First of all, let me inform about the impressive location of Nirmala Sadan, located at prime area just infront of Shimla highway where buses ply continuosly through to prominent cities including Delhi. The lush green view of mountains from balcony and setting of the sun behind is a daily treat to eyes. Karuna Ma'am is very caring and helpful, me being new to Solan, she extended all supports and comforts that made me feel like a family. Aur sabse badi aur important baat, swadisht ghar ka khana and that too, can be customized. This homestay really made me feel like a home. Its a must visit when you are in Solan. Cottage 5 is a great stay if you would like to spend sometime with yourself . Jasmeet is a great host who has taken care of every travellers needs . She has attention to the details and makes sure that the stay is comfortable and memorable . The view from my room was quite breadth taking . Situated outskirts of the Solan city centre brings out the true character of the place . The "Babe di full kripa " dhaba is a fantastic place to dig into the local cuisine . A walk to Barog ( approx 5.5km) is a great way to unwind and listen to yourself . I spent most of my time walking around the place and discovering the beautiful foothills of the Himalayas . So whether you are solo traveller or in a group this place will offer you experiences and memories of a lifetime. cheers / aDi

Arvina home stay, hosted by Arvina stands out firstly for its host, Arvina. Without her, this place wouldn't be what it is. She is a gracious host with great local recommendations, a delightful cook and a good conversationalist. The place is really clean and well set up. It's walkable from the Chakrata market and therefore close to most everything. Getting luggage up is a little hard with the Chakrata streets and the steps. That would be my only concern. otherwise the place is amazing. I wouldn't mind visiting again.

Roohi is a great host and so far my best host with my couple of experiences with Airbnb. The property is on the road and very close to mall road and we were on our own in the entire villa. It felt like at home, at once and the house helps are extremely polite, sincere, honest and hard working. The place has got a functional kitchen which is good enough to take care of needs like chai, maggie and more if you need/ feel like. Best thing is restaurants, sweet shop and the entire market in front of the house, where each and every need of yours is taken care of. Parking is little tricky, but you will get adjusted to it after a couple of tries. View is great, you enjoy your sun and morning cup of tea with your loved ones. For night, you can enjoy cold, clear, night sky full of stars and peaceful surrounding. Sounds little noisy, specially as it is close to highway, but that connects you well with everywhere you want to go. Best was Karol Tibba trek which was helped by Roohi. Thank you !!

I have been to a lot of Airbnbs & this was easily one of the most unusual ones. Reading the reviews I got to know there is some history associated with the place. Apparently,someone from a royal Nepal family relocated here way back in 1931 & spent the rest of his years at this place until his death in 1993. Our room didn't capture much of this history though,except for a booklet written in 1942. However,the dining room was full of stuff from the 20th century. We found a well maintained visitor book there. The place has been having visitors since over 60 years! Located in a village in Katapathar & about 400 m from Yamuna river,the property is an interesting relic of the past. It's great for someone looking to spend time away from the city. Though both of us felt that TV/free wi-fi can be provided. The caretakers were great & the food was fabulous. We had a good time at the place.

Dinesh is a great host. His place is a premium hostel/boarding house that is a great pick for individuals. The caretaker, Govind, is a great cook and is available at all times. There's a cafe located next to this place which is quaint, pocket-friendly, and run by a very nice lady who can bake a treat. Highly recommended for people looking for a cost-effective accommodation in a peaceful and green location.

The place is exuded rustic charm and offered a cozy retreat from city life. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, clean, and elegantly furnished. We enjoyed the fresh homemade meals prepared with ingredients from the property. The surrounding countryside was breathtaking, perfect for relaxing walks. It was a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. Highly recommend for a serene getaway!
