In the summer walk to the South Fork of the Rio Grande for fly fishing as well as an easy drive to many rivers, lakes and reservoirs. This home was a gem. Tucked in and surrounded by beauty, it was just what my family needed as a “base” for our adventures. It is evident that much care and attention was put into keeping up this property and making it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect place to stay for our family ski getaway. The location was beautiful, quiet and an easy 30 minute drive to Wolf Creek for time on the slopes. The house was super clean, spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were extremely helpful with any questions we had and offered great advice about local favorites for food. We loved our time there!

It's my second time staying at this property. Never disappointed. The location is beautiful and isolated, the house instead of perfectly for gathering of close friends and family, and the scenery and atmosphere of the location are unmatched. Also can't forget, Stan is an amazing host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dakota House. It is thoughtfully layed out and equipped with everything a renter would need. Katy was easy to communicate with! We spent the week skiing and driving around the surrounding areas. South Fork is limited in amenities, but the quick 23 minute drive to Wolf Creek Ski Area was great! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Great location right on the river. Didn’t catch many fish on the river but it is conveniently located a couple miles from the reservoir. Caught lots of fish there. Great neighbor with super friendly dog next door. Felt right at home. She had all the amenities available which is so nice! Loved the pagoda to sit right by the river and read and relax. The town is small and quiet. Not super touristy, which is a huge plus. Lots of mule deer. Have to check out Creede which is very close. Very cool old mining town. Loved the house, loved the town, loved the trip!
