This rental is great for anyone seeking a get away to Loudoun's Wine County and surrounding areas. At the foothills of Short Hill Mountain you will rest in this quiet space near wineries, historic Harper's Ferry and the Potomac River. Load your bike, kayak, and hiking boots and enjoy all that Western Loudoun has to offer. You’ll love this place with 2 adjacent wineries to the farm & a 3 acre stocked pond, grab a book and hit the highway to Western Loudoun and welcome an opportunity for serenity.
This unique space is located within one of our farm properties and is a second story apartment overlooking our pastures. Typical guests can observe goats and pigs foraging on our property.
  • Fantastic! The apartment is larger than we expected with great natural light and wonderful views of the farm and the greenery. It was comfortable, easy to find, and super close to Harper's Ferry and surrounding wineries. It was a great escape from the chaos of the city. Highly recommended!

Everything was very clean and orderly, check in was a breeze and the farm-fresh bacon and eggs + coffee was such a lovely touch. We walked over to Maggie malick’s wine caves, beautiful!

  • Nancy’s place was the perfect location for our adventure. Everywhere we planned to visit was a short drive. Her place very clean and beautifully decorated.

  • This was our third stay; it’s become our go-to spot when we want a quick getaway from DC. It is on a quiet street and is a short drive to Harpers Ferry. We enjoy taking our dog to the trails and then enjoying some craft beer at Harpers Ferry Brewing — a great dog-friendly brewery with beautiful, panoramic views. Highly recommend!

  • Quaint and perfect for anyone not planning to spend tons of time at the AirBNB. It was clean, had all the amenities for coffee and washing up. It was exactly what I needed, a place to relax after a long day out.

  • This is our second time staying at Nancy’s & we loved it as much as the first time. Check in was quick and easy, the apartment was sparkling clean, and there were a ton of personal touches and local tips. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. It’s the perfect spot for a getaway!

    Joanne2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time this year staying at Nancy's place. It was a clean, welcoming and quiet. She was kind enough to allow my father and I to both bring our dogs. It was such a nice location to reach a lot of little towns and explore Antietam. We love the feeling of stepping back in time in Burkittsville. Getting the key is super easy with the lock box on the door. The extra cot that she put in the room was a full size bed and incredibly comfortable. Way more than I was expecting! There are towels for the dogs. Lots of suggestions for things to do around town. And tons of little touches that just make it feel like home. Nancy left us extra bottled water since there was something going on with the plumbing which we never even noticed. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

    Amanda2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place to stay while in town for a wedding- quiet and very clean. There were so many amenities and thoughtful touches- we felt very well taken care of!

    Becca2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing apartment and stay. Nancy’s place is the cleanest airbnb we ever stayed at. It’s so warm and inviting, very thoughtfully and stylishly decorated. We felt at home with the comfortable bed, comfortable, the very soft and high quality extra towels and all the basics available for a convenient stay. The place was quiet. We appreciated the simple check in and check out. Nancy is a fantastic host and extra points for accommodating our well behaved dog.

This house is on 45 acres of property and was built by my father, Jack Yates. The main area is an open floor plan with two living room areas, a dining area and a kitchen. The house has a rustic feel with the walls being rough wood and wooden beams across the ceiling. There are also two bedrooms, a full bathroom and laundry/utility room. This house is the perfect place to get away or take a break. Just a short drive away from parks, trails and the Potomac river.
The house is located on 45 acres with open fields and woods to walk through. This is a great place for someone who likes a older rustic feel but still has TV and other modern amenities. It would be the perfect place to bring your family to get away and enjoy the present moment. There is a full kitchen so you can cook meals, but there are also restaurants in the town of Poolesville about 10 minutes away.
  • Simply lovely, but not "uptown".

  • This was our 3rd stay at the cabin and it was the best yet! The cabin is clean, cozy and well appointed. We moved from the area and needed a place to stay when we visit our children and grandchildren. It was wonderful to have a place where we could gather everyone together. The cabin kitchen and family area is open, spacious and comfortably fit our large family. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils, serving dishes and pots/pans for us to prepare a meal for the family. We can’t wait for our next family dinner at the cabin!

    Sheri2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a GEM! Much larger than the photos appear. Everything you need for a comfortable, quiet and private stay. Way big bang for your buck! Be sure to ride the ferry while there and have dinner at Bassett's in Poolesville. Wesley is the perfect host and we can honestly say this was one of the best Air B&B's we have ever rented!! 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Barbara2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My family love this place !! ... and it has everything that we need for a great vacation in a peaceful environment. Mr Wesley was a great host !!

