Places to stay in Beaver Harbour
Rustic, charming 100-year-old home in a quiet setting. Great location in the harbour, view of the fishing boats on the water, short walking distance to the wharf and seaside exploration. The property has a large, private back yard, with a deck complete with furniture, clothesline, wild raspberry bushes and apple trees. Great place to recharge with some rest and relaxation. For outdoor enthusiasts, pack your bike/kayak/paddle board/hiking boots! Lots to explore! Also host is a wedding officiant.
This house is near and dear to our hearts. It was built in 1917 by my husband's great-grandfather. It has been told that while building the roof, they heard the Halifax Explosion. My mother-in-law was born in this house and we have heard many great stories and have fond memories of her in Beaver Harbour. The house is now only used as a summer cottage and our hope is that our guests enjoy the rustic feel of this old house and leave with fond memories! Do to recent news articles regarding AirBnB, we are proud to say we do not list on other rental websites and have never canceled a guest to replace with another guest that would pay a higher price.

  • Great and peaceful location to visit the Bay of Fundy (From the Hopewell Rocks to St Stephen) and see the tide. The house is clean, Nadine is very responsive, she answered all our questions, and we felt like home. We definitely recommend this place!

  • Nadine's home is lovely. She was very easy to communicate with and accommodated an early check in prior to an event we had near by which was very appreciated. The area is beautiful. Lots to see and do within an hour drive. Nadine leaves lots of tips and suggestions to help. The home is charming and cozy and has everything you need to relax.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Grammie's House. Gary met us at the house and was readily available during our stay. The house was exactly as advertised and it was a great home base for exploring the coast between Saint Stephen and Saint John. We all loved watching the fishing boats in the harbour come and go. The kids loved exploring on the beach as the tides went in and out. Beds were all comfy and there was lots of space for the four of us. The house is very large and could easily host 8 comfortably. Thanks for the great hospitality, Gary.

  • If your looking for the perfect place by the sea this is it! We found it to be centrally located for our itinerary. A free ferry ride to Deer Island, which we enjoyed. Only 10 minutes to get the ferry to Grand Manan. St Andrews, St. John’s, and Fredericton within a short distance. Waking up to a perfect view of the harbor ! Sunrises were so picturesque! Found ourselves having coffee on the deck, watching the sun rise then walking in the beach to find shells. He’s got great recommendations! Everything you need plus more in the kitchen. Curl up and enjoy a book out of his library or go hit the town. Either way this is a 5 star accommodation!

    Diane2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous stay to be at! The view on the harbor is magnificent, the house is super well equipped and beautiful decorated. The sunroom is nice and cozy to stay at in the afternoon. There are lots of magazines and books that can be read, games that can be played and there is also a canoe that can be used and a firepit. These touches make that you want to stay.... so awesome! Gary has thought of everything; he is a great host! We really recommended Grammy's House.

    Philippa2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Grammies house was a wonderful get away with girlfriends. We all enjoyed ourselves, all had our own bedroom which was a bonus. Only one bathroom. The house has everything you could ever need for your stay. Gary even had extra toothbrushes for his guests, just in case. He supplied many toiletries for your use in bathroom, condiments in fridge, spices in cupboards, games to play, books to read, shawl wraps at front door for those cooler nights and the list goes on. He truly thought of everything you might need and goes above and beyond for his guests. The locals were very friendly. The location and view of harbour were amazing. I would love to return and I would totally recommend Grammies place.

    Deena2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week at Gary’s house and we can’t find words to explain how beautiful this house is! There is the beautiful view, the gorgeous house and the nicest host anyone could ask for! We give the house and the host a 5 star rating! Dalton and Sherrie Clendenning

  • We stayed at Gary’s place to attend my niece’s wedding. The property was beautiful and was so well equipped. Gary was a great host and was quick to respond to any inquiries. My girls loved combing the beach for sea glass. It was a lovely holiday.

  • You just can't beat the view for the price. If you're going to the Maritimes, it doesnt get much better than this. The place is cozy and comfortable with enough touches to help you feel at home during your time away home. Being able to watch the tide come in and out from the front porch was fantastic and communication from Lucy was prompt and courteous.

  • Pretty little cabin located directly on the fishing port, facing the sea and trawlers. Clean, well decorated and equipped. No garden but the beach for playground!

    Erwan2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The views and salt air are great. A rock beach across the street where my family had a great time collecting sea glass. It's located in a fishing village and you can walk to the wharf in a few minutes. A great getaway on the ocean with top notch hosts.

    Chris2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely retreat awaits you at Lucy’s place, complete with everything you need while on vacation. The location directly on the bay is excellent. The area is peaceful and tranquil and there a modern lighthouse a short walk away. The ferry to Grand Manan is also only a short ride away.

