Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Reykholt

We loved our stay at this house! Spent two nights in Reykjavik and this was a great spot to walk to everything. Neighborhood felt safe, we let our teens walk home at night by themselves. House was adorable, everything as described and very comfortable. Loved the character and charm of an older home! Bjorn was responsive and I would stay here again. Thanks!

Nice spot in a beautiful area, the area let us explore the snaefellsnes peninsula with ease and was a good spot to enjoy the an evening after adventuring. The house was warm and comfortable and provided a great view of the crater and surrounding lava fields and mountains.

My family and I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The location was perfect—close enough to downtown, but still in a quiet, peaceful area. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed to feel comfortable. We also loved the thoughtful touches throughout the house, from cozy blankets to the coffee pots. This place made our trip even more memorable.

The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

We had two unfortunate last minute cancellations from other host so didn’t find their place until the day before our stay. It was nicer than either and wish we would have just booked with them first. So, thankful to them for making our last few days in Iceland a perfect end to our trip!

We had an excellent stay at The Mountain Villa in early February. Hafþór and Björn were gracious hosts, responding to queries quickly and providing clear instructions to find and access the place. The villa itself was as charming and idillic as we had expected, everything was perfectly clean and tidy on arrival and the facilities were fantastic; we particularly enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge after long days exploring. Flúðir was a quiet little village but perfect for what we wanted, with enough options to eat and drink for the short time we were there, and easily walkable from the villa. The hospitality at Restaurant Minilik was particularly excellent, and the Secret Lagoon is definitely worth a visit too! The Mountain Villa was a perfect hub to explore the region, with lots of sights and walks within a 30 minute drive, and a good place to travel further into the South from. Overall, a perfect stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Hafþór and Björn!

Berglind responded very quickly and provided all the information we needed! The house was very clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Soaking in the hot tub at night was truly relaxing! The host warmly took us to see the horses, which were very friendly. Thank you to the host for giving us a wonderful night in Iceland!

It has been a great place to stay. We felt very comfortable right away. Everything was as described, only more beautiful. The location of the apartment was great and you can make many excursions from there. Everything was very clean, the beds were great and the pool outside was a dream. Communication with the host was very straightforward. It was great that we were taken from an agreed meeting point to the apartment, as it is not easy to find. In the evening, we were able to see great northern lights due to the location. We would go back to this beautiful house in a heartbeat! Thank you!

This was a really beautiful place to stay, we loved it. House was spotless and so well equipped and warm. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Location was amazing and the views are incredible. The high snow fall did make getting out of the driveway difficult, but that was part of the adventure.

We had a wonderful time in this cabin with a stunning view! It was just as described in the listing, and we really enjoyed the wood stove and hot tub. It is quiet and very private, and even cozier than the photos make it seem. Well situated for visiting the golden circle and the Snæfellsnes peninsula, and Andrea’s guide to the peninsula was very helpful. Perfect home base for us and our young child.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed here for a week in April, 2025. We found the log cabin the perfect home base for our trip. We loved starting our day with coffee on the deck, admiring the views and birdwatching and ending it on the deck in the hot tub with the Aurora Borealis overhead. Downtown Selfoss is about 25 mins away and there are two grocery stores and a bunch of restaurants. Check out the food hall. It’s an adorable city!

A beautiful little cabin in a gorgeous area with stunning views. I used this as my home base from which to explore the Golden Circle. The cabin was clean and tidy, the kitchen had all the basics, and there were some lovely touches including chocolate bars, some seltzer, a full carton of milk and cereal. And the heated towel rack was an incredible luxury that I used every day! Sylvia was not there and did not respond to my message telling her what time I would arrive, but her very nice and helpful husband Gylfi greeted me when I arrived and gave me a tour. He also came out to say goodbye when I left and we had a nice chat. I would like to have used the hot tub but it wasn't especially clean. I ended up at the nearby hot pot Secret Lagoon anyway, which was great, so it was not a big loss.

Sandra was a wonderful host! She was very responsive and always available to answer any questions we had. Her place was very clean and cozy. The views were excellent with a nice, private space. We would absolutely stay here again without any hesitation!

We had a lovely stay and appreciated the proximity to the southern coast sights. The host was very responsive and flexible about our check-in. We previously stayed in the cabin before the new addition, and the new wing of the cabin and the hot tub and deck are wonderful. Comfortable beds, multiple bathrooms, and the perfect amount of space for our family of four to spread out after a day of exploring! A great home base for the south coast!

We had a great time at the cabin! Actually, one of the highlights was our host Ylfa, who was always very helpful, provided a lot of very detailed information up front and reacted very quickly to all remaining questions we had - the communication was really a pleasure to us and on a level I have not experienced on Airbnb before. About the cabin: Our kids (3 and 6 years old) very much liked what they referred to as "the play cave", which is the upstairs sleeping loft. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary things needed, far exceeding what would be minimal kitchen setup. Another highlight to us was the hot tub, which we used almost every day (despite wind and a bit of rain outside). The open view towards the west is very suitable to search for Northern Lights in the dark or just watch the stars. We mainly used the cabin as our homebase to different day tours around in western Iceland. In total, we really had a great time!