    Marcial2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a rustic getaway. The old-fashioned wood fireplace is very charming, as is the collection of quirky glassware. We just went for a night to have some quality time and play some board games, so I can't speak much to the Poolesville scene. Wesley was very open to helping out and responsive.

  • I will be back again and again. I travel for work around this area a few times a year and was looking for something affordable yet with some amenities. First, Kim & Rich are so thoughtful and friendly. I felt like I was coming home to a close family friend. They also gave me an abundance of tips for the area. There's plenty of breweries, wineries and restaurants nearby (20 minute drive to Frederick, which can also be an easy uber). They had a mini fridge in the room which gave me plenty of storage for all the meal prep I brought for the week. I could even do a load of laundry before I left! So many little touches that made this space great, and I look forward to coming up to this area again...whether that be for work or fun :)

Want to get away from the craziness of life for a short time~then our guest house is for you! Lose yourself among the lush greenery and stately trees of our little taste of paradise. The best part is that you are still only 10 minutes away from downtown Frederick where there are so many unique shops and restaurants. Washington DC and Baltimore are less than an hour away.
  • I had an amazing stay in the blue cottage. The cottage is surrounded by nature, totally private. Lots of fountains and sitting areas with fire pits around the property, a swing, horses and a lovely barncat. You get a great view of the sunrise from the top of the driveway, and right around the corner on Cherry Ln is a spectacular sunset view. Close to Frederick. The cottage itself is stylish, had a fully stocked fridge, espresso maker, and chocolates. It was overall spectacular. I will be back!

    Ryann2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay very much. Very secluded at the back of the property. Even saw a family of deer in the morning.

    Steve2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was absolutely amazing. Because of previous guest reviews, we had high expectations, and these expectations were definitely reached! The cottage is tucked away among trees, along with beautiful landscaping and a wonderful wooden walkway lit by colored lights. It was very private and just what my husband and I were looking for. It felt like a little oasis of our own!! Huge windows overlook a glistening trickling stream, and the sun sheds beautiful light into the room in the morning. The room itself is not only wonderfully and tastefully decorated, but extremely clean and well-stocked with everything from towels to a fridge full of every beverage you can think of (including half-and-half for morning coffee!). The shower felt quite luxurious with a fancy shower head and nice soaps, as well! My husband and I also loved sipping on the DELICIOUS coffee from the fanciest coffee machine I've ever seen while rocking on the bench out on the porch overlooking the previously-mentioned landscaping and bright green surrounding trees. 5-second version: Extremely private, amazing coffee, beautifully decorated, wonderful hosts; Stay at this cottage!

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING hospitality and retreat!!! I want to share this adorable getaway with all my friends, yet selfishly keep a secret for ourselves, lol. My boyfriend and I will probably turn into frequent guests. All of the small touches did not go over looked. The Ghiradelli chocolate that I devoured is my favorite (How did they know?). I felt like sleeping beauty on the comfortable bed and linens. The masks were perfect for applying to avoid the beaming morning sun. Yet the views were so tranquil and serene. I meditated by the stream. Mark was gracious enough to let me borrow his yoga mat. Entering the cottage with spa like music was a refreshing and invited a tranquil energy flow. We appreciated all of the recommendations for local bars and restaurants. It rained hard the entire weekend and Mark even offered to dry our clothes for us in his personal dryer. My boyfriend greatly appreciated the gifted beer and fresh zucchini from your garden! I could on but i want you to have your own amazing experience. Mark and Kim, thank you for your generosity and your sweet kindness. We are grateful!

    Tatiana2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay in this adorable cottage. Mark was very attentive, checking in frequently enough to see if we were OK but also letting us have our privacy. The cottage itself is very cute, well decorated, with an amazing view of the woods. Amazing coffee machine! Was great meeting the dog & seeing the horses on the property. Have already recommended to friends and would definitely come again.

    Maite2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely describe Mark and Kim’s place as whimsical! Everything was wonderful and very clean! We enjoyed our stay very much!

  • I stayed at Honeysuckle cottage for an overnight getaway with 2 college girlfriends. It’s tucked away in a gorgeous little spot about 15 minutes from Downtown Frederick, which allowed us both easy access to great restaurants and feeling a million miles away from reality. The cottage was immaculate and beautifully furnished. We were obsessed with every detail, from the rustic light fixtures to the fragrant honeysuckle hand soap. Mark and Kim were great hosts and quickly responded to questions and suggestions for local restaurants, wineries, and breweries, even offering to arrange a private tasting with an up and coming neighborhood brewer. We spent our afternoon at Big Cork winery, a scenic 25 minute drive away, at their recommendation. It was just what we were looking for. Couldn’t recommend this experience more highly!

