Peaceful country get away on 20+ acres. Spend a weekend “back in time” in cabin built in 1800s newly renovated with modern amenities. Unplug, reflect, and recharge with over a half mile of walking paths winding through young budding orchards, wildflowers, farmlands, woodlands and natural spring creeks… Stop and smell the wild roses is in the spring, watch the firefly’s light up the fields in the summer and enjoy a great Hereford zone sledding hill in the winter... All about a mile to NCR trail!
Less than 45 minutes to Baltimore, our Cabin sits on the front 10 acres of our farm out of sight from our home. You will come down our driveway and turn right at the bottom of the hill “back in time” on the farm road that leads to the Cabin! Park in your private spot by the old barn and from your front door you can hike up the back farm road to another old barn foundation then loop further right up the farm trail or hike left over the creek and up the hill through the woods. All trails loop back to your Cabin. We don’t mind if you venture off trails but beware of poison ivy! There is a lot in the pine groves.
About a mile to NCR trail (40 miles of hiking and biking). Less than 3 miles to downtown New Freedom. Fun cafe, historic railroad, etc.
  • Love this rustic cabin in the country. Very relaxing, clean, and nice. Wonderful place to disconnect from everything and enjoy being with nature. Hosts are fantastic with special touches like fresh flowers on the entry table and newly laid eggs in the fridge.

  • This quaint little cottage is absolutely exceptional! We weren't sure what to expect, but came in with high hope's and were just SO pleased! The pictures dont do this sweet cabin justice! The pellet stove works like a charm as do the base board units to quickly warm up the rooms as needed. We were happy to find an electric heater in the bedroom closet which was super effective (I actually woke up and turned it off during the night!) The kitchen had everything we needed allowing us to help ourself to a lovely bacon and fresh farm eggs breakfast Saturday morning! (The eggs were provided by Justin and Emily - in refrigerator) Emily was very quick to respond when I needed to shoot over a message, which was always appreciated. The grounds are well kept and nice to have a walk around. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway, we felt far away even though we were only about 25 mins from home! This cabin is truly a gem and we will most certainly return! Thank you for being such wonderful and gracious host's. Beautiful home!

  • This place is truly a gem! From the amazing historical restoration and the modern upgrades that truly feel like they were there from the start. The grounds are private, secluded and truly stunning. We came for our 18th wedding anniversary and it was a much needed escape from city life.. I cried a bit when leaving because my husband and I really haven't felt so rested and so connected in such a long time. We can't wait to come back!

  • I would highly reccomend this stay. Emily and Justin's cabin is absolutely magical! It was very cozy and yet had much of the original details of the cabin still in tact. The full kitchen was awesome too! It was a wonderful place to experience history and relax in a cozy cabin. :)

  • This is a fantastic retreat. Set in a peaceful and very private area, the cabin is a great place. Thoughtfully renovated and a joy to stay. We enjoyed it so much we have already planned our next weekend getaway.

  • Perfect for those who wish to enjoy the company of another, get away from society or to just relax. Highly suggested to anyone who needs a break from reality.

    Jakob2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This magical little cabin stole our hearts from start to finish! It's quirky and historic, rustic yet cozy and clean, old fashioned but caters to contemporary comfort. From the hand-hewn original beams overhead to the beautiful Crate & Barrel touches in the kitchen, from the handpicked wildflowers on the breakfast table to the whiter-than-white cotton sheets and waffle blanket, from the fresh farm eggs in the fridge to the thick towels in the modern bathroom...we were blown away by the charm. Stunning country views from every window AND total privacy. Window boxes, fire pit, Adirondack chairs outside, and old-time entertainment (books, cards!) inside. We came here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and our hopes were surpassed at every turn. Emily and Justin are delightful, caring hosts who will leave you be...but are open to warm, fascinating conversation if you want that. We enjoyed both!

Nestled into the front corner of the original mill building this smaller standard room overlooks our outdoor dining/deck area and has a view of downtown Glen Rock. The room comfortably sleeps 2 adults and has a mini-fridge, coffee maker and television available (television offers Roku guest service). Full bath room with step-up tile shower. Air conditioning and heat.
We are located in the small town of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania. The whole town is on the national historic register. Feel free to explore our mill/inn built in 1837 as well as some of the other historic buildings and statues nearby. We are located directly on the York County Heritage bike trail and nearby many other attractions including the Steam Into History Locomotive tour as well as the Mason Dixon wine trail, many micro-breweries, multiple shops, factory tours and antiquing. We're also just 45 minutes from Gettysburg National Military Park.
  • I have been a guest at Brandon’s in the past and he is a very gracious host. This is an old inn with no elevator and the floors are a little wavy but to me that just adds to the character of the place. The important things like plumbing and comfort are all first class. It’s convenient to the interstate and adjacent to a nice hike/bike trail. I will be back

  • Thank you for the great stay! Room was updated, clean, and comfortable. Food at the restaurant and brunch was wonderful! The historic mill is charming and a beautiful place to stay in a charming town.