Enjoy the beauty of nature at your doorstep in this hand crafted log cabin located directly on the Bay of Fundy with panoramic views of the ocean. Experience some of the highest tides in the world and walk on the ocean floor at low tide. 160 forested acres, beach and 3000 feet of ocean frontage. 15 minutes from the picturesque resort village of St. Andrews by the Sea. The property host lives up the road and will greet you upon arrival.

A number of the neighbors are summer residents from across Canada and the US who own vacation homes on Holts Point. Some of the families run small farms with goats, chickens and bee hives. It is a very friendly community of people who love living by the sea in New Brunswick.
  • This is an amazing, wonderful and beautifully designed house with lovely views of the Ocean! Everything is even more beautiful than the photos. The house is very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed our time relaxing at this peaceful place, while also being close to St. Andrews. Jackie was a lovely, patient and courteous host. I’d definitely come back. Highly recommended for everyone.

  • What a find! My husband, I, and our golden retriever truly enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing five nights at this amazing, special spot. This one-of-a-kind, charming log cabin had a wonderful, private location with amazing views. Want quality down time? A well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and furnishings, large deck, and proximity to the bay are all you need to stay put if you so desire. We were sad to leave. I highly recommend staying at this exceptional cabin. Many thanks to Jackie for sharing her family property.

  • My husband and I spent a wonderful quiet week at this beautiful ocean front cottage. It is full of warm, rustic charm and is the perfect spot to relax and explore the amazing sights of the Bay of Fundy and Passamaquoddy Bay. From the deck we saw seals and spent many hours enjoying the ever changing tides. There are rugged hiking trails throughout the property that wind along the sea cliffs and it’s close proximity to St Andrews for all amenities. Jackie was a lovely host and I couldn’t recommend the cottage more!

    Emily2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage has the amenities you need while exuding rustic homemade charm. Functional and comfortable. There is an expansive deck overlooking the ocean which is literally a stones throw. Watch the tides come in and out, comb the beach and watch the incredible sunsets... close to St. Andrews but completely secluded.

  • We spent a week at Susan’s cottage the last week of August and had a wonderful time. The area was quiet and private but it wasn’t secluded. We used Susan’s guide book and guest book to give us hints on the best spots to visit and were never bored or disappointed. Susan was always quick to answer any questions we had and was a wonderful host. It was especially cool to see the tides from the cottage! I would highly recommend going to “The Niger reef” in St Andrews, and “Tipsy Tails,” on the way back from hopewell rocks in Alma, as these are both hidden gems.

    Lauren2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay. Amazing views on the tides. You'll like it!!

  • Hosts Lucy and John are friendly, customer oriented and manage a lovely air B n B. Location is great for those who want a place a little off the beaten path in a small fishing town. Very cozy but close to St John, St Andrews and just a ferry ride away from Deer Island. Also great hike to a beautiful coastal nature preserve. ( Pea Nature Preserve). Also there is a local museum in town that has numerous artifacts and historical records of the towns founding .. very fun and worth visiting! We loved everything about the town, our hosts and the location of our cozy B n B!!

  • Being unfamiliar with Beaver Harbour (or the entire area) we were unsure as to what we would find. Within hours of our arrival, we’d fallen deeply and irrevocably in love. Lucy and John’s house is beautiful, clean, well-equipped, and offers stunning views. From Beaver Harbour itself to St. Andrews, Grand Manan, Fundy National Park, and every breathtaking vista in between, this region of New Brunswick is beyond compare. So entranced were we that we’re seriously thinking about relocating there. We cannot recommend this rental and the hosts highly enough. Warm, welcoming, attentive, generous – they went above and beyond to make us truly feel at Home.

    Alexandra2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This home was so clean and tidy, and it had everything we needed! The check in and check out was easy and communication was quick. John and Lucy came by several times to make sure we had everything we needed. We had an infant with us and it was perfect for him - clean and safe for walking and playing around on the floor. We had such an incredible time in this home. The hospitality was next level. We were blown away by John's generosity as he took us out on his boat, which was definitely a highlight of the trip for all of us as we saw seals, a porpoise and a shark! We would definitely return and suggest this place to anyone! We wish we could have stayed longer :)

    Linda2019-07-03T00:00:00Z

  • The cottage cannot be in a nicer setting nor any closer to the water! We could hear the waves on shore, had a nice covered front porch, fished off the dock, had a fire ring (hosts provided firewood & kindling), grilled seafood on the grill & went canoeing on the lake right from the property. The location at the end of a dirt drive was nice and private. The hosts were more than gracious and available for anything/questions/suggestions. We loved our stay & would recommend the place to anyone!

