Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Secluded cabin hike the trails to the cave and ponds. Close to trout fishing stream or Mississippi for fishing. Bring you UTV and ride the private trails $30 per driver and 10 per passenger or rent an UTV 300.00 per day Approx 15 miles from Priarie Du Chein, close to canoe outposts for the Kickapoo, Wisconsin river. Has a gas ,charcoal grill,fire pit, pool table, fooseball, ping pong table. Smart TV Private UTV trails are closed Oct 15th thru mid Jan for hunting. Access to public UTV trails.

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.

Perfect getaway and a perfect location to get to know Elkader with it’s coffee shops, antique mall, shops, opera house and beautiful Turkey River. Property was homesteaded in 1841 and sits directly across from the courthouse and looks over the famous Keystone Bridge and downtown. Come stay awhile. ***NOTE: Because we are located across from the court house the clock tower bells can be heard from our location. Very private, secluded and relaxing spot within 30 yards of walking or biking trail. Enjoy wildlife, plenty of deer and eagles to watch off the large open front porch.
