My tear welled up in my eyes after the last hug with lynaire. She is super proactive host and alway gives support when you need. The room is well equip, big fridge with full space in the laundry room which is perfect for my long term stay. Woolworth is 3 mins walk which can be also go into the mall then through the town easily. Kmart is next to woolworth as well as Pakn sav. It is also 15 mins walk to public library, where the place is nearby nice restaurants. Me and my son love staying this house very much. We shared a good time for dinner when she is available. This is more than an airbnb host ! Thank you again Lynaire. Me and my son love you and hope we could back there again next year. ❤️

We stayed here only for one night en route to Wellington. Jacquie has done a lovely job of creating a thoughtful, artistic and practical space. They welcomes guests with warmth and many treats! We were able to prepare a simple meal - there are no shops nearby so come prepared. Very relaxing and well recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Fantail over the weekend. Anthony and Frances are great hosts. They made arrangements for late check in and also made it easier to get in by leaving the lights on. Very thoughtful and considerate. This was our second stay and we are taking more memories than before. It is commendable to see the unit being so well kept over the last 3 years. Highly recommended! Rustic style cottage home with plenty of bedding to keep warm. A kitchen that offers simple cooking including warm toast from the fresh baked bread we received at check in. For international travelers, it was nice having a USB plug instead of needing the converter. Fresh ground coffee in the morning. Great for a one night stay or if you plan to spend most of your time outdoors.

Very accommodating after very late booking following long day at Whanganui hospital and unexpected overnight. Cool little place with loads of history and a great bookshelf I wish I had more time to explore! Very handy to hospital if you find yourself in similar predicament to us.

We felt so fortunate to spend a night in this peaceful property. Alka was really friendly and accommodating for our stay and even provided some snacks and food (fruits, yogurts, teas, coffee, milk, bread, jam, cereals and peanut butter). The property has a microwave and a kettle and toaster too, making it ideal to prepare some meals and snacks. Our favourite part was the path at the end of the garden leading to the beautiful Virginia Lake where we enjoyed taking a picnic for our dinner. So many birds to see and hear here. The property is just a short drive to the centre of Whanganui where there are great shops, cafes and several supermarkets and gyms too. We couldn't have asked for a better stay - we would have stayed for longer if we could! Thank you for making our stay in Whanganui so special.

Bishad’s cute little cosy airbnb unit was such a wonderful place. We really enjoyed our stay. The property is accessible to all restaurants and nearby cafes, supermarkets and tourist attractions. Walkable and close distance to main Palmy cbd area. Would definitely come back and stay at their place when traveling to Palmerston North.

This is a really nice airbnb! Not only are Mandy and Steven very kind people and easy to get along with, the airbnb is tastefully decorated, comfortable, clean and perfectly situated for either visiting Wanganui or going into the Wanganui National Park. A bonus is their exotic garden that attracts all kinds of birds. We definitely recommend this airbnb!

Jenny was a great host! She kept in contact and made sure I had all the details I needed, including where to park my trailer. The home is very nice was particularly nice in the evening as the sun went down, given the outdoor area and lots of windows. It was cosy and certainly private enough, very homely.