    Darin2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in this quaint town as a little escape was the best decision! The mill was so cozy and the hospitality was above and beyond. Being able to have nice dinner and drinks and come right upstairs was just a little dream. The restaurant surprised me honestly with a list of local purveyors the moment you walk in the door! So good we went both nights. Sherry crab dip one of my favorites I’ve had. We actually booked one night and decided to stay a second!

    India2018-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The staff was very friendly, polite and made me feel welcome. The room was clean and cozy! Would definitely go back and explore the area. Thanks Brandon for a great place to stay!

    Tim2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Inn and Glen Rock are quaint and full of history. Brandon and his staff are hospitable and know the local area well. The room is clean and comfortable and is a great value. I liked the bed and the like-new bathroom as well as the window overlooking the restaurant patio. The A/C unit worked beautifully. Do note there is limited cell service in the room and seemingly in the immediate area as well. However there is wifi in the room! I would definitely stay again, especially since I didn't get a chance to enjoy the restaurant during my stay (at the time this post was written, the restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday)

  • We enjoyed our weekend at this cozy cabin! What a value! We enjoyed the eclectic style of the cabin, the lighting, and the AOK cabin signs -- someone did a really nice job with those! The bed is comfy, the shower is great, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfasts. We appreciated the effective and quick wall heaters and think these were some of the most through local guide binders we've seen.

    Tina2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at the AOK Cabin. I loved both visits. The place is just perfectly cozy, comfortable and quiet. Jenny and Roger are there when you need them but you also have plenty of privacy. The cabin itself is just perfectly appointed. The linens, towels, blankets, everything is clean and comfortable and cozy. The mattress is comfortable. The lighting is perfect. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom is perfect. Plenty of hot water and a nice shower. I hope to stay again soon!

    Jeanette2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • AOK cabin is a unique beautiful place to stay situated in the back yard of a very nice home. It is very peaceful and private for those who just want to spend time by themselves, which we did. Jennie provides a very handy wagon to move your items to the cabin through the backyard and a rustic, simple kitchen that provides basic items to be able to prepare meals. We absolutely loved the area--folks are friendly and the scenery is lovely. We will be back!

    Cynthia2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a surprise get away weekend and it was perfect! Great open air concept in the sleeping area with wonderful little touches that made it the perfect little set up for a escape from reality for a day! Jennie and Roger were very hospitable and welcoming! Would definitely come back for future trips!

    Zach2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was wonderful! Jennie and her husband are very kind, humble and super friendly. We had an amazing conversation and an will definitely consider returning again.

  • I really can not say enough about how great this experience was. The cabin is super cozy and comfortable. It's quiet and safe with nice views in every direction. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed was really comfortable. It was private but Jennie and Roger were there if I needed them. Will definitely be back!

    Jeanette2019-08-11T00:00:00Z

The Glen Rock Mill Inn in nestled in the center of Glen Rock borough. The entire downtown area is registered on the national historic register. Many of the buildings have historic markers. And, of course, the steam train is a must see. This 1870's style locomotive travels past the Inn regularly. More information on the train is available at the Steam Into History web site, www.steamintohistory.com.

  • What a great stay! We were just looking for a two-bedroom spot to crash for a nearby sporting event, but this really exceeded expectations. We loved the living room and kitchen as well as large bedrooms, not to mention the peaceful setting and views. The place was extremely clean, was stocked with everything we needed, and they left a nice note and fresh eggs for us in the fridge that we enjoyed for breakfast. Great hosts, great space, definitely recommend!

1840's log home with cozy rooms. Three season porch. Babbling brook. Hooting owls and stars at night. Claw foot tub. Games and puzzles. Line dried sheets and towels. Cleaned with environmentally friendly cleansers only. Farm-fresh eggs, yogurt, muffins, fruit for breakfast.
Guests will be staying in a quiet cabin up a gravel lane. Surrounded by trees, birds and deer which can readily be seen from the porch - as well as the elusive resident free-range goat, Fudge. Although Baltimore, Lancaster and Gettysburg are all within an hours drive, the cabin feels remote and on a clear night, the Milky Way is visible.
We are close to Baltimore, Lancaster ( where the Amish live), and Gettysburg. The Amish have recently bought neighboring farms so Amish buggies now pass our home on a regular basis.
  • Fabulous, quiet, cabin off the beaten path ... fresh muffins delivered each morning sure was nice !!! Great hosts readily available. We will be back when in the area.