  • Joan-E’s place is a rare find and truly a treasure. It is sparkling clean and very well appointed. The breakfast items were so thoughtful and got our day started well. The beautiful view of the ocean is outstanding all times of the day and night. A special treat was star-gazing at 6 am (shooting stars and constellations) on the deck with coffee watching the morning sun rise. We hiked the nearby nature trail through the forest and the ocean views were gorgeous. We enjoyed our too brief trip to Poclogan! Thanks for sharing tour piece of heaven with us.

  • Joan'E 's beach cottage is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the Fundy Bay! The cottage is superbe, clean, and the hosts' attention to details makes it a great vacation place. The view is amazing and the kids (and the adults) had a great time exploring the tide pools at low tide.

  • We scrambled to find a home with power to stay in after the hurricane and luckily found this gem in Pocologan. It’s an older home with picture perfect views, a lovely private beach and everything you may need for a short or long stay. We had a wonderful morning hiking the New River trail nearby and breakfast @ the BayBreeze restaurant. We are thankful for the owner’s generosity and would definitely make a return trip in the future. -Paul C

  • We had a great stay at Kim's home; we even had a momma deer and her babies come to greet us each morning on the side lawn. We enjoyed all the local sites recommended by Kim, quick walk to Pea Point lighthouse and the Grand Manan ferry. We loved how spacious the house was...room for all of us. We enjoyed game night in the dining room and had tons of memories and laughs. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home, Kim :)

    Renée2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house and grounds are beautiful and the town is so cute here! Very close to ST Andrews which is the cutest town and great whale watching! Kim is a wonderful host and so quick to respond and help out!

  • Kim's place is definitely the place to stay in if you are stopping at Blacks Harbor. The house is spacious, comfortable and well furnished. We stayed with 3 kids and couldn't have asked for a better sleeping arrangement or a bigger yard to play in :) The house is very well located being close to the ferry and Pea Point Reserve/Lighthouse. Kim is a considerate host, quick to get back with any questions we had and super helpful.

    Arti2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is picture perfect and it has all the amenities you may need. More importantly Kim is an excellent host. If you are planning to visit St- Andrews, Grand Manan Island you must start here!

    Raju2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a hidden gem. It’s about a 30 min drive from St. Andrews and the closest you’d get from Grand Manan on the main land. The house is huge and tastefully decorated. They have a grill, a trampoline, a ping pong table, and a huge backyard. They are minutes from the ocean. There’s also a washer and dryer. This would be perfect for a family get away.

  • The owner, Vince, is a really nice man. Very conscientious towards his guests, offers a nice continental breakfast that he tailors towards you, and he's thought of most of those things you might not, like if you forgot an umbrella, for example. We'd stay here again no question.

    Mark2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely AMAZING! We had a short stay but Vince offered an early check in as well as a late check out simply out of kindness. It is not possible to see how lovely this cottage is by the pictures. There is so much charm and character inside and it is equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay and so much more! We were so comfortable and the wood stove was perfect for the chilly winter weather. This was the first time we were left fresh food for a good breakfast in a cottage stay. Vince was extremely welcoming and explained where everything was nearby if we decided we wanted to venture out. An amazing place with so much room and an amazing host. We would give 10 stars if we could. We will definitely be back!

    Mirria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage, nice and warm even in the winter. The region is gorgeous and worth exploring. Host is most helpful and available.

  • We recently stayed for two nights and did not want to leave!! If you are contemplating booking this, don’t hesitate, just book it! The pictures do not do this place justice, the cabin is lovely and spacious, decor is rustic and beautiful and the setting is just wow! It was cold outside but we were warm and cosy with the heaters and wood burning fire. The attention to detail in the cabin was amazing and it was so well equipped! And sparkling clean! Beds were comfy, huge claw foot tub and great hot shower! And it was such a nice touch to provide us with breakfast items which was more then enough to do us both mornings! We had our 2.5 year old son with us and he loved the kids treasure chest filled with colouring books and toys to keep him occupied! Also the beach to collect shells and explore! Vince is such a lovely man and a fantastic host, we cannot wait to return!

