Really enjoyed our stay. We had the place to ourselves. Great communication throughout. We wanted to stay in the middle of nowhere, so this was ideal. No northern lights last night, but what a wonderful experience. It’s a bit like a youth hostel, so if you want fancy luxury, this wouldn’t be the place. If you want to drive 20 mins to the end of a fjord and enjoy some splendid isolation - you’ll love it.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse Nyp. We were met by welcoming faces and a very stylish interior, which felt like stepping into narnia after driving in the wet and dark for hours at the end of a long day. Our host Hubert instantly made us feel right at home with his kind and warm welcome, looking after us for the duration of our stay – it wouldn't have been the same without him. The surroundings were beautiful and we made sure to take our time in the morning to walk into the mountains and down to the beach before heading on our way. A wonderful experience, thank you.

Were stayed in Iceland for almost 3 weeks. This was our favorite place by far. Felt right at home, the farmhouse was well suited for our group, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the spectacular views and surroundings, walks, & saw my first Northern Lights here, it was magical. Also had fun playing ping pong in the barn. A great location for exploring the Westfjords.

Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in! Everything is absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful and full of history. We are isolated, alone in the middle of nature in a relaxing setting. The house is extremely clean, the beds are comfortable. The host is very friendly, the check-in tools are very easy and well indicated. There is absolutely no fault, we had a great time. Thank you so much to the host. A thought for our friend the dog. I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful house in the country with amazing views. Hosts were very responsive and answer questions that we had before we arrived. House is very clean and the only neighbors were sheep lots to do in the area, including some amazing trails to run on. Thanks for such a great stay

The space had everything we needed and more. The hot chocolate, cereal, and cookies were a lovely bonus. There was a welcoming living room, and the bedroom had a very comfortable large bed. It was perfect!

Very Cosy private home, it was great meeting Eydis' dad, who supported us with some great recommendations! The house was a perfect stopover on our way to Isafjördur. As there is no infrastructure (restaurants, shops etc), you need to bring some food for dinners and breakfast. Kitchen and bath might be shared by other travelers, e.g. we enjoyed meeting a family from Italy. We enjoyed the very quiet nights in this beautiful scenerie!

We had a nice couple's trip to Hólmavík. This is a really nice place to stay, especially off-season when there are not many travelers. There were only other guests at the place the first night we were there and we noticed the walls are quite thin. But then they left and we had the whole place to ourselves the rest of the time. The common area is really nice and the house has a lot of authentic character. The staff responded fast when we needed them.

Brekka is very secluded and is only accessible via a gravel road in poor condition. Despite our arrival with a small Hyundai, we arrived well at the house. However, we recommend arriving before dark. The house itself was, as described, old but very cozy, with lots of loving touches to discover. I especially recommend taking a look at the attic and swinging a round there! ;) We always got quick and detailed answers to our questions about the reservation. Another couple was rented during our stay. They were very friendly, and we hardly noticed anything of them. All in all, we enjoyed the place very much!