Great location for a fun get-away! This cozy little cabin has recently been remodeled by a retired carpenter, and is perfect for a quiet stay in the country. Walking distance to Sugarloaf Mountain hiking trails, and a short drive to Sugarloaf Winery and Comus Inn, the cabin is perfect for couples, or solo adventurers looking for fresh air, hunting, wine tasting, hiking, or other outdoor fun.
The cabin is equipped with everything you might need for a long or short term stay. Two single beds, shower, kitchenette, TV and Wifi.
Sugarloaf Mountain Winery is a 6 minute drive away. They have wine tastings and many weekend events. Check their website for schedule. Comus Inn is the closest dining available. Good for fine food or romantic evening out. For obvious reasons, there is no pizza delivery here. Closest place for pizza is Dickerson Market.
  • A wonderful cozy cabin has everything one needs for a quick getaway from city life or work. WiFi is slow and cell service spotty but that’s is the point. Super quiet and peaceful area as well. The cabin came fully stocked with cookware and all the necessary amenities.

  • I had the spontaneous idea to get away for NYE, and wanted a cabin for some solitude, seclusion, and peace. I was lucky enough to find Bob's place, and it was exactly what I needed! Bob was responsive and provided more specific directions to get there as it is a bit out of the way. He met me in person to check in and explained everything well. As some others have noted, his house is right next door, but after check in, I had privacy the entire time. The cabin was clean and had lots of amenities in the kitchen. The beds were comfy and I slept great. The porch was great for sipping coffee in the mornings and listening to the quiet still of nature. I walked to the Yellow trail at Sugarloaf from Bob's place, but you could also drive a short distance to one of the parking lots if you choose. Overall, Bob was a great host and I would recommend this cozy cabin to anyone who craves nature and a relaxing getaway from the city :)

    Sherri2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bob’s cabin has a lot of cool history while still having all of the modern amenities. The location is secluded but there is still a lot to do within 15-20 minutes. Bob is a great host and provided a bunch of recommendations on the local area. Will definitely be returning!

As hosts, we are here to provide whatever you need, but we can also make ourselves scarce and let you enjoy your home away from home.
We live on the first small hill of the Appalachian Mountains, nearly 400 feet above Rt. 15. At different times of the year, this gives us a view of the towns in the valley below, or beautiful, enveloping foliage and lush vegetation. The neighborhood is quiet, and neighbors generally keep to themselves. Cars use our road periodically, but on the weekends, we also get cycling enthusiasts that use our road to train. There is plenty of room in our driveway to park your vehicle, and the area is very safe.
  • Brian was an awesome host! Comfortable, extremely quiet and roomy. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if we were ever to come back to the area. Close to Historic Leesburg. Beautiful countryside.

  • Brian and his wife have a beautiful home and the space was cozy and we immediately felt comfortable and at home! The kitchen was furnished with all the utensils that we needed to make some food. Brian did a great job communicating and letting us know what to expect! You will love your stay!

    Charity2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our stay at Brian’s place! It was clean, cozy, and just what we needed for a weekend away. We especially loved the fresh duck and chicken eggs for breakfast each morning, and all the local recommendations provided by the hosts. It was great!

    Julie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully quiet, homey and with great amenities. The fresh eggs and complimentary wine was absolutely lovely to have, and the cleanliness was outstanding! 10/10 visit, would stay again 100%

    Hayley2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Brian was great! We appreciated the quiet space and homey feel. Great amenities to cook some of our own meals and plenty of room for dogs as well! Highly recommend staying there if you are looking for a place to get away but be close to several vineyards, breweries, hiking etc.

    Hannah & Leland2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome week at Brian’s place. The space is large and very clean. Thoughtful touches like eggs from their chicken and duck coop, a bottle of wine on arrival and a candy dish with sugar free treats made it perfect. The mattress was so comfortable-I am usually an early riser but it was so quiet and comfy I slept until 10 most days. They have a cute dog named Viking, it was a pleasure to be greeted by him on arrival. Really lovely place, am a fairly new Airbnb user, but I can unequivocally say this was the best stay I’ve had-will definitely stay again when I am in the area!

    Elizabeth2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a quick weekend in the area, equipped with everything we needed! Great spot for our pups as well!

    Katherine2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful - Brian was very quick to respond to any questions we had and they even had a nice note accompanying a bottle of wine and some fresh eggs from their chickens across from their home. The location was only about 10min from downtown and nearby a large Outlets center and other shopping centers. Was perfect for what we were looking for. Recommend!

