We loved our two stays at Hide and Ayas . The flat had everything we needed and was pretty spacious by Tokyo standards. It was so well located in our favourite neighbourhood of Koenji . It was super easy to get to the station and so many great places to eat and vintage shopping galore . We would not hesitate to stay again !

In a beautiful, quiet location. So easy to navigate and had many places to eat around it. The train station was a quick walk and we thoroughly enjoyed coming back to this place after our long days of adventuring. The room was spacious, the bed was cozy, and being able to do laundry was so helpful. I cannot say enough great things about our stay here, my only regret was not staying longer. We will definitely be booking this again when we come back to Japan.

Rie’s apartment is at a very golden location, with only 5 min walk to a metro station. And the station has very convenient elevators just at the street corner from the apartment. We had a lovely 3-day stay there and enjoyed very much. Thanks Rie for the warm host! Recommend.

Nobu's place is in a beautiful location in Shibuya, a short walk to excellent cafes, wine bars and a small supermarket. Also an easy walk to heart of Shibuya and transport links to other areas of Tokyo. The apartment is spotless, really comfortable with natural light and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

This was a great place for our family of 3 (including a 7 year old child). The place was clean and spacious. It was also within 5 mins walk of the station. There is a restaurant downstairs where we could ordered gyozas when we were tired. The beds were big and comfortable. Kitchen and laundry is a must and this worked out perfectly. It had everything we needed. Rumiko is very responsive and was a fantastic host. She sent us pictures of the entrance so it was easy to find.

Miho was really a super host!! We enjoyed the comfortable bed, and all necessities that you need were available! About 15 min walk to the train, but bus was also available. Nice to come home to a calm and lovely neighbourhood after a hectic day in the city. Can not recommend this enough!

The perfect place to stay when visiting Tokyo! Koji and his family were very accommodating, even being flexible with our check in time. They gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, and things to avoid for our trip. I have not met a better host when using Airbnb, I highly recommend booking this Airbnb when visiting Japan :)

The place was really nice, and clean. everything was labeled in English, they had instructions on how to operate the washing machine and ac. The area was extremely nice and convenient, the station was just down the street as well as a 7/11 so it was really convenient. the hosts were really nice and responded really quickly when you had a question about something. I would most definitely come back here again.

We had a great time at this house. It gave the four of us plenty of room and the kids liked the interesting playroom on the first floor. Large parking spot for Tokyo, which we did not utilize but looked nice. Communication was great and clear pictures from Shibuya station was very helpful. It was convenient to have Life market, such a short distance away. Shibuya station was perfect location to start our daily tour of the city. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. Great communication throughout. Was even given good restaurant recommendations. Air-conditioning worked very well. Generally nice hosts. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Tokyo, and wants extra amenities and space.

The place was wonderful and spacious, and in a small neighborhood that felt like an island of peace in otherwise crazy Tokyo. My experience in the neighborhood and the home was wonderful. Everything was labeled. instructions were clear and detailed. recommendations were given with expert knowledge. It was all so very helpful because for an autistic person, Tokyo is simply overwhelming, to the point I almost had a meltdown at places so I stayed in the little neighborhood and around it and had a lovely time seeing the country my mom and grandmother are from. Ben is an amazing and proactive host. He even helped with medical info because I had injured my knee on the first leg of my trip. The Family Mart and little grocery at the end of the street were great, as were the restaurants in the area, and parks. It was always nice to walk in the evenings. Very safe.

Yasu was the most thoughtful host! He kindly came to pick us up from the station and was so helpful with recommendations and information. There are adult bikes available to use. When we asked Yasu, where we could rent a bike for our 6 year old, he bought one for him! Our son was over the moon and loved cycling around. We explored many parks, and we didn’t cover all of them. I can highly recommend the Traffic Park, for kids. They have bikes and go-carts for the kids(for free). The house is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. Our son, had the room downstairs. He loved the mini foosball table, and having a huge room all to himself. There were welcome snacks and the fridge was packed with food and fruit! The location was also terrific for getting around. We loved it here, and would definitely come back again!

Honestly, it’s a perfect deal. House is exactly like in photos. Bright, clean, fully stacked with everything you need. Loved the first floor window to be opened and have late evening munchies while watching people pass by. And on top of it all- quiet, beautiful neighborhood to explore. Close to either Shimokitazawa or Shibuya. We’ll def book it again when we’re back.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. A quiet and curated haven to return too after the hustle & bustle of central Tokyo. Less than 5 min walk to the subway, two stops from Shibuya, three to Harajuku, four to Shinjuku. Could not have been better for all we planned on the west side of Tokyo.

Easy check in, Nice quiet place with large common area. They asked us to clean and put back all dishes along with taking our own garbage down to sorting room to dispose of it ourselves. This wasn't an issue but seemed unusual as it was the only airbnb out of the 7 we stayed with in Japan that had such rules and we were still paying a cleaning fee.

The house was absolutely spotless! It was easy 10-12mins walking distance from Ikebukuro station. 7/11 and shopping malls nearby. Though the house was tiny, I suppose that's the tokyo standard, but cleverly decorated & organized. easily felt at home.

Host was very responsive, and listing matched descriptions and pictures in the listing. The unit is 3 min walk from train station, which is really convenient. Host explained how to use all appliances. Quick response from host whenever we ask any questions. Would highly recommend this place!!

Great spot to stay while visiting Japan! The area isn't crazy busy and very nice to walk around with great food options everywhere. I walk a lot in general so this place being a 40 minute walk to the Skytree and 45 minute walk to Tokyo Station was a big plus! Even if you're not a walker there are plenty of train stations nearby and uber/taxis available. The host was great and met us for check in to show us how to get in and where everything was located in the room. The room itself was very clean and had everything we needed plus a nice little balcony. If you're coming from out of the country make sure to bring your own amazon fire stick or roku to use on the projector! Overall I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here on my next trip!

Superb stay in Shimokitazawa. We really loved the area (enough going on but not as mental as Shibuya). The apartment was a great base for a few days and the tub was a bonus. Thanks, would stay again ⭐️

we love our stay at Hitomi's place. It was super easy going in the appartement and with all the great recommandations she provided. We stayed in with a years old and a 5 months, it was super convenient. It's really closed to train's station and a lot of shops and restaurant.

The place had everything we needed and the host was very responsive and nice. The only downside was that the place was too small for the luggages to be opened.
