Welcome to Villa Maria, our fairy tale guest house in a calm location next to the forest and with a vast garden in the village Lauterbourg in Northern Alsace, France. It's just 5 min by foot to the heart of the village with a couple of bakeries, restaurants, a grocery store and small shops, or 10 min to the beach & lake. It's only 2 min by car from Germany, and a perfect location for exploring the Rhine border region Karlsruhe-Strasbourg, or for a rest on the way when travelling across Europe.

If you are looking to switch off from a busy life but like the idea of popping out for a coffee, this makes an ideal retreat.

Your flat in our half-timbered house is the ideal starting point for excursions to the Black Forest, Kraichgau or to Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. Our farmhouse is located north of the "Black Forest Nature Park". Nature invites you to cycle, hike and discover: orchards, forests, meadow valleys and high moors, gorges, streams & lakes! And vineyards. But you can also relax in our garden and enjoy local wine or craft beer. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, turtles and sheep (not always on premise).

The Black Forest National Park is only 20 minutes away. In this apartment (bedroom with double bed, living room with double sofa bed, kitchen, dining area, open study, bathroom) you will feel comfortable. The historic building belongs to a former knight's estate, whose beginnings date back to the 17th century. The house has been extensively restored. Located at the highest point of the old town, you will enjoy a great panoramic view. From here you can perfectly undertake trips to the Black Forest, Baden-Baden and Alsace.