Comfortable, nicely appointed private suite in the heart of historic downtown Frederick, with off-street parking and a Tesla charger. Located in our finished basement, it has a comfy bed, large flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, microwave, hot shower and a window seat that can be converted into a 2nd bed. It's stocked and cleaned with earth-friendly products. If you want to be downtown, this is your location. Local restaurants, shopping, museums, parks, and theaters are all within a few blocks.
This renovated suite is in our 3-story brick Federal style historic home built in the 1880's. It has parking for one car, a private entrance and upscale yet comfortable amenities. There's also a 48-amp Tesla charger you can use (for a $10 fee). The exposed ceiling joists give the space a somewhat rustic feel and warm color tones create a welcoming atmosphere. A wall-mounted TV can be adjusted for viewing from the queen-size bed or the window seat (which can optionally be converted into a twin bed). NOTE: If you want the window seat made into a bed, please indicate so when you make your reservation. The room is stocked with packaged breakfast fare, filtered water, coffee and tea bags, and a kettle so you can heat up water. We also provide towels, shampoo & conditioner, a blow dryer, iron, and ironing board. We clean with and stock the room with earth-friendly, fair trade and recycled products. Want to work? Choose the wall-mounted fold-out desk with a chair or the laptop table by the window seat or head to our business, Cowork Frederick, for a discounted Day Pass.
We're in the center of historic downtown Frederick. There are restaurants, breweries, ice cream shops, upscale and casual dining options, parks with walking trails, and entertainment all within easy walking distance. When we say "within easy walking distance", we mean it. The Weinberg Center for the arts is just 3 blocks away (.3 miles). Brewer's Alley is just 225 feet away. White Rabbit Gastropub is even closer. Within 500 feet, you'll find a Starbucks, Volt (of famed Bryan Voltaggio), Cakes to Die For, Pretzel & Pizza Creations, Firestone's Culinary Tavern, and more. Baker Park is 4 blocks (.4 miles) away. I could go on, but I won't. I'm sure you get the idea.
  • excellent hosts! The space was cozy and close to restaurants in town. Julia greeted me personally which was a nice touch. She also made sure I had a parking spot, and was very quick with communication. I hope to stay again soon.

    Jena2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect spot from which to explore downtown Frederick. Very clean and comfy apartment with everything you need and Julia was very good with instructions and local tips. Being a basement unit, there is some noise from above but not too bad. Garbage trucks in the morning are another issue... That said, we still want to go there again for a longer stay next time and explore more of Frederick’s rich history.

    Jackie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Glen & Julia were amazing! The location was perfect, everything is within walking distance of the two main streets in downtown Frederick. Their place is spotless and extremely comfortable. Any question I had they responded extremely quickly, and also had nice touches around the suite to help guide you to some cool places in Frederick. I honestly could go on and on about how hospitable Glen & Julia were! A friend of mine lives in Frederick, and this will always be my air b&b when I come to visit!

  • Great location, beautiful scenery, amazing hosts...everything as expected. Thank you Eve & Ryan!

    Jerah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot tell you how perfect our stay was! From the moment we checked in to the moment that we left, we were definitely in awe. First off, there is not much that you will need to bring as this listing has everything you’ll need. Our stay felt like home away from home with all the toiletries and linens as well as special touches like snacks and treats. Each morning I was able to make delicious coffee with the items already there. The theater is on your own private level, which will not be a common area that is shared. Any questions we had were answered right away and kindly! We were informed perfectly on how to check in and we definitely were sad to leave on our last day. You cannot go wrong staying here as it will exceed your expectations of what already seems like an awesome listing! Every room was immaculately clean and ready for use. We didn’t have kids but they even had so many accommodations for young ones. (Cribs, bottles etc.) Even though we are both adults, we enjoyed the fussball table and board games Etc. If I keep writing it’ll be too much to read so we just want to say thank you for our stay as we cannot wait to revisit soon!

  • GIGI's Suite is a lovely place to escape to. Janice added so many romantic touches to the place during our valentine's get away. Chocolates and amazing grapes and various heart decorations throughout the apartment. I was able to make two full meals while we were there and all of the kitchenware I needed was already in the kitchen. This place is extremely comfortableand so close to an excellent vineyard...Creeks Edge.

Guest suite is part of a restored, historic log cabin. The cabin, with it's own private entrance, is connected to a larger farm house. The secluded seven acre property, located on a lightly traveled country road, features a creek, pond, barn and extensive landscaping-a great place to relax. Note that while we do have WiFi, the signal can be weak at times.
The guest suite is two stories tall with two bedrooms and bath upstairs. Downstairs has a den, library, and full bath. There are three stone fireplaces in the cabin. There is an under counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The front porch has a swing and rocking chairs.
This is a quiet, rural setting with much privacy. We are close to many wineries, brew pubs, great restaurants, the Appalachian Trail and the Harper's Ferry Adventure Park.
  • Host are wonderful. Not as much privacy as I would have liked. But comfortable setting.

