Vacation rentals in Rockford

Great Airbnb just north of Dixon (10-15 minute drive from anything you could need) I stayed here while working in the area and it was one of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at. Linnea does a fantastic job at answering questions and responding quickly! Every room in the apartment was incredibly clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised.

I recommend it, everything is very nice

We wanted something close to The Standard where we were attending a wedding; this was a quick 5 minute walk! Paul was very responsive to questions and answered the phone when we were having difficulties getting in; his attention to guests was greatly appreciated. There were steep steps when you entered, this may have been in the description and I just missed it - not a problem for us, but may be for others. The apartment itself was very clean and welcoming. There was a noticeable faint smell of smoke - which isn't uncommon for old places and it fades once you've been inside for a bit. We would stay here again in a minute!

Funerals or memorials may not be the typical reason many folks look for an Airbnb place to stay, but I knew from our previous stays that if I was able to find a good one at the right price, it would be far better than almost any local high priced hotel or motel. I was right! Mary's Shedominium is a little off the beaten path on a peaceful farmstead with a few acres and a sunrise view. There are plenty of farm animals and wildlife to see, but if you are not into that, you won't have to shew anything out of the way to get to the front door, or back to your car when you need to leave. We did not get to spend much time there while we dealt with the reasons we traveled there, but if and when we ever get the opportunity to return, we won't have to search to find our preferred place to stay, unless of course, she's all booked up. Excellent communication and location! Very close to the center of town. The doors and keys were a little confusing at first, but we figured it out eventually! Would happily stay here again if we ever come back to the area. Thanks Laura!

I stayed here with another couple. The place is great for two couples to hang out. Very cozy, nice big tv and enough space for not feel cramped with 4 people. Nice patio doors, large bathroom and the mattress in the bedroom was so comfortable. Kate also worked out special accommodations to work with us! The upstairs neighbors are very sweet and accommodating. Would for sure stay again. Thank you Kate!

This off-the-beaten path, yet still convenient, home was perfect for a 4-day stay. Louise welcomed us with a detailed letter including specifics to make our stay more comfortable both within her home and in the surrounding area. She also included personal touches like a lovely almond bundt cake and personal message to welcome us. If back in the Rockford area, will definitely stay here again. A bonus was to meet her two basset hounds, Tess & Stella!

This place absolutely took our breath away! First, I want to say a big thank you to Carolyn. She was so kind and attentive, helping us so much during our stay in Cherry Valley. We were here for my son’s wedding, and there was a lot to do, but Carolyn made everything so much easier! The house is stunning, full of rich history, and beautifully kept. It was so clean and comfortable, making our stay truly special. The piano was such a wonderful bonus. My husband loves to play, and he enjoyed it so much! One thing that really stood out was the clear labeling around the house. It made everything so easy to find, and we truly appreciated that thoughtful touch. Overall, this has been one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in! We will definitely be back to enjoy all the beauty this home and place have to offer!

House was beautiful, had everything we needed to have a thanksgiving meal. Plates, dinner utensils, kitchen appliances and all daily necessities. Will most definitely return in the future.

Jane responded fast to text messages. very kind, offered to tell about restaurants and local entertainment. I had an issue with the door ( operator error ) called Jane and she called me back to see if i was able to fix the issue, which was a simple fix. I will definitely make sure I reserve there again when I go back into town if available.

Great place, excellent hiking and everything you need for a comfotable stay. Jim was available for questions with quick replies and had great information about the trails and history of the area. This is a special area and you can tell there are people who care deeply about maintinaing it. We will definitely return to this area!

The schoolhouse was a wonderful place for us to stay. It’s private, quiet, & couldn’t have been any cuter. The completely fenced-in backyard was perfect for our two new little puppies. Betty was great to deal with and very friendly and responsive. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs!!

There is no better place to stay in dixon than this house . excellent area, back yard, close to the river , parks and all local restaurants. Stayed 2 weeks and will book again .

Nice house in nice neighborhood. We felt at home. The house is bigger than the photos!

Everything was great! Patrice's home was exactly what we were looking for. Our only regret is that it was December and we were not able to use the wonderful outdoor space. Thank you for opening your home to us!