    Jenna2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a sweet place for a getaway. My husband and I stayed for a week this fall and loved this cozy cottage. It's a lovely place to be as winter is coming around. We were able to have a fire in the woodstove every night and were quite warm. The place was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

    Jennifer2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Vince should be a super host! He was fantastic with messaging us before, during and after our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was great! A hidden gem! The living room was so cozy with the wood stove! Vince met us when we arrived with the wood fire going, had some breakfast supplies in the fridge for us, showed us around the cottage, had printed directions to local stores and restaurants, and flyers for local attractions. We loved walking down through the woods to the shoreline and exploring at different tides levels. And it was great to sit by the wood stove and look out the large windows and watch the birds come and go to the feeder - and my daughter loves finding them in the bird book Vince had supplied. Everything needed for a great weekend at the cottage was supplied: all kitchenware, wood and fire starters for the wood fire, wood for the fire pit, board games, books, tv, wifi (worked great), plenty of towels and blankets, even first aid supplies! If you are looking for a quiet getaway, you can’t go wrong with Vince and his cottage! We’ll definitely be back!

    Marilyn2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Vince's place is exactly as described and perfect to spend some quiet time. He has a fully functioning kitchen and laundry along with a BBQ. Vince is very generous with his property and also great in giving tips about the locals areas. Vince is great with his communications. I highly recommend his place.

    Harry2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, and Vince was a great host. Breakfast supplies for the first morning and the condiments and such were super appreciated. Short drive to New River Beach and a few places to eat nearby.

  • A picturesque cottage on a quiet lake perfect for our family to relax. Couldn’t have asked for better.

    Paula2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great little cabin on a quiet, private lake. Our family of 6 easily fit in the cabin with an air mattress and crib fitting up in the loft. The little private beach was great, a bit rocky at the shore, but in the water our kids said “it was the softest sand they had ever felt”. We could just set up our beach stuff and leave it. Amazing lake views and very quiet. Was about 30 minutes to St Andrew where we walked the tides and saw the gardens. Both highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again!

  • This is an amazing, historical, salt box home on the sound with fantastic views! We four hiking- group mature women instantly fell in love with every aspect of the place. The tiny bath & bedroom sinks were surprisingly functional. The home had every amenity we needed. We hated to leave and wished we had stayed there longer than our two nights. Also, Jason is a gracious and wonderful host.

    Carol2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing & peaceful getaway! The views were absolutely stunning! The house is kept very clean and has had some recent upgrades done that add a great touch. The pictures don't do the place justice- our expectations were definitely exceeded based on what we expected from the pictures. The house, deck, and yard are all very spacious! I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to go back again next year!

    Nicole2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect home to spend a week in! The views of the cove during sunrise and moonrise were magical. Flowers upon arrival were a really nice touch. Highly recommend!

    Jonathan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem of a house! Honestly the pictures do not do this beautiful place justice. The house itself is a beautifully maintained beach-front home with a large flat lawn that ends where the beach begins. There is not a bad view from the house or the huge new back deck. All three bedrooms are upstairs and well-appointed. Very comfortable. The kitchen has all the necessities, and the Esso gas station down the main street has a full market with everything you’ll need for your stay. The beach is easy to access for lots of shell searching at low tide. There is no TV and the internet was spotty, but to be honest I welcomed the lack of technology and got a lot of reading and journaling done. I spent the weekend here alone and felt very safe. Jason was easy to communicate with and offered lots of great local tips! I can’t wait to go back. To say it was a peaceful and relaxing weekend would be an understatement!

Our beautiful little two story home is so cozy and quaint. Located just steps from the beautiful bay of Fundy boasting the highest tides in the world. The home is smoke free with a spacious open concept with all the amenities of home.
The space is open concept, clean and airy, a great place for a family vacation, business travellers, or parents just needing a getaway from the kids. The community is very quaint, very friendly locals where fishing is the business of the day whether it be for work or pleasure.
Because we are steps away from the ocean, you can walk around the neighborhood, enjoy the friendly locals, have a bomb fire on the beach, bike to the lighthouse at Greens Point, attend the Blueberry Festival and outdoor concerts during the season. Check out the video of the Bay of Fundy on Vimeo and search for The Bay of Fundy Starts Here, great overview of our area! We are approximately 30 minutes from St. Andrews, N.B. which has just been voted "Best Destination in Canada" From Local Newspaper: Saint Andrews, N.B., is being recognized by a major American news outlet as the best place in Canada to visit. "We were, if not the smallest, one of the smallest communities that was chosen for the top 10," said Mayor Doug Naish on Shift NB. "So, we were already dealing with that disadvantage, but it turned out not to be a disadvantage." Saint Andrews saw record year in tourism, mayor says Travel writers for the USA Today Best Destination in Canada contest picked the top-10 places and then the public voted for their favourite, explained Naish. "Quebec City was probably our main competitor all through the contest," he said. Quebec's capital city finished in seoond place. Other communities that finished in the top 10 were Lunenburg, N.S., Saskatoon and Montreal. Naish credited the community for voting in the contest, but also encouraging others to vote for Saint Andrews. Residents recently learned of the contest victory during a plaque ceremony for the greatest street in the community. Given that USA Today has a large readership, Naish said that being named the best place to visit should have a positive impact on the community and the region. "There will be many people, particularly Americans, who may have never heard of Saint Andrews or Charlotte County," he said. "And now, they will hear about it because it's closer to home in terms of a publication they're familiar with."

