, Natasha's Crane apartment is the place for you. You will not have any regrets! only grateful praise. Everything that you would need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable was provided. You only need to provide your own food. The apartment was spectacular and the view was to die for. I have been spoiled, the only place I will stay now when visiting Barbados is Natasha Crane apartment. Natasha, thank you for allowing me to stay in your Crane apartment. My husband and I so love it and can't stop talking about it.

Orions view is just a beautiful place to relax and enjoy ocean views! Laid back atmosphere makes it so easy to just enjoy and soak up the sun. The neighbourhood people are the so kind and humble. We loved the food and culture, and made new friends. Jackie is lovely and prepared dinners for us, and is very helpful, especially in navigating around…Lisa next door is a nurse, and very kind. Good to have around if needed. Spent time hanging around Lighthouse grill, met so many nice people…Karaoke Thursday..so much Fun! Kevin is an awesome host! Very friendly and fun to chat with. Very responsive and attentive. I loved my time there.. Thank you Kevin for a wonderful adventure🥰 Diane

My family and I had a fantastic stay . The place was just as described in the pictures and the host was wonderful and responsive . It was a peaceful getaway yet near to supermarket a small plaza , food eateries ,banks and a gestation also close to transportation . My overall rating is 10 stars . We will most definitely be back. Thank you Comarie, Sebastian, and staff!!! Coral Villa turned out to be the wonderful rest and relaxation spot we thought it would be. Nestled on a private piece of property with an in-ground pool, this 3BR 2BA home is 2 minutes from the pounding surf of the Atlantic and a five minute walk to Shark Hole beach where we witnessed extraordinary sunrises wading in the ocean with the locals. WORD OF CAUTION. Currents and undertow are very strong on the Eastern part of the island. We arrived very early and Comarie gave us breakfast stuff and coffee from her refrigerator. THANK YOU for your hospitality! You probably need to rent a car as it is far from the tourists but Crane Beach is less than 10 minutes away as are Cutters and Marci Polo restaurant. Hunte’s Gardens are a must do! We drove across the island a couple days and recommend Lobster Alive and The Boatyard for beach rentals and swimming with the sea turtles. If you want to get away from it all I would definitely recommend this house.
