This is a perfect place to go spend time with your loved ones. Away from cities and overall people. The house is cozy and has everything that you need and even more to make the stay memorable! Me and Henry loved being there and would have like to stay even more! Maria Celeste was very helpful to find us lost tourists from the mountains in darkness. And showed us the way to the cabin. Be aware that the road might not be for everyone to drive. But you can always leave the car up the hill and walk to the house. Ww would love to go back soon to the beautiful and adventurous place!

We were warmly greeted by Sara, who was incredibly helpful throughout our three-day stay at the Quinta. The cottage is simple—consisitn g a one-bedroom, two-bathroom unit with a basic kitchen—one of four similar units converted from granite walles outbuildings of a grand Quinta. The property is expansive, offering many lovely spots to relax, whether in the vineyard, under a fig tree, or around the generously sized swimming pool. Despite being in a secluded valley, it's just a short drive to Cabeceiras de Basto, where you'll find charming Praia Fluvials, shops, cafes, and restaurants. We quickly became friends with another group occupying the other three properties, enjoying shared meals and drinks while the children played in the pool. Casa de Sestelo is an amazing, relaxing spot to spend a few days.

Excellent stay for several families with kids. The estate is beautiful and well maintained, the pools are nice to cool off in during a heat wave. The hospitality is perfect. The price in season may be scary at first but the house, the estate and the kindness of the employees justifies it. We'll be happy to go back! Thanks Inès (and Angela)

Fantastic stay in Pedro's home from home, Pedro was very friendly and helpful, and the property was just what we wanted for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and a great location for us to explore the wonderful north of Portugal. Stayed for about 10 days, and enjoyed every minute. Thank you very much to Pedro and his family.

A great place to stay with driving distance of Great Douro wineries, miradouro with an incredible view of the valley. Very clean, large and more beautiful than the photos show. Vitor and Marilia are great hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there..

The most beautiful house on a steep hillside with stunning views and only the sound of nature around. The house was excellently equipped with all you need to self cater and relax including bbq, pool with a view, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom for each bedroom. Extra touches were the wood burner (we didn’t use as nice and warm but looked super cosy), the hanging chair (hit with teens) and early morning bakery service. Host was an excellent communicator, has great suggestions and runs this place like a second home he wants others to enjoy so feels like a true Airbnb vs a corporate capitalist platform. Highly recommend this place and great value when we visited in April.

Wonderful ! Although the stay was short and the weather didn't go with us much , we just have nice things to say about the house , it's not missing a detail , it's all super clean ,the outside and the swimming pool… we'll repeat as soon as we can ! Caty very much for us so everything is 10 !!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage located in the countryside in a relaxing place! José and Aurora were very attentive: tips, fruit and apple juice from the farm, thank you! Supermarket 5 minutes away, rivers for swimming a few minutes away, Amarante and Guimarães 45 minutes away, Porto 1h15.

The view is spectacular, the garden is wonderful and the hosts are charming. All in all, a perfect place to visit the Douro vineyards.

It was a pleasure to unwind a few days in this casita. Even in winter it has a lot of charm to spend a few days in the heat of the fireplace. The kids have enjoyed playing around the estate a lot. In addition, the goat Martinha and the ducks are super friendly. We will miss them:) Thank you Inês for your involvement to make sure everything goes perfect.

Eduardo was an excellent host and his place was beautiful! Checking in was simple and the space was clean. As a host, Eduardo was knowledge about the area and provide excellent resource in multiple languages, as well as responsive to all our questions. We hope to come back again for a much longer stay!

This place ought to be officially recognized as a national treasure! The house and grounds are full of historic charm and the scenery is spectacular. The farm fresh breakfast was truly impressive and the hospitality was top notch. We stayed for two nights but would have been very happy to have stayed for an entire week if our schedule had allowed for it. Many thanks to the owners for creating such a wonderful guest house and for the warm welcome and great sightseeing tips. It was the highlight of our trip from Canada.

There are few words to describe the peacefulness and tranquility of the Douro region in general. however, the time we spent in this lovely, comfortable, and welcoming home magnified our enjoyment of the area multiple times. Anabela was such a wonderful host, even providing us with a loaf of bread on the front porch from the local Baker the morning after we arrived. It was a wonderful home, it felt like we'd lived there our entire lives. I really wish I could say more, but I just can't find the words. To summarize, I would recommend this place to anybody, at any time, but I can't help wishing a little bit that my review wouldn't help attract more renters, because in my selfishness, I'd love for this place to always be available to me. 10 stars.

What a beautiful place! The interior is nicely furnished and equipped with every comfort. Outside it is really beautiful! A big garden with an amazing pool. And Rosario is very helpful and friendly. Absolutely recommended if you like peace and space in an authentic setting.

Casa d'Além has exceeded all expectations! A perfect getaway in the middle of nature, with a cozy and quiet atmosphere. Every detail of the house shows care and affection. Ideal for those seeking peace, comfort and a connection to nature. Without a doubt, I want to come back!

Great apartment for 8 people, with some luxuries such as: American refrigerator, several smart TVs (one of them giant, in the movie theater), salamander with an oven, barbecue, Jacuzzi, etc. Very quiet place, with the river beach of the Beça River 5m by car. The 15m is Maxitem, which, at the level of low prices and variety of products, is not behind any supermarket chain. Mr. João was 5*. Any matter I talked about, I immediately tried to solve. What could not resolve from a distance, asked his mother that, after a few minutes, she was there to deal with what was necessary. We want to repeat the experience soon.

We had a wonderful getaway! Antonio and his family were excellent hosts. Very responsive and helpful.

We booked the place to spend New Year's Eve with friends, and we brought two dogs. The area is beautiful and the reception was wonderful. Cristiana and her family treated us super well, and made a point of putting us at ease, having always been available to help with whatever was needed. The days were cold, but they left us a lot of firewood, which allowed the house to always be warm. On New Year's Eve they left us more wine and a freshly baked cake The house was super clean and had everything that was needed. We really wanted to come back, thanks for everything!

Great stay with my team. We set up our home and office for 15 days in this very welcoming home. The various spaces she offers allowed us to cook, work and have fun together. You'll notice a beautiful fireplace that makes the space very pleasant. The environment is simply very beautiful and relaxing. The old stones, the little cats, the oranges, the bbq, the TV, everything was there to ensure that the stay went smoothly. A word also for Natalia, our host, who was always attentive and with whom contact is super easy and friendly.

The place is amazing! Even though it was raining our whole stay, we did not feel bored, the nature around is so beautiful and it is so quiet. There are horses and goats, and the cutest dogs, so it is perfect place to detox from modern world. The place has everything necessary for a perfect peaceful weekend, I was sleeping so well there. We loved our stay!

Very beautiful environment for quiet family lounging, functional accommodation, incredible views, very pleasant, peaceful and charming little village. We would definitely recommend Quinta do Tapadinho! Very nice hikes to do around, but forget the bike, it's very steep! The baker even comes to your home in the morning;) Perfecto 👍🏽
