Ski-in/Ski-out vacation rentals in Sahara Desert

Walid was a great host, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. He was always available if I needed anything, but otherwise left to be at home - welcomed after a day exploring! The place was exactly what I expected, located on the West Bank, a very short walk from the public ferry. It offered some peace from intensity of the city. The secluded garden was a special place to start and finish days, feeling immersed in a more authentic Egyptian experience than I would get anywhere else. The Egyptian and Moroccan architecture makes for a fantastic experience, with domed ceilings and arches built into all the rooms, and some quite special bathrooms (I had a tour). My room was spacious, had plenty of places to spread out my things and all the modern features needed (AC, fridge, hot water, power sockets). Walid and his family have clearly put passion, energy and creativity into building this place and I really wish Walid success with future plans, which I hope to return and see.

One of the kindest souls I’ve met; the place is cozy yet spacious. Very comfy beds and the kids had a blast in the pool. Very accommodating and helpful. Thank you again!!!!

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war super. Sie ist ruhig und sicher gelegen, zwar mit etwas Anfahrt verbunden, dafür einer Klasse Aussicht und man ist wirklich für sich und hat einen guten Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Insel. Check-in super einfach und der Gastgeber ist einfach Klasse. Sehr aufmerksam und nett, wir hätten uns keinen aufmerksameren Host wünschen können. es wurde immer sehr schnell auf Anfragen reagiert. definitiv zu empfehlen für Gäste die etwas Abgelegenheit und Ruhe suchen. Wohnung war super sauber und einem sehr guten, neuwertigen Zustand. Wir können die Unterkunft und vor allem den Host Javier absolut empfehlen.

מהתחלה עמרי היה העעם ועזר בכל מה שאנחנו צריכים אם זה ארוחת בוקר, מסעדות בערב, אפילו דיבר עם המסעדה בערב ואמר שיזמין לנו מה שנרצה.

Wir werden wiederkommen!! Es war so unglaublich schön bei Muhammed! Erstmal war er absolut flexibel mit der Anreise/dem Check-In. Ich habe ihm einfach eine Stunde vorher Bescheid gegeben und alles lief mehr als perfekt! Als wir ankamen, waren seine Söhne schon oben am Parkplatz, begrüßten uns freundlich und halfen uns sogar die Sachen runter zu tragen. Dann haben wir mit ihnen und Muhammed gemütlich Tee getrunken und uns kennengelernt (Fußball nebenher geschaut). Der Höhepunkt war dann, als sein Bruder das gekochte Essen deren Mutter vorbeibrachte - traditionelle Küche, ein Traum! Einfach alle so unglaublich gastfreundlich und wir können nicht aufhören zu schwärmen!! Wunderbare Lage, liebe Menschen, super saubere Wohnung - alles mehr als perfekt! Lieben Dank und bis bald!

my friends and i had a great time, the place was cozy and we all felt very comfortable and safe there and Abdo was incredibly nice and responsive when we needed help. my friends and i will definitely return there for our next trip.

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at this apartment. The accomodation was spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything we needed. It is in a great central location, just a few minutes walk away from the beach, the White Centre and the Happy Centre. Carlos was a great host who let us know as soon as the apartment was available for us to check in (which was an hour and a half earlier than expected.) He also sent clear directions to the location and detailed instructions on how to find the apartment and access the key safe. We have stayed in many different places in Caleta and this has to be one of the best. Thank you Carlos

We’ve just come back from a great stay at Francisco’s villa. layout is fantastic, big communal open plan area with sofas and dining space surrounded by bedrooms. We had an issue with one of the toilets but as soon as I contacted Francisco someone come on the day and it was all sorted. Lovely view from the roof terrance for morning sunrise over the sea. 10 minute walk from Atlántico shopping centre which had a Spar supermarket and few ok restaurants. We got a cab into town in the evening to nicer restaurants, Fado Rocks was our favourite, we went there twice, amazing chateau briand steak! Lots of water sports and fun at main beach which is lovely with turquoise waters and although only a small pool at the villa it was perfectly clean, warm and we spent quite a bit of time in it. Outside areas could do with some updating and although a 40 min walk to town and main beach, taxis were under 4 euros so wasn’t an issue. For the price the villa was spot on. Wir haben uns sehr über den tollen Ausblick direkt auf das Meer gefreut! Alles war sauber und die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Zur Anlage gehört sogar ein Pool und ein Kinderpool. Ariadna ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar gewesen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit in eurer Unterkunft. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Amanda and her boys Mohammad (x2) and Hassan were all nice, attentive and friendly plus there were 5 dogs at the property including 2 brand new puppies they had taken in just 4 days prior to our arrival - that made our stay even more special! Super cool, very remote location far from the main road and wonderfully decorated with mini dunes within walking distance. The big dunes were about 30 mins away and we enjoyed those too. Amanda set up a private buggy ride with a guide that was an awesome experience. Highly recommend!

Un appartement très agréable, proche de toutes les commodités avec une belle vue sur l’océan dans un petit port qui reste préservé du tourisme de masse. Nous le recommandons.

Wir waren 8 Tage zu viert in der tollen Finca. Eva Maria war rund um die Uhr erreichbar, antwortete schnell und zuverlässig und gab gute Hinweise. Wir haben uns für die Finca aufgrund der grandiosen Aussenanlage mit den beheizten Pools im April entschieden. Die beiden Mädchen haben die Pools genossen. Erwähnenswert ist die komplett ausgestattete Aussenküche mit Grill, Kühlschrank und Tiefkühlern. Ideal im im Sommer, um den ganzen Tag draussen zu verbringen. Die Anlage wurde alle zwei Tage gereinigt und Handtücher gewechselt. Auch beim Empfang war alles äusserst sauber und gepflegt. Zusätzlich gab es einen Wein und Bier als Willkommensgeschenk. Das Dorf EL Rio liegt abseits des Tourismus, Auto notwendig. Wir haben den Blick über die Felder bis zum Meer genossen. Wer es ruhig mag, ist dort richtig aufgehoben. Die Wohnungen sind klein, aber funktional. Sauber, sehr gut eingerichtet. Dir Poolanlage gehörte und ganz alleine somit war die Privatsphäre perfekt. Empfehlenswert!

We had a wonderful stay, my daughter’s first time seeing the snow - the lodge is v cozy and quiet spacious - the hosts are super friendly and helpful - the space is great, the outdoor area is so relaxing and perfect for much needed peaceful time - we had friends join us and the kids had a blast...all along the hosts kept checking on us which was really a big big plus! Definitely recommended and will go back again!
