Camp Boutique - Black Sand Beach

AllyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
One of the best places we stayed while in Iceland. We were able to walk to the private black sand beach to watch the sunset. So picturesque and beautiful. The yurt was very comfortable. The heated beds were perfect. Even caught a glimpse of the northern lights! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Cottage at Reynisfjara / beach

KimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay at Ragnar’s charming cottage was truly a magical experience. The location is unbeatable - just steps away from the ocean and the iconic Reynisdrangar sea stacks in view. We were delighted to see so many puffins on the cliff edges. Waking up to the sound of the waves and seeing the other-worldly views was unforgettable. The cottage itself was super cozy, clean and well-equipped. What I loved most was being a bit off the main road and having a sense of seclusion and connection to nature. If you’re visiting Southern Iceland and want a unique, scenic and peaceful place to stay, this cottage is a wonderful hidden gem.

A unique two bedroom house with great views

NatashaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If I could give more than 5*, I would! This was a wonderful, beautiful spot. The home is beautifully designed with so many gorgeous touches. The beds were very comfortable (with excellent black out curtains). There is a private beach which felt other worldly with black sand dunes. It is a bit of a drive to anywhere but if you like being remote, then it’s ideal. We felt so at home and would love to return.

Black cabin Skorradalsvatn - The Perfect Getaway

AdrianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Really comfortable cabin in an exceptional location with fantastic view. If you enjoy Scandinavian style comfort and solitude in a scenic lakeside setting then this is the place. Everything was as described, very easy to find with the precise satnav directions from the hosts. The sauna, hot tub and decking chairs overlooking the lake are a real plus. Ivar was a responsive host. Nearest town for shops and restaurants is approx 25 min drive. Be aware that the wooden steps leading down to the cabin from the parking place are quite steep and with no handrail.

Austurey - Lakefront Villa

JuneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. Although we only caught one, it was an experience we won’t forget. Gary/June "Beautiful, relaxing; food & gas nearby. Very accommodating Host. Would stay here again. Myra

Austurey lakefront cottage

This cottage has a wonderful view of the lake. It was very comfortable for four adults and a toddler. We were at peace listening to nature and watching the lake. The host was very communicative and helpful. The location is very close to the Golden Circle's must-see locations. The closest town was an 8-minute drive and had great local restaurants. I highly recommend this stay.

We loved our 2-night stay here and didn't want to leave! The place had everything we needed and we were so pleased with the location, the amenities, the gorgeous view, and the coziness of the space. The shower is small, but I wouldn't hesitate a second to stay here again.

Barn house by the sea

JoshuaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!