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wally and Carolyn hosted my family at the last minute, providing a fabulous place for a mini-reunion. I had family coming in from across the country for a memorial service and my husband came down with the flu. Rather than have people stay in a house with the flu, I looked for an alternative. Wally and Carolyn's place was nearby, and Wally quickly answered my questions about whether it would be ok to use it as a gathering place for family. I booked the reservation and family members arrived a few hours later. It was a charming place in the country, with antiques and a gas fireplace. Wally was a great host, sharing stories of reconstructing the log cabin and doing renovations. They were very accommodating about having lots of family members visiting late into the evening. They really saved the weekend! My family wants to stay there again next time they come to visit. Thank you Wally and Carolyn!

    Becky2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is lovely, a wonderfully charming home in the countryside. The gas fireplace is wonderful to enjoy on a chilly evening, and the place is furnished with wonderful pieces.

    Vickie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wally and Caroline’s place was great! We stayed there for two nights and really enjoyed the cozy log cabin feel. The gas fireplace was definitely a big perk. There were two living areas downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs, and two baths for our use. A mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, and utensils were available as well. There was a tv with dvd movies and lots of books to read. The location was on a large property near the cute little hamlet of Morrisonville, close to Purcellville, Lovettsville and Leesburg. It was perfect for a quiet, relaxing weekend!

    Nicole2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is our family's favorite Airbnb. The historic home and grounds are meticulously and beautifully maintained. The location is peaceful, tranquil, and soul-renewing. Wally and Carolyn are wonderful hosts, and we look forward to our next visit.

Lots of thoughtful touches throughout (frozen pizza and breakfast sandwiches in the freezer, water bottles, extra blankets, flashlights that were easy to find, etc.). The shower is amazing, the bed and couch are super cozy, and the views are beautiful and peaceful. Donnie is also a really wonderful host - he even offered to check in on our dog while we were out! And he recommended some great hiking and wineries nearby. Overall we loved the place and hope to come back soon!

  • Great hosts and amazing views. You will not be disappointed with this comfy treehouse!!

    Michael2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse cottage provided a wonderful space for a cozy, romantic weekend getaway from the city. Our husky puppy loved watching the birds in the trees. The cottage was very clean when we arrived and provided thoughtful amenities for guests.

  • My boyfriend and I loved staying at this treehouse. The bed was so cozy and comfortable and the view and sounds of nature were lovely. We loved the huge windows and the unique shower!

    Stanislav2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t recommend the treehouse enough. All we wanted was a quiet night away from the city and that’s what we got, plus so much more. Such a beautiful space.

    Abby2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolutely breathtaking! Terra Nebulo vineyards is right around the corner and has an amazing white blend! The meat pizza is delicious! We decided to head back and enjoy the views and coziness of the treehouse. Cooked dinner, enjoyed a bottle we brought back and star gazed...perfect end to an evening! We definitely will be back and highly recommend!

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind stay in this restored 1700s cabin guest house with modern updates and beautiful decor. Off the beaten track but only about 1 hour from both DC and Baltimore. Located on a working farmstead and close to wine country, breweries, a goat cheese creamery, farm-to-table dining, and more. A favorite landing place for those out in the country enjoying Loudoun's Artists' Tour, Farm Tour, Wine Country Half Marathon, a wedding, a hiking trip, or just a weekend in the countryside.
This eighteenth century cabin was reconstructed on our property in the '80s from its original timber. You'll love its huge, rough hewn logs and the wide floor boards. The decor is a mix of primitive, vintage, and contemporary furnishings. We've outfitted the cabin to make it a comfortable home away from home for you: an antique four poster bed, luxurious Belgian linen sheets, fluffy 100% cotton towels, bathrobes, organic coffee and tea, a small refrigerator, homemade granola, and more. PLEASE NOTE: The cabin has electricity, and has seasonally available heating and cooling, as well as its own fireplace, but it DOES NOT have its own plumbing. A full bathroom for your use is located in our main home, just 50 feet from the cabin's location. This doesn't cause most guests a huge inconvenience, but it does make middle-of-the-night or cold weather trips a bit more of an adventure.
  • Perfect for couples, this historic, beautiful cabin was a great stay. Sarah was a fantastic host and was kind and helpful at every turn. No indoor plumbing wasn’t an issue as the main house is just steps away.

