Family-friendly vacation rentals in Randsfjorden

We enjoyed our brief stay at Kristian’s apartment. It was a bit tricky to find the apartment and it’s up five sets of stairs (we left luggage in the car!) but we appreciated the thorough instructions Kristian gave us when he greeted us upon arrival (we weren’t used to meeting the host - that’s not really done in the US). Amenities were nice and we’d definitely stay again!

the cabin is in the middle of the forest and very calm and quiet, it was incredibly cozy inside as the outside, we did not take the time and try out the stomp since it takes so long and fill up and get it warm, this is an amazing family cottage

Marthe 's place was lovely. We stayed there for one week and we had a great time. Grocery stores and restaurants just one minute walk away. The subway station was also one minute away and the Central S station was about 5 minutes away. The bus stop to Bygdoy (museums) was about 2 minutes away. The neighborhood was very lively in the evenings with many people outside. We felt completely safe. The apartment itself was large and clean with funky art decorations, perfect for a family with enough space for everyone. The wifi was very fast. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and enjoying the rooftop views. Marthe was very kind and communication was fast. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Thanks Marthe for everything.

We had a lovely time at Christoffer’s place, the apartment is well furnished and communication worked really well. The location is also nice and the neighborhood has lots to do and it’s easy to reach by public transport. We’d stay here again!

From the start, we were very well received. Tomasz was ready to greet us when we arrived, so we were in really safe hands. He just reviewed the amenities with us and everything was really nice! We had an absolutely perfect stay at Tomasz's place and our trip couldn't have been better! We will definitely be back!

Annebeth, Martijn and their daughter were excellent hosts. The place was idyllic and was exactly how it was described. The hike to the lake from the cabin was also pretty great and we enjoyed it a lot! It was nice and peaceful. It felt great to disconnect from everything for a couple of days. Our 3 year old daughter had a great time interacting with their dog and chickens as well :) Highly recommend their place for your next getaway!

Very lovely stay, hope to come back one day ! The house is really magical and everything was as clean and functional. The water has a bit of a taste, like some other guests noted, so we brought a few bottles with us just for drinking and it was no problem. Bente left us some delicious home-made biscuits for our arrival. It was easy to access and park. It snowed a lot, but everything was regularly plowed. Thank you for everything !

We had a great time in the super equipped and large apartment in Oslo! The apartment is in a quiet area right next to a small park and is also not far from the city center. The communication with Anne was great: concerns on our site were responded to within a very short time! Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to have a nice and relaxing time in Oslo.

The second time we rent the cottage. We hope to come back again!

We had a wonderful time during our stay end of December. The house was cosy and we felt at home from the beginning. The location was nice with possibilities for skiing and hiking around. Also the facilities in the house were great, especially the fireplace.

Super homey cabin and the space around, here we would love to come again! However, we missed some sheltered view in the bathroom and the opportunity to have it darker in the bedrooms. Or all in all tip top ✨

Our family had a wonderful time at this magnificent home. This is a special property, cared for with such loving detail by the owners. It has everything you need for a perfect lakeside holiday in the beautiful Swedish countryside. The views of the lake and sunset painted sky are surreal and peaceful. There are many things for guests to use, boats, kayaks, bikes, and games, stocked kitchen and BBQ! Tor has even created a walking path through the forest for guests to easily navigate right in their own backyard! The house is full of great spaces, many bedrooms/bathrooms plus common areas for relaxing in the surroundings of a majestic, pristine historical home. We feel very fortunate that they open their home to guests, it truly is a treasure. As host, Ellen was so accommodating and gracious and her attention to detail and availability to make her guests feel welcome and relaxed was evident and appreciated by us. We highly recommend this unique house by the lake and hope to return again!

We had a lovely weekend at Annikka's place! A very charming house, in a super location. Big plus it is right by a nice forest where we even found chanterelle that we had for lunch. Our 5 year old daughter also got a very cozy horseback ride around on the farm. Recommended!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was cozy and warm, even in the winter. Thove was a caring host, always quick to respond and offer helpful suggestions for things to do. We would recommend it for a getaway.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is stunning, had everything we could need and the hosts were lovely. They helped with local recommendations as well as making sure we had all the information we needed for the house. Not to mention the gift of some mixture for us to make traditional waffles! The train station is just a few minutes' walk. The kids particularly loved the pool and table tennis table, and I really enjoyed the beautiful walks that are possible from the property. All in all a five star stay.

We had a very pleasant stay with two adults and two children. Awesome house, clean and welcoming, all amenities. The location was quiet and peaceful and very lovely with a pool in the heat :) Pia responded quickly and was very service minded. We would love to come back :)

A great villa with many accommodation options. Especially great: the two huge Lego boxes 😍 It took some getting used to that the two bathrooms have separate entrances, but are only separated from each other by a shower curtain. However, this was also described in the property description. Oyvind was also helpful in finding a ski school or recommending restaurants! All in all a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Beautiful apartment with fantastic view overlooking the harbour area. Easy walk to Opera House, and then into town. Great communication from hosts and flexibility with check-in when our flight was cancelled. Thanks for a great stay!

Great, modern cabin and annex. Had a pleasant stay with the extended family of 13 from 5-80 years. Great facilities, great bathrooms and lovely outdoor areas close to ski slopes. Recommended!

Great Apartment in an awesome and stylish neighborhood right by the water, lots of restaurants and close by Munch, national theatre, the train station and the city. We were a large family group gathering for our first time in Oslo. The island location is gorgeous and the house is both beautiful and well suited to a family group. Catherine was proactive in getting our groceries delivered so we were comfortable despite no stores on the island. We also had free use of their boat which allowed us to arrange our schedule as we liked. Pacing with our large family group meant accounting for two shuttle trips to get all of us across to the mainland. The 31 bus line was close and frequent for getting us into Oslo. We bought a week pass but no one ever seemed to check the bus ticket. The house itself was well equipped with everything kitchen, fireplace and gorgeous outdoor space. It was a little cool and rainy for the pool but the hanging outdoor bed was a favorite spot to hang out.