  • Helen and David's Chicken Coop is truly a great place, my wife and I enjoyed spending a quiet and relaxing fall weekend here. The Coop is an almost 200 year old farm house with some really great antique details. It is cozy and well decorated without feeling cramped or cluttered. We had everything we needed, including bath towels and a delivery of fresh baked muffins from Helen the morning of our stay. The cabin sits in a wooded valley next to a small run. The sound of wind through the leaves and running water as we sat on the porch was incredibly relaxing. If you're looking for a place for a quiet get away or retreat, this is your place.

    R2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at this quiet retreat. In addition to the adorable goat, Fudge, we saw two deer, many squirrels, and a groundhog from the porch. Very peaceful. Will definitely come back again.

    Zach2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • A very peaceful stay with responsive and welcoming hosts. There's a cute goat named Fudge who wanders around and a nearby babbling brook to help you sleep.

  • My husband and I biked the NCR trail up from Baltimore for a quick overnight stay at the Glen Rock Mill Inn. The Inn is located right off the trail, and very convenient for those with bicycles in tow. We were able to keep our bikes in our suite, which was nicely decorated, cozy, and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, and our room was the perfect landing pad at the end of a long day. Our weekend stay included a brunch buffet that was super delicious and kept us happily full for our ride back home. Would highly recommend!!

  • What an absolute treasure to find the Glenmont Inn. I was greeted by name when I first walked thru the door. The upstairs suite was beautifully laid out, rustic and spacious. Having a restaurant on site made my tasty dessert plan before retiring to our room uber convenient.

  • The Glen Rock Mill Inn is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed a delicious complimentary breakfast in the Inns restaurant both Saturday and Sunday morning. Being able to wake up and walk downstairs for breakfast was a really great perk. The room itself was charmingly decorated (as is the entire INN) and was sparkling clean. The room also has wonderful amenities and thoughtful touches. All the staff we met during the weekend were exceptionally kind and courteous. The location itself is really charming and sits along a bike/walking trail that we were able to enjoy one of the mornings! The history of the town and the INN is also really enjoyable to learn about. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb as a place to stay. We would love to stay here again!

  • When searching for an overnight accommodation along a bike trail we came across the Glen Rock Mills Inn. What a perfect weekend getaway! The property is located on the York Cou ty Heritage Trail which runs into the Torrey C Brown Rail Trail. This proximity allows you to bike approximately 20 miles north or 20 miles south. Perfect for a weekend biking adventure. Brandon's Inn offers all the modern conveniences in a charming classic building. The rooms were spacious, updated and tastefully decorated, displaying many industrial relics of the mill's past. The food was phenomenal and the service was over the top. Brandon always seemed to be at arms length when we had any questions and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied and felt at home. We especially enjoyed eating in the Fountian Room, with bright natural light, littered with nostalgic antique pieces, entertaining blues or jazz music and the soothing sound of a gentle stream trickling along a beautiful stone wall. A bonus was that breakfast was included! Thanks Brandon

  • The Inn was perfect for us. We were visiting family nearby, but there wasn’t space enough in the family house. The Inn was perfectly located and we were thrilled with the renovations: clean, stylish, with nice amenities. Highly recommend this spot if you’re visiting the area.

  • Glenn Rock is an adorable area with loads of charm and small town feel. We loved the restaurant which is located in the lobby. The food was great! We had dinner in the bar area and brunch the next morning! Both were really great! We had everything that we needed and they also allowed us a late check out because we were away for a hike that day. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Take the time - even if it means going out of your way! -to stay or at least have brunch or dinner at Glen Rock Mill Inn! This last weekend at the Inn was terrific! After biking up the NCR trail we were welcomed by the lovely staff and shown to our accommodations on the top floor of the inn. Luckily the back entrance allowed us easy access to the newly renovated third floor so we could easily wheel our bikes in for safe overnight storage. The room - actually two rooms - a bedroom and sitting room with TV - was zen and spa-like; spacious, cool and literally sparkling clean with a super comfy bed, mini fridge with all the amenities of a five star hotel. Once we settled in we were shown around the inn and the various dining rooms by the hostess - the fountain room, the cellar, the back patio, the front dining area and the bar. We had drinks at the bar and then moved to the dining room for a delicious farm to table dinner. We chose the charcuterie to start and then crab cake, and shrimp entrees. All delicious and served by the attentive wait staff. The next morning we were offered a lavish brunch (included in the price of our room!) with $1 mimosas which we chose to opt out of as we were planning to bike back to Baltimore after brunch. We could not have planned a better bike ride with accommodations and a dining experience that was absolutely terrific! Thanks so much to Brandon and all the staff at Glen Rock Mill Inn for making our anniversary so special!

  • The mill offers lovely rooms and wonderful hospitality. The rooms were very clean (we had a group and had three rooms) and well stocked with towels, coffee, and water.