    Sean2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying in this historic cabin. Sarah was a most gracious host, always available and never intrusive. The place is beautiful and has a great feel to it. I stayed for quite a few days in order to attend a class in the area, and really felt quite at ease, even with the bathroom in the main house. I would recommend this place to anyone.

    Diana2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a weekend getaway. Not too far from Baltimore/DC but it feels like another world.

    Taylor2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Ben’s place is lovely! Close to conveniences, yet feels like it’s out of the way. Lovettsville is a gem all in its own, but still within 20-30 minutes of other amazing destinations! Cabin was beautiful and clean. Communication was top-notch!

    Patricia2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, historic cabin. Very comfortable. Yes, the bathroom is in the house, but it's close and easy, especially with such gracious hosts.

    John2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a great place to stay. You will enjoy the ambiance, location and all the personal touches.

    Brian2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend staying here! The cabin was stunning and filled with delicious coffee and homemade granola! Also, Sarah was super communicative and flexible. Some bonuses: their cat was SO friendly - it made being away from our own pets a little less hard. And while the town is small, there’s some great restaurants, wineries, and breweries within.

    Anna2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at this amazing 1700s cabin was a very unique experience I would highly recommend to other travelers. Sarah is very friendly and has great communication, and you will love the charming cabin and how well it has been decorated. Sure, the bathroom isn't attached, but live a little! We loved all the chickens (and rooster) roaming around the cabin. There is drinking water, coffee, etc. available. If we had one thing we could change it would simply be how much time we were able to spend there, due to our quick travel turnaround time and full schedule in Lovettsville. Awesome property.

  • It was perfect for me and would be great for a couple as well. Clean, convenient, friendly and welcoming hosts, close to many shopping/dining venues!

  • Ireen was great! There was something wrong with the original room and Ireen had another great room prepared for me with all the same amenities. She also checked in with me daily to make sure everything was well. Thank you for your flexibility and for your hospitality!

Rustic 1870's farmhouse in Loudoun, VA, off a scenic byway near Historic Harper's Ferry, wineries, casino, restaurants, farms, and adventure parks. Send a message for alternate dates, longer term, and special requests.
The home is a very unique and rustic log farmhouse built circa 1870. The home has all of the modern conveniences but retains much of its original rustic character. The home is in a valley between two mountains, Short Hill to the East and the Blue Ridge to the West. The house has a large room for relaxing, and dining. A full kitchen, two bedrooms, and a sitting area. There is a large covered front porch with chairs for relaxing. The porch has a view of the vineyard across the street, and is great for sipping wine and watching the cars go by.
The best part about the Western section of Loudoun is the many activities, history, wineries, and scenery. A rural setting with quick access to several towns and cities. The wineries often have festivals with music and dining. During warmer weather amazing BBQ can be had on either end of the strip. The house backs up to over 600 acres of conservation and parkland. The Appalachian trail and hiking are accessible from the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship, as well as other locations. There are many hikes available around the area. There are several adventure parks for outdoor adventures, as well as many historical parks. There is a lot to do and see in the area.
  • Christopher’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway to Harper’s Ferry. It’s a great location to get to many areas quickly and easily.

    Brandon2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what I wanted for a long weekend away from DC. Perfect location requiring short driving distance to Harper's Ferry and all the wineries and breweries. Very relaxing atmosphere.

    Margaret Ann2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Homestead was an amazing location to stay at. Not only was it close to Harper’s Ferry and all the wineries you could dream of, it had its own amazing charm. To be in such a historical home that maintains a lot of the original hardware and charm was so fun. Plus he has updated heat in the upstairs which was fantastic for the cold nights.

    Katherine2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Chris’s farm is amazing! From the updated farmhouse with everything you need, to the amazing views and farm store with friendly barn cats to greet you, this farm stay is not to be missed! Very close to Harper’s Ferry, hiking, Purcellville, and tons of wineries!! We will be back!

    Melissa2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house is larger than expected with a cute kitchen and a huge bath tub soaker. We were all very comfortable in the homey space. It was clean, had lots of info for guests new to the area, and games ! It was a pretty location for going to wineries and relaxing in a space away from town.

    Zoe2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was my third stay at Christopher’s place, and as before it was perfect. His home is so comfortable and full of character, you can’t help but feel right at home. Perfect location to kickback and relax, with plenty of historical sites and wineries to explore. This time I particularly enjoyed my visit to Antietam Battlefield (25 minutes away) and to Notaviva Vineyards (right down the street). Great stay and a great value!

