I had pleasant two weeks at Gerard's guesthouse. The room was big and comfortable and shearing the toilet, shower and kitchen with the other residents worked well. It was a convenient way to meet new people at a foreign place. The nature around the guesthouse is very nice, but in terms of public transport the location could be better. Nonetheless I could get a bike from Gerard and he also gave me a lift to the station in Hasselt. All in all I can highly recommend this place!

All basic services are available. in a very quiet neighborhood and nature reserve. Ideal to relax. Everything is always clean.

Great accommodation especially in price/performance scale. Was very clean with extremely good internet connection. Location is peaceful and safe. Only for parking you need to ask where to park. As conclusion it’s not possible to find any place around with this price and quality, better than most hotels around.

Splendid accomodation! Great value for the money. The ideal is to arrive by bicycle or car and then stay for a week to explore the region. Great walks and cycle trips can be made in the surrounding nature. In the room there is a bed, a desk, a small table,,a wash basin with hot water and 4 towels. Switch on the heater and it's warm in 15 minutes, open the window and fresh air comes in. If you want to keep the window open, there is a net to keep the insects out. The shower and the toilet is downstairs, shared with 1 other person. The kitchen is also downstairs, shared with all the other guests, which is nice for a chat. In the kitchen there is a coffee maker with pads, a water boiler, a refrigerator and a sink. There are also 2 cupboards per room (5 rooms). Everyone is responsible to help keep the kitchen and the cooking utensils clean. For me the important part was that I could come and go, as I needed, for resting in between rides and that I could park the bicycle safely. The bicycle went into a locked shed and there was even a power plug to recharge it in there. Also the portable computer was safe in the room, which could be locked. Definitely recommended for a longer stay in the neigbourhood!

Please don’t book this wonderful house - Ann & Dirk are such wonderful hosts we want the house for ourselves! The house is perfectly presented in a quiet cul-de-sac, perfect for families, lots of cycling amenities and routes nearby and within an hours drive of various cities and tourist destinations!

The apartment is located near the city of Hasselt wich is great for shopping and eating out. Also visit Bokrijk for a walk through the park. The apartment is beautifull, cozy and well equipped.

Jozef is a very good host, always reachable, always gave an answer to our questions, When we got there, the child dining chair was ready for us, he even gave a child seat for the bicycle, we are grateful for that. The house is 5 minutes away from the city center, suitable for long stays. We stayed there for a month and everything was perfect. Couch and under of it could have been a little cleaner. I have to mention that, the check-out was a little bit strange. He even checked the stove, taps and automatic shutters. What could we have done to them, I don't know yet. But he is a nice guy. I definitely recommend this place.

Great town house right near the centre of Hasselt. Jozef was there to greet me on check-in and show me around the house which was lovely, modern and super clean. We had a really great stay at De Boomkikker, the place is very comfy and Johan was very welcoming. We loved having direct access to the garden, especially with our little dog who was the happiest !

Great stay with girlfriends at "Boomkikker"! We arrived later than expected and Johan had everything in place so that we could enter the accommodation despite his absence. The same evening, he even proposed to open the pool so that we can already enjoy it when it was midnight! The accommodation is as described, located in the garden of the host, this cottage is charming! A big thank you to Johan for his availability and his kindness! Dear owners and a lovely house, everything is there. The garden is also beautiful and our daughter, & we secretly too, enjoyed the kids and everything that goes with it. The environment is also perfect for a quick getaway with the family. A lot of outdoor nature adventure so that is always fun.

Great place to stay if you want to escape the rush of life for a couple of days. We felt right at ease and enjoyed the location as much as we loved the bed (extra credits for that). We stayed at Het Proefbos to attend a festival so we only had 1 day to really enjoy the house. However, we would like to stay here again next year and prolong our stay and make it a full vacation. We are already looking forward to returning!

First of all, the place is really simple to be located. The information and instructions provided are clear and simple. Once arrived in apartment, our eyes could not believe what we saw, omg, stylist af and all was clean and the bathroom was really well made. We love the bed the most because of the firm mattress. Cozy seating area with comfortable seat. Very comfortable bed with good pillows. In short, we really enjoyed our 2-night stay in this modern apartment. This is highly recommended!