  • Great location and great host. Cottage is very well equipped. Wade is a pleasure to speak with and the food at the takeout up the hill (run by Wade’s wife) is also excellent. Will definitely be back and will be staying for multiple nights next time.

    Brad2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Hathway Cove Cottages was great! Wade was an excellent host, we even got to experience his band in action. The location is beautiful and the kids loved the hot tub and the blow up castle!

    Jenny2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is rustic but in great location & beds comfortable so good night's sleep. You look out onto water through big windows. Lovely to watch sunset & birds. Wade very friendly & we had good dinner from his wife's takeout.

    Rosalind2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • What you need to know about Wade is: outstanding hospitality. He was amazing at attending to our requests, even after having to get everything ready for us after a pretty big group had stayed there the night before our arrival. It really IS amazing to look out of your front window and see the ocean right there...50' away. If you're looking for a family-friendly place to stay (the hot tub was great!) or a place simply to rest, relax, and recuperate, as you watch the sunrises and sunsets across the islands, Hathaway Cottages is most definitely the place to go.

  • Wow what a beautiful spot! This lovely oceanfront home has views from every window. There's a nice yard with easy access to the shoreline and even a tree swing that our daughter enjoyed.. Our family of 5 had the house to ourselves with plenty of room for all. The beds were very comfortable and the newly remodeled 2nd floor bathroom is very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal. Our favorite part was having coffee on the deck in the morning sun overlooking the bay, just spectacular.

The charming Periwinkle cottage overlooks the ocean, great views of the sunsets, whales, eagles, seals and boats that pass by. Cottage has a lovely screened in porch with loveseat, chairs and marble top table for dining. The screened porch leads to open deck. Adirondack chairs overlooks the water with a small firepit. Cottage sleeps 3 with loveseat in LR making a twin. Kitchen has most amenities. New Brunswick has 15 %HST Tax which will be collected separately in Resolution center tool.
We follow the strict cancelation policy with AIRBNB except for the Marathon weekend in late June where we do not offer any refunds.
On Lighthouse Road you will find mostly oceanfront Seasonal cottages all the way down to the lighthouse.
  • Periwinkle Cottage is cozy, quiet and beautifully situated. A lovely get away if you enjoy outdoor eating with a view. Having both a deck and a screened porch means you can enjoy the natural beauty no matter the weather.

  • An amazing ocean front view, clean cottage, an amazing back deck that featured a comfortable hammock and, screened in living space all overlooking the ocean! Definitely want to return in the future. Campobello Island is a must visit.

  • a delightful cottage that makes for a perfect island stay. my husband and i stayed for three nights, and loved the setting and the whole experience. everything we needed was in the cottage; thebed was incredibly comfortable, great reading lamps (a huge plus for us) and both a screened-in porch and a deck overlooking the lovely cove.

  • Love this place! Had the opportunity to revisit after 10 years and hope to return sooner than that next time! Highly recommend!

  • We enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was so quiet and peaceful, exactly what we were seeking. The cottage was stocked with everything one could need and extremely clean. We really enjoyed the chairs rights on the ledge overlooking the water and took advantage of the hammock for afternoon naps in the sun listening to the birds and wind in the trees. No need to look elsewhere if we made the journey again to Campobello Island, we’d stay here again. Dennis is a fantastic host.

Joan"E"s place is a place where your family can get away from the everyday routine and return to what matters........ Family.
  • This place is BIG. But it has a cozy shore cabin feel. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves every morning; being able to see the bay from almost every room in the house. Just being able to look out upon the bay and walking along the beach every day made for a real relaxing stay. It stormed fairly hard one day so we sat in the one sitting room playing board games and watching movies. A real plus. Tons of things in the cupboards both kitchen-wise and activity-wise. Plenty of room for a large family to spread out. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back one day!

    Stephan2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The location is very good, the room is great, very clean, there are a lot of board games, breakfast is prepared, it is worth recommending!

  • WOW! This cottage is amazing! Right off the highway but on a very private road. It felt like we were in our own little beach house right on the ocean, untouched by the busy world but close enough to any amenity to get anything we needed. The cottage is very spacious and has everything you need right at your fingertips. There is a beautiful provincial beach just a three minute drive away. We had wonderful campfires both on the beach and in the bonfire area on the property. The view is stunning and the the sound of the ocean waves gives you energy in the day and lulls you to sleep at night. We stopped for groceries before arriving, only to find out that Bernard and LoriAnn had provided breakfast necessities for us in the fridge. They are very thoughtful and welcoming hosts-- we will be back for sure-- this time for longer!