    Glenda2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Christopher’s place for a girls’ weekend and the farm house was a perfect spot for us. It’s about a 20 minute drive to town, but the wineries and other outdoor attractions are very close and the location out in the country makes it super peaceful. The farm house has lots of original features to keep its charm, but it has been updated so that you’re perfectly comfortable and have everything you need. Beautiful gardens and farm around the house. Christopher was very easy to communicate with and helpful. Definitely recommend his place as a home base for visiting wineries or other outdoor adventures nearby!

    Melissa2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! We had a fantastic stay in this old farm house. Wake up watching the sunrise over the wineyard across the street, sipping coffee on the veranda. Chris' turkeys are an absolute treat, they are so curious and made my weekend! This house is located in the heart of wine country, with so much to do in the area. Lots of great hiking trails, history to explore, breweries and more. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. I would absolutely love to come back!

  • This place is wonderful. It’s cute as hell, blissfully private, and the perfect getaway. The floors are very uneven and a little loud but they’re sturdy, and the well water has a pungent odor but the host supplies water bottles & a water jug in the fridge so you never have to use it if you don’t want to. The smoker out back was a great surprise! All in all this place is well-designed, comfortable, inviting and lovely.

Mary Ann’s Guidebook in the Airbnb app lists everything worth checking out..definitely read it before your stay. They were very accommodating hosts! You will have your privacy completely, as the guest house is several yards away from the main house. Would definitely stay again!

  • The cottage is a great place to stay if you’re looking to get away. Bonnie was a very thoughtful host left a lot of farm fresh extras in the kitchen so you could whip up a breakfast in no time. The space was clean and well taken care of.

    Steve2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie’s cottage was a perfect winter weekend getaway. The space is very charming, cozy and well decorated and Bonnie left some pastries and pantry staples from local producers which was an incredibly thoughtful touch. My partner and I wanted to spend the entire weekend indoors and Bonnie was gracious enough to loan us some cooking utensils so we could prepare all of our own meals. It’s well located with several wineries nearby and best of all the onsite brewery. I can’t recommend Bonnie’s cottage highly enough - a perfect place to escape to for a few days of relaxing!

  • Air and Chris’s space is amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. The decor is so thoughtful, colorful and cozy. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the night. Their home is right next to Harpers Ferry Brewing which offered some great craft beers and food trucks with delicious food. Air and Chris thought of everything, down to providing a wine cooler/warmer that was perfect when we brought back some room temp white wines after dinner. The space is much larger than the photos may lead you to believe. So believe it or not my favorite part was the bathroom mirror. It was huge and had a LED ring of bright light that was PERFECT for a makeup junkie like myself who was terrified there wouldn’t be a well lit area. Harpers Ferry has so much to offer that we certainly plan to return to Air and Chris’s again!

    Maya2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't do it justice. • Lena’s Flat is a charming, cozy studio in a great location to experience all that downtown Frederick has to offer. Only two short blocks to Carroll Creek linear park, and the restaurants and breweries on Market Street are all an easy walk from the front door. Also includes off street parking and is very pet friendly. Pamela was a great host!

  • Nice to have private pkg. soooo convenient- we walked to restaurants and around the canal with boat models light up in evening! What a nice space. The space heater made it so pleasant to enjoy the glass room w table for breakfast.

  • What a great little apartment with everything one needs! I loved the location. It was a quick walk to everything in beautiful, downtown Frederick. Pamela is very quick to respond to text messages, and she cares that her guests are having a nice stay.

  • Great space in an incredible location just a few blocks from everything downtown Frederick has to offer. Host was very quick to respond to any questions or comments.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Lena’s Flat for two nights in December. We absolutely LOVED the location - we were two/three blocks from downtown (just had to walk right down the street in one straight line). There were so many restaurants, antique stores, gift shops / boutiques, etc. nearby. The flat itself is up a flight of stairs and there is a step down

  • The basement apartment is huge! It is very comfortable and clean. The neighborhood was quiet. We would definitely stay there again next time we are in the area.

  • This place was clean, big, beautiful, easy to find, and so homey! We were in the area for a wedding and didn’t want to spend the down time in a hotel room. This space was perfect! Easy check in and totally private. They even left a bottle of wine and plenty of snacks for when we returned from a long day of preparing for the wedding. Highly recommended.

  • Terri is a great host. She is very attentive and as nice a person as you’ll ever meet. I stayed at her place for an extended period so I got the opportunity to interact with her often and I enjoyed getting to know her. She is a chef so I was lucky enough to enjoy some of her creations. And they were amazing! She is a great cook and a good friend.

