Vacation rentals with lake access in Rowan County

The best rental house I’ve ever booked. There was nothing missing. I appreciated that they provided basic cooking supplies like oil, salt, pepper, etc and they provided hand soap, dish washing liquid, etc. that many other rentals do not provide. The extra towels for the lake and hot tub were a huge help. If I had to pick one negative to point out to renters, it would be that if you have kids under 3 you will have to watch them very closely with the open stairs. But the rest of house, grounds, furniture, etc are all kid friendly. The house and grounds are beautiful, just as described. The host is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tuck’d Away. Perfect stay for the family for a local wedding. Well equipped kitchen and boat house, and comfy accommodations made for a relaxing weekend!

We had a nice wonderful, relaxing week! Very nice and understanding host/co-host. Stocked with pretty much everything you need except your clothes! We loved all of the throws that were available. Plenty of options of things to do and CLEAN. We definitely look forward to visiting again!

It was a very relaxing 3 day getaway especially with our boat. The perfect weather certainly didn’t hurt. The cottage was small but roomy. The kitchen had everything needed.

Our stay at Caitlin’s was perfect! With three young kids we had plenty of space to run around and explore outside and eat, play and sleep inside! The house is a dream come true for kids - there was a fun bunkbed, toys and games in the living room, a playset outside, a tube slide from the back porch down to the yard, a hammock and a fire pit to roast marshmallows. The house and location felt comfortable, safe and clean. Caitlin provided recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We really enjoyed the transpiration museum in Spencer and all the parks and playgrounds around Salisbury and Lexington. Everything was an easy car ride away. We will definitely be back!

Stayed while taking the little guy to Polar Express. Had a great long weekend and was an easy 25 min to the train. Coldest night of the year and loved it. Would recommend arriving during the day but we managed at night. Looking forward to visiting again in warmer months.

If you are looking for a good place to fish this is one of the best spots so far we came here for my boyfriend Bday and this was the most fish he ever caught we enjoyed it. Grilled food and did roasted marshmallows. The host was very responsive Amber & Her husband. I Didn't have no issue with them as long as you communicate with them and follow the rules everything is good about them. They answered every question If you dont like the bugs then this not the place for you and if you are not good with walking the stairs just know there are steep stairs to the doc but if you love to fish then this is definitely the place to come you will have some on and off moments with the fish but if you patient enough you will have so many fish you can have a fish fry . Caught crapees & catfish. If you want to fish at night there are a few lights provided but I would recommend to bring extra just incase and place them where you going to stand at we fished till 10-11 on some nights We will be Back!

Thanks everything was great from me asking how far you were from the location of our event for the weekend. To me and my family making memories. It’s hard to make memories with adult children in the start of their careers but this home allowed my husband and myself to make those memories. From myself and my youngest being able to open the windows and talk to my husband and my oldest down on the dock fishing and my grandpup watching his mom and pop pop fish with granny and auntie. So thank you for opening up your home to us. It’s definitely worth the money!

The lakefront cottage utilizes space well and is very clean and comfortable. The location on the lake is absolutely wonderful. Private area without a lot of traffic. We used the kayaks most of the days for fishing and exploring. Caught several bass and a 25lb catfish! The kitchen is well stocked! We cooked most meals at the house, utilizing the blackstone for breakfast. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed it immensely.

We had such a great time at Brad’s lake house! It felt spacious for our family of 4 and was just what we needed for a little spring break getaway. We spent a lot of time on the back deck and down by the water. Loved the blackout curtains to keep out the light when needed. Beds were comfortable. And of course, we enjoyed the kayaks and fire pit! A very peaceful getaway to spend time with our family. We will be back again! One thing I will mention…. Closest groceries stores are 30 min out! I would suggest getting food on your way in!

We had a great stay and would return! Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and quiet. The house was very clean and just the right size for a family. We wish we had time to take the kayaks out, but enjoyed the swings and stargazing on the dock. We took advantage of the restaurant recommendations and were pleasantly surprised. Close enough we were able to spend a day at the NC zoo and also enjoy the lake.

Jennifer is a gracious host. Great communication between us well before we arrived. She was very accommodating and the home is beautiful. Whenever we ever come back to Lexington area, we would love to stay here again.

We stayed here for our wedding and not only was it beautiful the host stephanie was great at responding to any and all questions we had! would definitely stay here again!

Our family absolutely loved this lake house, my spouse says “this place was amazing”. Chris was very responsive to my questions about the property. Lots of amenities for the whole family, we will be returning. loved the peaceful surroundings. To be fair we didn’t want to leave but had to get back to our responsibilities lol, thanks again for a beautiful atmosphere and pleasant weekend.

We absolutely loved Terrys place. It far exceeded our expectations. It was so comfortable and cozy. The outdoor space was amazing and the recommended restaurants were great. Our 4 yr old grandson didn’t want to leave!! The family spent a lot of time in the water!! Thanks so much. Will definitely be back!!

Great location on the lake with a private dock. Terry was super accommodating with our last minute booking and helpful during entire trip. Our family loved the house and especially the decks and dock. We will definitely stay with Terry again when we return to High Rock Lake area!