  • Our stay at Joan “E”s place was so much more than we expected. The cottage is beautiful and charming - a lot of love has gone into the decor and making it a comfortable and cozy place to stay. The cottage is well stocked with everything you could need and more, including some thoughtful food staples in the fridge. The special touches were a lovely surprise and made us feel so welcome. The property itself is stunning and the ocean view as well as access to their beach was incredible. We loved staying at Joan”E”s place and wholeheartedly recommend it!

  • Perfect for the family, the house is spacious and the location is awesome. And the view... The private beach is fantastic. Bernard gave us great tips to visit the area. We appreciated all the little attention they had to make our stay comfortable after the long drive. We are already thinking of coming back with friends in a couple year.

  • Bernie's place is a perfect way to experience all that the Bay of Fundy has to offer. Low tide reveals a massive sandy private beach and you can watch the tide roll in and out from the magically secluded backyard lined with flowers, bushes and trees. The house itself was very welcoming and eclectic, winderfully decorated and quite large! Our family had a blast and couldn't have asked for a better location to spend our vacation together, definitely hope to be back in the future.

Oceanfront property located in St. George NB overlooking two breathtaking private beaches on the beautiful Fundy Bay Coast. Nestled at the end of the road on a very private and safe 5 acre oceanfront property. Relax and take in the natural scenery
3 bedroom 1 bath cottage. There is a queen, single, and a double bed. The living room has a sofa, chair, tv, and piano. The living space is very roomy for a small cottage; the kitchen and longing area are all open.
  • Gorgeous views and tranquility await! Shannon is kind and great with communication. Three bedrooms (a queen, a full, and a twin) makes this an ideal family spot; they're on the small side, but with the incredible views in the big living area, you'll only be using them for sleeping and will appreciate all the space given to the living/dining/kitchen area. A grocery store is a short drive away. (nb for coffee drinkers, there is a k-cup machine but not a drip coffee maker)

  • My wife and I were blessed to enjoy this cozy cottage with its idyllic location on Paradise Point and thank Shannon and her family for the warm hospitality and for allowing others to experience the exquisite views and fabulous location on the Bay of Fundy. Pictures cannot do justice to the cottage, the amazing views and the smells of the ocean and pine forests. It truly is a little piece of Paradise. The location gives one a true sense of solitude and offers breathtaking views of the bay with its gorgeous sunsets, and daily variation from overcast and foggy to brilliant son and blue skies due to the dynamic weather patterns. As the cottage is located at the end of an isolated peninsula with water on three sides it gives one the sense of actually being on the water. It is amazingly private and quiet with the only sounds coming from the variety of sea birds, fishing boats coming and going as they tend the Atlantic salmon aquaculture, and of course the gentle sound of the sea lapping on the shore and the breeze in the pines. Bald eagles frequently perched in the trees or the rocks directly in front of the cottage. Deer come into the yard and a fox visited one evening. The sea level changes are dramatic with local tidal level variations of up to 6 meters offering tide pools for exploring and impressive viewing. There is a private secluded beach on one side of the cottage that becomes quite large at low tide. The cottage was spotless, special thanks to Shannon’s daughter, as I later learned. It is both welcoming and charming with everything one needs to settle in and make this home while visiting including warm bedding, linens and towels as well as a washer and dryer. The cottage has a spacious deck for viewing the bay, a gas barbecue for grilling, and windows in every room all providing outstanding views. Shannon provides a most helpful binder with excellent and well organized suggestions and lists of everything one needs including specific instructions and contact information. She and her family live only a short distance away, and she welcomes her guests to stop by and meet her family at their convenience. She is most gracious and supportive and prompt in her response to any and all requests while respecting her guest’s private time. We ate the majority of our meals in the cottage which is well stocked with all items necessary for cooking. All appliances were in good working order and there is ample hot water and electric heaters to keep the cottage warm and comfortable on the cooler days and nights. As Shannon notes there is a smart TV with Netflix and YouTube, and the Wifi works extremely well. The local market, and speciality shops (with fresh seasonal seafood, excellent smoked salmon and fresh baked goods and fudge) will meet all your basic needs. The location facilitated easy access to St Andrews by the Sea (which offers whale watching, fine art and craft galleries and many shops) and St Stephens (Ganong world famous chocolate factory and museum)as well as the larger city of Saint Johns for any and all needs. The scenery in Saint Johns is highlighted by the reversing falls of the Saint John River (there is an excellent viewing structure with an excellent restaurant overlooking this reversal). There is a major highway facilitating easy access to adjacent cities with distances ranging from forty kilometers for St Andrews to seventy five kilometers for Saint John. I enjoyed attending local churches for services and breakfasts at the historic Algonquin Hotel in St. Andrews. We were fortunate to visit the cottage at the peak of the fall transformation of the deciduous tree leaves with the trees displaying the full spectrum of fall splendor guaranteeing truly spectacular views sure to amaze even the most discerning of us ‘leaf peepers’. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage and highly recommend it to others seeking to get away from the normal hustle and bustle and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and the serenity of the ocean at Paradise Point, it is sure not to disappoint. Sincere thanks to Shannon and her family for sharing the cottage in this uniquely beautiful location. We feel especially blessed to have discovered the cottage at Paradise Point and for having been allowed to experience this amazing location and all it has to offer.