    Tony2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Terri due to a business relocation to the Lovettsville area. I really enjoy the country feel of that property and location. From that home I could view the mountains, watch beautiful sunsets and see deer every day in the yard. The 11 acre setting is just beautiful. Terri is a wonderful host. In the time that I spent with her she has become a friend. She treated me like family which felt great having just made a long distance move. And she is a wonderful chef!!

    Tony2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a clean, very quiet, private place, then this is it. If you can stand no TV, no internet, just a place to gather your thoughts, you have found it (writer's paradise). Terri had everything ready when I arrived. We had lots of rain this weekend but barely heard it outside. AC kept everything comfortable. Oh, and great pillows! Just a great experience. Thanks to Terri.

    Wythe2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Terri’s place! The listing was very accurate and Terri’s special touches were really nice. Check in was a breeze and Terri was very quick to answer messages. The home itself is beautiful, with a nice spacious kitchen to cook in. Location is convenient to access Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown, or a number of wineries. We would definitely love to visit again!

    Molly2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Everything I needed for a 4 week stay. Very nice and quiet area. Terri was great with communication. Would recommend.

    James2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Terri's place. She was quick to reply to my messages. The place was exactly as she advertised! I fully recommend staying here and enjoying one of the wineries nearby.

    David2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The property is beautiful and USA great weekend get away from DC. Close to Harpers Ferry and lots of vineyards. We only stayed for one short night but would definitely go back.

    Melinda2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Terri’s place was very clean and spacious. The countryside setting makes it very quiet, yet it is still reasonably close to Leesburg and beyond. I thought the price was very reasonable compared to local hotel rates.

  • Dave’s home is lovely and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals or mix a favorite drink. It’s also a six minute drive to downtown, allowing us easy access to a fine restaurant and a concert there. We appreciated coming home to the quiet ambiance of this Airbnb after a night on the town.

    Karen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Dave's place is a great location! Close to shops and restaurants. The beds are comfortable as well!

  • Great house - lots of room, nice decoration and touches, exceptional value. Very close to downtown (walking distance).

    Dennis2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The decor of this place is a lot of fun. Each room/area has its own special theme. The main downtown area is a couple minutes drive away. Frederick is a really lovely area to explore. The weather was cold and rainy when we were there, which was perfect for the 2 fireplaces in the home. Plenty of parking, plus there is a small park steps away.

    Ashley2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Dave’s Airbnb was perfect. We were fortunate enough to have a warm weather weekend so our adult kids were able to enjoy the beautiful backyard. The home was as expected, very clean and comfortable and Dave was quick to communicate prior to check-in as well as asking us to confirm everything met our needs. So convenient to downtown Frederick as well, a couple minute drive or a nice short walk.

    Kelly2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

  • Clean, fun, and comfortable. Joe was responsive when we needed a question answered but let us enjoy the privacy of a beautiful home. Thanks!

    Bill2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very nice space . Joe was very responsive and helpful. The river view rooms and decks looked to be very relaxing. Unfortunately it was a work trip for me so I didn’t get to enjoy those this trip

    Randy2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This house is an absolute GEM in Frederick, MD and Joe is a wonderful host. His communication is lightning fast and very helpful. He is also extremely friendly and down to earth. I rented all 3 units from Joe to stay in with my groomsmen the weekend of my wedding. Joe checked in with me each day to see if we needed anything. The beds were comfortable, sheets and towels clean, appliances were all in working order and very nice. The yard space is terrific with plenty of room for lawn games and the decks are more spacious than the pictures make them out to me. The outdoor fireplace/ grill and fire ring are also big bonuses. We spotted plenty of houses within 5 minutes that sell firewood for cheap. The location is close to everything downtown Frederick has to offer, but is secluded and quiet. Not to mention, the view from the back deck is spectacular. We rented all three units for our wedding and found it to be comfortable, accommodating, and fun. We could move between the three units easily, but sound did not travel. We could all be together or separate as needed. The water pressure in each shower is great and there was plenty of hot water for the whole house to use. I highly recommend Joe’s house on the Monocacy River for weekend getaways, wedding weekends, family reunions, romantic getaways, and even staycations! Lyft, and Uber both pick-up within minutes. Thank you, Joe!

    William2019-10-07T00:00:00Z

  • Really cute place! Host was very communicative through the whole process! Loved it!

    Michaela2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a weekend at the cottage but easily could have stayed longer. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was lots to do near by, especially if you like vineyards and breweries! We also visited the near by historic town of Harper’s ferry which was lovely. The complimentary water, tea and coffee was much appreciated and whilst there are plenty of options for eating out not too far away the kitchen was pretty well equipped for self catering as well.
