Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Russell

Stunning location with a spectacular view. House was comfortable and coped very well with our group of 7, however the upstairs bedrooms need to be shared by a family as access to the bathroom was through the other bedroom. Road up to house very tricky and probably better attempted with a 4 wheel drive. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

A great place to stay with fabolous views over the bay. Marion is a great host with amazing local knowledge and happy to share, opportunity not to be missed. location is great, needs relative fitness to walk up the hill.

We had a wonderful stay at Bobs place. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Very easy going and quick to respond, so peaceful and quiet and looks just like the pictures. 5 star

Had a lovely stay at Andrea's place, beautiful location and super convenient if you will be taking the car ferry! Loved all of the windows, and also the helpful amenities like coffee, a spot of milk, and filtered water.

This is a an awesome house for groups. There was a cyclone when we visited and the host was so kind and helpful. It has so many games and things for the kids to do! Poor table and darts for the adults and table tennis table for the kids was definitely a God send on those very stormy days. It is the most peaceful setting and we loved the spa pool. We enjoyed our stay so much, as the house is equipped for entertaining. Thanks to the host for helping us out with extra things during the storm! Much appreciated.

What a gem! With almost 360 degree views of the amazing landscape, Jon's place was special. We enjoyed our stay with our 7 & 3 year old, as the house was well catered for a family. Lots of games, great TV & sounds system but the Hot tub was the overall winner for us all. Looking forward to another stay here soon

Shelley & Graham were amazing hosts, incredibly welcoming and very knowledgeable of the local area. They made our stay in Paihia feel like home away from home, and the guest suite was more than we could have expected ! We will definitely be staying there next time we are in town !

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and peaceful Airbnb! The location was serene, surrounded by nature, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The space was clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Although the weather wasn’t great, our stay was lovely. Peter and Jacqueline let us know right away that the spa was broken but that they were working to get it fixed as soon as possible. They even brought us chocolates to make up for it. We were very happy to get to use it on our last morning. The view was fantastic!

The studio was spacious, airy, comfortable, and had amazing views. We appreciated the well-appointed kitchen and loved the cozy reading chair and hammock chair! John and Aynsley were super thoughtful and provided so many local recommendations. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate during our visit but we couldn’t think of a better place to stay in to read/watch movies/play games and watch the rain through the trees. Don’t hesitate; just book! 🙂

Great location - walkable to Paihia waterfront but away from the bustle of the main road. It was very clean and had everything we needed including kitchen utensils. The bathroom was nice and spacious with the spa being a very nice bonus.

We stayed in Russel for almost a week with our two children (4 and 5 years) and we had a great time. The apartment is very spacious and clean and has everything you need. The location is perfect in the middle of Russel, and with the wharf and beach right around the corner. We fell in love with Russel!! It’s a very lovely and beautiful place. The host was helpful in her communication and everything went smoothly. The only downside with the apartment is that the terrass sometimes smells quite a lot from the fish- and chips place below (because the chimney is placed right next to the terrass). However - overall we loved our stay here and would highly recommend!!

John’s place was absolutely fantastic—exactly what we were looking for! The location, right next to the ferry in Opua, couldn’t have been more convenient, giving us easy access to explore the area, whether by ferry, boat, or car. The boathouse is a truly unique experience, built right on the water, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our stay. It was such a treat to wake up and hear the gentle sounds of the water just below us. The accommodation was spotless, with the kitchen and bathrooms immaculately clean, which made us feel right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every detail of the space was thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. We appreciated how well-stocked and organized everything was, from the kitchen essentials to the fresh linens. John was an excellent host, always responsive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!!

We stayed at Roy’s Bayview Apartment for two nights during our Bay of Islands trip, and honestly - it was perfect. The property is beautifully kept, spacious and has the kind of views you just can’t stop staring at. Waking up to those views was such a treat. It felt private, quiet, luxurious and incredibly cosy. Roy was a thoughtful and communicative host, providing all the details we needed and going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making the apartment feel welcoming. It was the perfect base for exploring Paihia, Russell and Waitangi, but also ideal for just slowing down and soaking up the calm. Unique location above the marina. It was great to spend time on the deck watching the comings and goings of all the boats. The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Marina Cafe across the carpark had great meals that we ate there two nights in a row. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

We had a very pleasant stay here in Paihia with stunning water views. It was peaceful to come home to after touring all day. Easy check-in and good communication from the host. Would stay again!