  • We had a great week at Paradise Point cottage, the view is beautiful and very peaceful. The cottage is comfortable and nicely appointed with all of the necessities. We were able to quickly drive to New River Beach, Saint Andrews (whale watching was great!), Saint John and the ferries to Grand Manan and Deer Island. We would love to stay again some day.

  • A beautiful place to spend a week. The view is spectacular perfectly private and peaceful. Everything you wish for in a quiet break.

  • Paradise Point was an amazing vacation spot for our family of four. Our 3 and 4 year old had a blast beachcombing one of the smaller private beaches, finding a plethora of unique sea glass for their collection. We had a nightly bonfire by the ocean, enjoyed the grill very few nights, and it was the perfect location to venture out around the area!

    Amanda2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage truly is paradise! A beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful sea breezes and incredible views AND a great spot to be based while exploring the Bay of Fundy and all it has to offer. The cottage has everything you could possibly hope for and Shannon and her family were excellent hosts who were always available to answer questions. You will not be disappointed if you book this cottage!! I look forward to visiting again soon!

We are located in a beautiful salt water cove, the tides are always changing . It is so breathtaking to just sit and watch the wild life crossing the cove when the tide is low and the birds picking at the ocean floor for food. When the tide is high that is the best time to head into your kayak or canoe and go explore the small islands, mabey even take a picnic.

Our place is up the road from a great little beach, kayaking, biking, close to the wharf, and family-friendly activities at Deer Island Point (4 km away). My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). If you are a kayaker, you can put kayaks in about 1000m from the house. There are two little convenience stores on the island and two places to eat. Local artists, divers, kayakers, bikers, and birders love this place.
A quaint family home with 3 full bedrooms upstairs 2 with double beds, 1 with a queen size pull out couch, 1 bathroom upstairs with bathtub /no shower. Downstairs, 1 bedroom with double bed, living room pull out couch and bathroom with stand up shower. Washer, Dryer, fully equipped kitchen. Great porch to sit and feel the breeze.
Deer Island is like going back in time. Leonardville is a quaint little fishing village. The photo opportunities are boundless, great spot to relax, kayak, sail, or just enjoy the scenery. There are bikes and helmets n the garage, ride at your own risk.
  • We were so pleased to stay in a Deer Island Family home. Joanne's home/cottage was very clean with many amenities and well located on the island. It's not hard to see how the island gets its name, there are deer every where. Five deer greeted us every morning!

My island home is a traditional 1 & 1/2 storey fisherman's cottage overlooking the Bay of Fundy. With eastern exposure on the deck and sunroom, on sunny days you can enjoy your morning coffee with the sunrise. In the afternoon, the sun comes around to the southern front of the house and vegetable garden. At dawn and dusk the deer come out to play and eat and are often seen very near by. The cottage is cozy & colourful, with handmade art & beach combing treasures featured throughout.
The house is very old - over 150 years old - & has been updated here and there but is still pretty rustic with some odd features that give it character. Be aware there is a steep-ish, non-standard staircase so guests with mobility issues may have difficulty getting up and down stairs. The washroom is on the main floor and I can provide sleeping accommodations on the main floor if the stairs pose a problem - just let me know.
My place is at one end of a small community called Leonardville. There is just a scattering of houses in this part of the village and it is very quiet. The village has a post office and a garage and not much else. However, there is a forest walk and a rocky beach nearby and islands that you can access at low tide, so lots of natural features to explore. There are two small general stores on the island, both in Lords Cove en route to or from the ferry. Bella’s has a good selection of canned and dry goods as well as frozen foods, some fresh(ish) produce, milk etc. but not much else. There are also several small galleries and craft/gift shops on the island and one restaurant called the 45th Parallel, also located in Fairhaven. Janice's Veggies in Fairhaven has fresh local produce in season and my garden is also available so please help yourself - just make sure you close the net fence again so the deer don't get in and help themselves :) Shopping - Food & Drink: You will probably want to shop on the mainland before heading to the ferry as there is not much available on the island. St. George is the closest town - take exit 52 or 56 and follow the Main Street into town. There are two sections of the town, separated by the river. One section has a small mall with a good supermarket, a drug store, dollar store etc. The other section has a Scotiabank with ATM, a bakery & a really good butcher shop (Terry’s Meat & More). Uncle Mayn’s is another smaller general type store just off the main road in from the highway at exit 56 & has the only Alcool NB outlet in the area. You can buy wine at the supermarket as well. Gas up before getting on the ferry as there is no gas on the island.
  • Kat's place is the IDEAL island getaway! Not only is her home the perfect cottage (and very deer-island-esque), but the space was exactly what we needed. Wood stove! (Need I say more?)! Large kitchen, perfect living room, kitchen and bathroom spaces! Plus, the bed was extremely comfortable! Thomas and I couldn't have picked a more perfect spot to rent for our anniversary. I am so grateful that Kat was so easy to communicate with, and that she was so generous with her home. You don't want to miss out a stay at Kat's Kradle :)

