Vacation rentals with a kayak in Renfrew County

This was one of the best cottages / Lake house we have ever stayed at. Very large. Clean and modern. The host left us small Christmas / new year gifts for the children. Great special touch. Very responsive and accommodating and inviting. Very high end and well stocked kitchen. Great for our large group. We had no issues of any kind. We had a great few days and will definitely be back at some point soon.

Shirley's place is cozy yet spacious with a well equipped kitchen. It was the perfect place to spend during the Christmas holidays thanks to lots of Christmas decorations and a hot wood stove. Beds and sofas are comfy. Highly recommended.

We had such a wonderful time at this cottage! The setting is peaceful and private. The large deck supplied with paddle board/kayaks, the dock, and the fire pit were highlights. We had lots of fun swimming and paddling around the lake, which was clear and quiet. The cottage is more on the rustic side, but is as shown in the photos. Would absolutely love to stay here again!! The hosts provided very clear instructions on check-in and check-out, and were quick to respond to messages.

Kelly’s place is well worth every penny. Beautiful river and huge property with a great fire pit and multiple paddle boats. Also well equipped inside with everything you need and very well kept. Felt right at home. Would definitely recommend!

This home was perfect for our girls getaway! We had a great time in Lisa's home. Everything we needed was there. It's a quiet area, very peaceful and lots to do. The decor is perfect, it's a comfortable home and in a great location. Would highly recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay at Jen’s beautiful Airbnb in Calabogie! From the moment we booked, Jen was extremely communicative and proactive—she provided clear instructions and helpful tips that made our entire trip smooth and enjoyable. The home itself is stunning, with a huge backyard that opens up to a serene lake and breathtaking views. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The property is also incredibly pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. Our two Shiba Inus had the time of their lives running freely in the open space—watching them enjoy the outdoors so much made our stay even more special. This was truly a memorable experience for both us and our pups. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Jen’s place to anyone looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly escape surrounded by natural beauty.

My family and I spent Christmas at Michelle’s lovely cottage and we had a great time! The cottage itself is very nice and cozy; in person, it looks even better than in pictures. It had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub is a must as it has an amazing view of the lake; and we also enjoyed a little walk around with snowshoes available at the cottage. The host, Michelle, was very kind and responsive. She had the cottage decorated for Christmas, which was perfect for our gathering and created a very cozy atmosphere. We will definitely consider going back during summer as the place has many in-the-house amenities and private access to the lake. Thank you, Michelle, for hosting us!

This was our first stay at the Madawaskan and we're already planning our return! The place was even better than it looks in the pictures and we were blown away when we first walked in. It smelled like a cedar cabin and was impeccably clean. The open concept living room, dinning room and kitchen was the perfect set up for our family of 6 and offered plenty of seating for everyone. We also loved the fact that there is no tv on the main floor I thought we'd miss it, but it was the opposite. The kids even commented that they were happy it was in the basement - and we didn't even turn it on in 3 days. That's kind of a big deal when you have kids and teens. 😂 The house was fully stocked with everything you'll need! All of the things like linens, towels, dishes and cookware were of good quality and clean. I'd even forgot to pack my blow dry and low and behold, there was one the bathroom! The hosts made sure you want for not and are completely equipped!

Lovely clean and private place. Well equipped kitchen had everything we needed. Comfortable bedrooms and nice layout with space for group meals or quiet relaxing. Beautiful and private lakeshore. Very clear instructions and helpful tips.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Matt's place on Lake Clear. The cottage was very clean and had enough room for us to spread out. We loved spending time down by the bunk house over looking the water. The cottage was well appointed and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

The cottage was an ideal fall retreat. With plenty of firewood provided, we stayed cozy through chilly nights, and the clean barbecue made outdoor meals easy. The lake was calm and beautiful, and we enjoyed peaceful moments on the water with the host’s canoe and kayak. Nearby trails led to excellent lookout points with fantastic views. The night sky was incredibly clear, it felt like we could see the entire galaxy. Christine's parents were also very helpful during our stay, adding a welcoming touch to the experience. This place offered a perfect blend of comfort and nature.

Jackie’s cottage is an amazing and authentic way to enjoy the Canadian countryside. We felt very at home. Jackie was super responsive in case we had any questions. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Would recommend to all.

Had a lovely lovely time at the cottage with my family. My mom said she felt right at home with all the amenities & kitchen supplies inside & my dad enjoyed the fresh air & row boat. My partner loved the kayak & fishing opportunities! It was the perfect cozy nature getaway that satisfied different interests among a picturesque view. We even saw the northern lights. My wife and I enjoyed another wonderful weekend and this perfect cozy cottage. All aspects of this property are top notch from the location to the construction. Every detail has been thoughtfully addressed to create a comfortable home away from home. Chris and David are the ultimate hosts and always go above and beyond to ensure that we have the best vacation possible. Somehow they were even able to provide beautiful warm sunny weather for our weekend. :)

This was my second time visiting Andrew’s place in the fall. It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. The cottage itself is clean & cozy. All necessary amenities are included. Will be back again!

A cozy, secluded, minimalist cabin/pod perched on the edge of a vibrant wetlands, the Wood Duck had everything I was looking for and more, combining the feeling of wild camping with the comforts of a solid, heated structure with a barbecue, mini-fridge, microwave, and all sorts of wonderful added features, from a solar shower to a smart TV (!) to canoe and kayak access. It's rare to find a place on airbnb that gives such genuine value for such a fair price, and that actually delivers the privacy it promises, and the more one explores what Zac and Steph have to offer through Deacon Escarpment Cabins, Camping and Trails, the more one comes to appreciate how lovingly and respectfully they've set things up for people to really immerse themselves in nature, and have a wonderful time doing it. As a bonus, communication was warm, simple and straightforward, and I was so appreciative of the ease and flexibility of checking in and out. Would love to return - thanks again, Zac and Steph!

We stayed at cabin #1 during October 11-13 weekend. We loved this place. Very clean, cute cabin, worth the price. Amy was very quick to respond. There are kayaks, canoes to use, firepit, bbq grill. We had awesome experience. I am looking forward to book it again. I highly recommend this place for with kids trip. There is beautiful playground by the beach.

Location was perfect for a weekend away! Cottage was stunning, extremely clean and organized the pictures don’t do it justice. The linens, beds, furniture, hottub, sauna, everything was well kept. The kitchen was fully stocked of every appliance and kitten tool we may need during our stay. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this Airbnb. We had the most relaxing weekend ever!

I had a great time staying here and have already looked at when I can come back. It was beautiful and so peaceful. The view was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The bed was super comfortable as well. The door was a little difficult to get into the first time but he gave instructions on how to get in another way. Loved the little touches like leaving a treat for my dog and also having extra dog toys.

We visited in mid-October, and the foliage was amazing. The lake is indeed pristine. Very comfortable cabin; one 29 degree F night challenged the woodstove in the main room, but the bedroom was super cozy. Very near Algonquin PP so there is lots to do. Joanne and Lars were very responsive to questions.