Great accommodation, with lots of nice details, super clean, spacious, very central, yet very quiet. The host is very nice, communicative and caring in every respect. Land and people get to know each other in the real Airbnb spirit!

The location of the castle is beautiful: in the middle of the forest, alpacas, sheep and donkeys nearby, good cycling and walking possibilities, ... The bedrooms are good and soundproof. The showers are nice and warm. Hygiene is fine. The living space is very large and cozy. The kitchen is very small. We have ordered pizzas and have done gourmet. Real cooking for 12 people in the kitchen is not easy. Friendly and welcoming reception. Among us there were no guests. Possibly our stay would have been less good if there were guests there, because walking on the floors is very audible through the castle. Then we probably should have taken an hour stop into account. Fortunately this was not the case with New Year's Eve.

Top location, a place to relax and unwind!

Fantastic setting, beautiful castle. The showers and toilets are modern, but the castle retains its charm. The kitchen is somewhat small, but cooking for a large group is perfectly possible. The adjacent nature reserve is a big plus.

We were with a group of 10 men. Since we are all work people we could only arrive late at night on the domain. Nevertheless, Peter was very friendly and the reception was warm. We were allocated a full floor where the bedrooms were in a separate part of the castle. This was very pleasant since "early-sleeping" people can go to sleep undisturbed. The domain is surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve and at the same time the city (St-Truiden) is only a 7-minute drive away. The living space is very well equipped: A large table, a spacious seating area, a small music system, sufficient lighting and electrical outlets. Only the kitchen was a bit disappointing (no oven and somewhat small). But this was communicated in advance, and is also indicated in their description. In advance we anticipated and adjusted our cooking menu, where the small kitchen suddenly became a cozy space to be able to catch up again face-to-face with that one old friend.

With a group of 12 we stayed in the castle last weekend. The location is great, very green and quiet. A view of a bunch of sweet alpacas was definitely a plus. The beds were just as comfortable as the seats and everything was fine. The only thing that could have made our stay better was a larger kitchen. With a few presses, there were three people, and when cooking for large groups, a good oven, a better cooker and a dishwasher would come in handy. Nevertheless, a real must!

The castle was completely inaugurated. Peter was hospitable and helped looking for nice places to go for a walk! The domain is really beautiful. Definitely recommended to go

Great stay in the old railway hut! Very cozy space that is furnished to perfection. The room heats up fairly quickly with the pellet stove, and with the extra blankets we slept cozy and warm on the mezannin. Jo was very welcoming and it is nice cycling in the area. We will definitely be back.

Great host, great place! Slow life!

Pleasant reception, explanation and assistance with lighting the stove and hot tub. Both were nice and warm. Even at night it was not cold thanks to the good down. This is definitely recommended for a relaxing weekend away, away from the daily bustle.

Very warm welcome in the milk hut, with some extras to make our experience even more pleasant! After we turned on the fire, the cold was out of our heads and the hot tub fully heated us up in the evening. We could also borrow bicycles on site for a day out, which was great fun. The region is very bike friendly, with beautifully marked routes away from the main road. Thanks for the kindness Joe!

A must for those who want to enjoy the outdoors and slow down a bit

Joe received us very warmly, the heater was already on when we arrived. It is a beautiful location to spend the evening, night and morning! It was very cold (-2), but we had no problems with it thanks to the heater and the down blanket! Getting up was pretty fresh, but the rays of the rising sun in our face and the delicious breakfast made it a beautiful morning. We will definitely be back!

Nice, immaculate room. Perfect for a night out when you have to be around somewhere.

We particularly enjoyed our stay at De Vierslag. After a bike ride in the immediate vicinity, we ate delicious salmon and asparagus and we also enjoyed breakfast very much.

Nice and spacious room where everything is there, can join in with the wonderful extensive Easter breakfast and very sweet and hospitable people!

This weekend I had a training weekend and didn't feel like traveling up and down for 2 hours every day. So I went looking for a nice AirBnB and I am so happy that I found Mishey's garden room. Nice host, nice accommodation and beautiful location. Highly recommended for a weekend in Hasselt!

face to face with the water. this was a very special location next to the pond. the waterbed fits very well to this :) in the evening we went to Eetcafé De Kwaakvos ( quack frog) a pleasent place that is just around the corner, few minutes by feet. thank you mishe we enjoyed our stay very much.