    Bryana2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Katrina was an excellent and thoughtful host. I didn't get to meet her, but she left tons of helpful information and was easily accessible through airbnb. My dog and I had a wonderful stay in her home. We enjoyed the island and watching all the deer that were in her yard every night! Very beautiful location. Would highly recommend. One thing to note is that the internet is very slow. Ideally you wouldn't need it at all and could disconnect! But for those that have to work online, like myself, it's something to plan around.

  • Catherine’s home on Lake Utopia is just dreamy! The sound of the waves lapping the shore lulled us to sleep. And the sunset was absolutely stellar. The home is well appointed and quite charming. Catherine was incredibly accessible and helped guide us with many local tips which was needed as this was our first time to the area. And we love the area! Peaceful, tranquil and a real sense of being away!

I was blown away by the decor, coziness and beauty of the nature surrounding this property. My family and I enjoyed a weekend in this fantastic spot this weekend and could not have asked for better. • This beautifully decorated home is all you need to escape reality! Choose one of 3 tier decks to sit on.... Morning shade or sunshine .. or sit on your private beach/dock. The lake is so refreshing! The view is spectacular!! It certainly is hard to leave such a wonderful home.

  • Stayed here for one night to celebrate our anniversary. It was a beautiful place to talk, laugh and fall in love all over again. The hot tub was amazing, the covered seating on the deck was the center piece of every conversation. Cant wait to go back again sometime

  • This cottage has a beautiful view! There were multiple areas to relax, inside and outside. We saw a local eagle fly by numerous times which was exciting! The space was very private and we enjoyed some good r+r here. Thank you!

Our gorgeous home with two-story great room, wrap-around covered porch and outdoor fireplace is the perfect getaway in Southern New Brunswick. Our home has 3 spacious bedrooms, 2.5 baths, laundry and open-concept kitchen-dining-living perfect for a large family or gathering of friends.
Situated on the Magaguadavic River in picturesque 'Granite Town', the river provides access to a beautiful natural canal to Lake Utopia. This 6-mile lake, with its many sand beaches, is perfect for swimming, fishing or water sports. And the large covered deck is perfect for enjoying the maritime weather. :) Ask us about bringing your boat! If it is the season, you can tie your boat up to our dock in the river. Imagine sailing away right from the front yard.
St. George is a small, quiet town but not without amenities. We have a grocery store, bank, post office, liquor store, restaurants and more, all within a 5-minute drive from our property.
  • Big, modern, comfortable, fully-equipped riverside house with a family feel and communicative owner. Loved sitting on the veranda in the morning sunshine watching the birds and the hummingbirds. Large garden but most of it is river shore so don’t expect lush lawn and flowerbeds. St George is a one-street town but it has a few gems, like the delicious ice cream at Pete's Dairy Bar and the walk around the marshes that fully warrants being called a nature trail. The cute tourist centre of St Andrew is 30 mins away and Minister Island and Deer Island are well worth seeing.

  • This house is located on one of the most beautiful rivers. We floated off the dock and the water was just the right temperature to cool off. It’s just off the highway, which was extremely convenient when we needed to go to town. The dirt driveway is the perfect transition from daily chaos to peaceful serenity. We were 3 couples who each felt they had sufficient space - we barely left the property through our 4 day stay. This Airbnb is highly recommended. Make sure you stop by Walmart to pickup a few pool floaties for the river, and bring your game of washertoss for outside. Oh, and Melissa - she was one of the best hosts I’ve come across! Very helpful and responded quickly!
