Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rockland County

This home was perfect for my siblings and their kiddos to meet up for a nice long weekend. Kerry made us feel very welcomed and was super responsive when we had questions. The sunroom was one of my favorite places in the house. The kids enjoyed playing both outdoors and indoors. The neighborhood was quiet and the kitchen was stocked. Just a short drive to the mall and plenty of places to eat. We would gladly stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House. The house was beautiful and large enough for my family of 6. We enjoyed the hot tub with views of an icy lake. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and fresh. We went bowling and found great restaurants in nearby by Warwick. We would love to return soon!

Paula and her place are absolute gems. Communicating with her felt like talking to a friend whose place I was going to be staying at, and it felt like that when we arrived as well. I loved the art and thoughtful touches in each room, and our large group felt cozy yet everyone had their own privacy. The space is actually much larger and more beautiful than the photos even convey! The private trails were stunning and magical— I walked barefoot on the carpet-like moss covered forest paths leading to a Stonehenge-esque clearing with giant boulders. The deck and outdoor space is lovely and has stunning views. So peaceful and quiet with some surprise owl and hawk sightings.

This is a beautiful place and exactly what my wife and I needed for a long weekend away! The barn is so cozy and we felt right at home . The hot tub was a nice treat on the cool evenings and the beautiful view. But by far the best part was the animals living below us that we could give snacks to throughout the day and see through the living space windows. Would definitely recommend this to anyone that loves horses and donkeys!

This place was perfect for a city getaway! Me and a couple girl friends went up to the cabin for the weekend and it was so so fun. A beautiful home, and a gorgeous property. Whenever I had questions there was always a very swift response, the grounds keeper is an absolute angel and the kitties running around outside are so fun. Would totally come back!!

We enjoyed a beautiful early spring stay on the farm with a group of 7 ladies, gathering for a chill bachelorette weekend in Cold Springs. The farmhouse was super cozy; great for cooking, crafting, games, tea time, outdoor wine picnics, star gazing at night in the hot tub and making friends with the chickens! A great retreat spot for groups with all the amenities!

We had a lovely weekend at Claudine's. The property is serene. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We also loved having the sauna. We wanted to grill, but propane was not included in the grill and incurred an extra cost or we had to bring our own tank. For the price and nature of the house, including something like this seems fair. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Super clean place with comfortable premium mattress. Location was perfect close to coffee shops and restaurants. We were there for an appearance on a tv show filming at lionsgate studios. Front door of the studio was less than a few hundred feet away!

Peter's place is THE perfect stay for a couple (plus dog) planning a visit to Rockland County. The cottage is extremely clean and incredibly cozy. The surroundings are beautiful, with the property well set back from the road and bordering Harriman State Park. Suffern and its restaurants aren't far and there's easy access to the Palisades Parkway to go anywhere else nearby. I grew up in the county and visit my parents on a regular basis. Any time I can't stay at their home, Peter's place will be my go-to from now on.

Mahmoud's accommodation was more than we could have wished for, it was perfect and had the most incredible views of the Hudson River and surrounding mountains. Mahmoud was very responsive and was able to answer all of our questions and fulfill our requests. We highly recommend his home to anyone else that's interested and we would love to make a trip back sometime in the future!

Stayed for a long weekend with my wife and two dogs. Cottage was comfortable and clean with an amazing view of the lake with a nice patio and access to the dock which we enjoyed. Also great location just a bit over an hour from the city but within a 15 minute drive to many great hikes and close to many great food options. Tony was also very responsive and helpful with recommendarions. Highly recommend.

Linda’s home is absolutely beautiful and unreal! First of all, it was extremely clean with great smelling sheets. Her home had everything you needed from coffee, seasonings, first aid kit, and even marshmallows to roast. My family and I had a bbq as well and Linda had a lot of cookware. We had sooo much space to walk and go on a hike right off the property. There is a little stream of water that connects to the pond which my little 4 year old loved. The horses were a lovely addition and we loved hearing the rooster during the day. We will certainly be returning because a weekend was too short to explore everything. I highly recommend! Annaminh’s place is beautiful. A perfect spot to have a nice break with outstanding views of the Hudson valley and a very beautiful, spacious house. She is very responsive and does everything in her hands to make your vacation as nice as possible. Love it!!.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at AVE. My two grandchildren had a great time as well. It’s rare to find a place that exceeds my expectations. Really. I will definitely be returning to AVE. And I will also recommend AVE Clifton to my friends and family.

We had a great stay and Susan was very kind, professional and responsive when needed. I have appreciated her call prior the check in to clarify few points, I’ve found that very polite and adequate. The House, where you will feel like home from the beginning, is as described and in a beautiful location surrounded by beautiful nature.

Definitely would stay here again! Lovely place on a beautiful lake and nice, peaceful neighborhood. Only thing I have to say is to definitely update the pictures because the upstairs bedroom and dining room don’t look like that anymore but no biggie at all! There’s a lot of things super close to the house. Host was extremely nice and very responsive when I had to message them!

The layout was perfect for hosting our family gatherings, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The kitchen was fully equipped, making meal prep a breeze, and the cozy living areas were ideal for relaxing.. The quiet suburban setting offered a peaceful retreat, while still being close to everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting holiday memories. Highly recommend!
