Highly recommend this apartment! Easy drive into the surrounding areas but removed enough to feel relaxing and peaceful. Great short walk down to the water. The apartment was bright and airy and felt so comfy!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lena and Brimir's place. They were exceptional hosts, making check-in a breeze and ensuring everything matched the description perfectly. The welcome file provided all the necessary details, and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. All required amenities were available. I highly recommend their place and would be delighted to stay with them again. All my queries were responded almost immediately.

Absolutely fantastic stay, at Gunnþóra's! She's very helpful and communicative. The apartment was spacious and clean and felt like a home away from home. Beautiful location across from the water and also close to downtown. We had a rental car and also used a taxi service in the evening. Everything about Gunnþóra's place is perfect.

This Airbnb apartment provided a comfortable and spacious stay. Located in a peaceful area of Reykjavik, it offered easy access to the city center. There was a delightful bakery next door, and the lighthouse was just a short walk away. My five-year-old daughter particularly enjoyed the children's room, which was well-stocked with various toys. I would highly recommend this location for your stay in Reykjavik.

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

10/10. Maria and her family were wonderful hosts. From letting my children play with their pets to allowing us flexible check in and out due to our flight times, this listing is an absolute gem. Great water (drinking and bathing), beautiful yard, killer views. We saw the northern lights right from our windows multiple nights. I wish we could have stayed forever!

This was our last stop in Iceland and it did not disappoint. It was one of the most beautiful Air BnB’s I had ever stayed in with luxury at every turn. The soaking hot tub had been prepared for our arrival and sits right on the water. We had wine, soaked and watched the magical sunset over the majestic mountains. The home is equipped with everything you can possibly imagine, including high end kitchen with coffee maker, a stunning shower with robes, washer/dryer and wine in a cooler offered for a fee. The beds were so comfortable, we didn’t want to get up. Although a bit pricier than our other stays, the place was a 5 star villa and well worth the splurge. Highly recommend for the beginning or end of your Iceland adventure. It’s was AMAZING!!!

Siggi was very friendly and helpful for our trip. The car he provided was very useful and reliable. The place was quite, clean, and warm just like home.

Bryndis and her family were wonderful hosts the place was close to some restaurants and the water. It is located in a peaceful section of Reykjavik and a great home base for activities around the capital. It is clean, spacious and the hosts were very responsive.

1) Elin’s house is perfect to stay in because of its artistic deco, fully equipped kitchen, stunning ocean view, easy access to a large lawn in the back, and perfect layout for us, a family of four. 2) It’s also at an excellent location: walking distance for a stroll by the ocean, a bite to eat at local bakery or grocery store. Less than 10 minutes drive to downtown Reykjavik for more restaurant options. And a convenient base for our day trips as well. 3) It’s spotless clean which we greatly appreciated. Our whole family couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Highly recommended. Thank you, Elin!

The environment is very good, the house is very cozy, everything is very complete, the communication with the host is particularly smooth, I will come again next time

The pictures for this house do it no justice - the place is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious with tons of light. Incredibly clean. Heated tile floors which keep the whole house warm. Ólafur is very hospitable. He provides thorough instructions and is super responsive if you have any additional questions. (We learned when using the stove/hot plate that you have to put a pan on it first so it can heat because there needs to be weight present to activate.) Our flights arrived early in the morning and he let us check in early and check out an hour late. We had an amazing time in Iceland and when we return we will be booking this house. The apartment was a perfect base for a week of exploring the West of Iceland. It is located on a beautiful peninsula which was peaceful to walk around in the evenings, whilst being close enough to the centre of Reykjavik to be able to easily explore. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. Thura was a very responsive host, replying quickly to any messages. We would definitely recommend the apartment to others.

Katla's house is spacious, bright, clean and tidy. It is very close to the city center (10 minutes by car), which is very convenient for shopping and eating. There is a gray cat in the house, which is very cute. After 9 days of getting along, we have become good friends and are super happy! I recommend this house!

My family and I loved staying in this lovely apartment! It was warm, cozy, spacious, comfortable, and made us feel like we were staying at a relative's house. We appreciated having so much space to spread out, a well-stocked kitchen to cook, close proximity to the heart of the city (just a 9 min. drive), a quiet neighborhood with necessities nearby, and located a stone's throw from the ocean! Another bonus was being able to do laundry. Some of the highlights from our three nights included seeing the Northern Lights from the Grótta Lighthouse, which was just a 5 minute drive from the apartment and getting fresh cinnamon buns from Brauð & Co. which was about 1 minute away by car. If we return to Iceland anytime soon, we would book this place again in a heartbeat!!

This was such a great place to stay!! Convenient to the airport and blue lagoon. Had a great view and setting. It was clean, private, and easy to find. The host invited us to see his sheep which was so fun!! We could see the northern lights through the skylights when we went to bed!! Would definitely recommend!

For a family of 4 it was a perfect spot for a few days. We also loved the local swimming pool.

Eva is very friendly and responsive to our emails. She let us check-in early as our flight was early in the noon. It was a great help. The place is clean and the location is great. The house has extra mattresses to accommodate additional guests, just in case, which is nice.

We loved our stay in Addis’s lovely home. It was really comfortable, light and had everything we needed, we felt right at home. Asdis is a great host and was very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

Unnur is an awesome host! Her communication, responsiveness, and flexibility were top notch. Her apartment was clean and tidy overall and the kitchen was particularly well-appointed. It would be a great place for someone who wants to cook their own meals because there’s a huge grocery store a block away. The apartment was a bit further away from the city center than I expected (it may be 15 mins to the main street, but it takes another 15-30 mins to get to places like Harpa, making it a bit of a slog in rainy and often windy conditions). That said, the walk along the harbor is beautiful and it felt safe, even at night.

The owner is responsive, warm, welcoming and proactive. Spacious, clean, well decorated and easy to access apartment. We highly recommend this listing.

Perfect location to have some quiet after a long day of exploring. Fully equipped with everything you need. Stayed for a week and felt right at home. Supermarket right down the street. Not necessarily walkable into the city center but within a 5-10 min drive. Would definitely stay again!

Terrific place to stay with our young family. The apartment is very nicely appointed and was very clean. Elín and her family cleared out plenty of space in the bedroom closets for us to store our things. The kitchen was well equipped and the large dining room table allowed us to enjoy meals together. We loved the location. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with a playground nearby where the kids got to play with local kids. A food market, Hagkaup; a coffee shop, Arna ís og kaffi; a surprisingly good Italian restaurant, Ráðagerði; a community swimming pool; and a wildlife sanctuary teeming with birds are all close by. While it might appear to be far away from points in Reykjavík, getting to various points in Reykjavík was easy and quick (10 - 15 minutes). All of these factors made for a delightful stay. My family and I would want to stay here again the next time we visit Reykjavík.
