Sunshine Coast Studio Suite Overlooking the Water

Relax + unwind in our cozy guest suite w an amazing view of the water. You won't find another rental on the coast like ours. There're walking trails just outside our door & it's a 5 min drive (45 min walk) to a great trail walk at Smuggler's Cove. We have a SMALL KITCHENETTE and NO STOVE more details about the kitchen below. The dock is completely off limits & not part of the rental. If you are caught using it on camera you will be asked to leave the rental immediately. No smoking at all.

Spacious 2 bedroom ground level suite is in my home. It provides everything you need to enjoy your time while exploring Powell River. Own private entrance and driveway, patio with barbecue, internet, TV, Roku. Fully equipped kitchen. Pets are welcome. It is considered rural-12 km to town, 3km to the golf course (towards town) and 4 km south to a beach. The neighborhood is quiet which makes it conducive to a good night's sleep. We have nothing but 5 star reviews for this place. We stayed here from Nov 1 - Feb 1, 2025. Shelley was very good and responsive in answering all our questions leading up to our arrival. She had the unit unlocked for easy of entry. The unit is private and shielded for any bad weather. (winter months). The picture represent this suite perfectly. We had everything we needed for our 3 mth stay. This suite was spotless and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. Kitchen cookware was great and we had everything we needed. We were within driving distance to so many beautiful trails and close to both Comox/Courtney/Campbell River. We ventured out to as many trails as we could and have so many picture to remind us why we would love to return. Chris and Shelley were great as hosts and we will miss them. We will miss our time at their place and hope to return. You will not be disappointed in any way if you rent this place for your stay. Thanks Melissa and Arnold

Met up Julie when we got there. She walked us to the entrance and proceeded to cover most everything we needed to know for our stay. It’s a bit out of town, so not easily walkable. But very quiet. The inside is very nice, and there are three decks. We were visiting family and didn’t have a lot of time to spend there. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Julie and Ivo for making our time in Powell River so comfortable.

Pros: Hung was very communicative and check in was super smooth. Beautiful setting; the hot tub overlooking the ocean was definitely our favourite part! The suite was extremely clean and tidy and some nice additions (some snacks and drinks were provided, bathrobe and slippers for hot tub provided). Cons: not a lot in the area and while there are 2 food options literally right next door, we found they were subpar and better options were 20 mins away in Qualicum Beach. I found the suite to be a bit sterile and not very cozy, but to be fair, it was exactly as shown in the photos.

My son and I had a lovely stay at the Touch the Earth Guest House. Judith was a wonderful host and even left us fresh eggs from her hen and greeted us with figs from her tree. The farm is alive with a variety of animals for kids to interact with - and we were lucky enough to get to play with new kittens as an added bonus! The suite is cute and cozy and had everything we needed. A 2-3 min drive from beautiful Tribune Bay as well as shopping and cafés. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The location is beautiful, very close to a beach but tucked inside a small forest. Hosts made parking available and easy, and were incredibly kind and helpful. Anything we needed, they responded very quickly to. A very sweet couple who made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. The dogs and chickens were very cute and fun to interact with. Brenda, who greeted us and took care of us for the weekend, was so kind, patient and understanding! A wonderful stay, will be back!

We pretty much lost our confidence in Airbnb before this visit and had been mostly using hotels for our travels in the last couple of years. Lack of options in Sunshine coast led us to Lily's suite, but what a great surprise. The suite is very clean and Lily was very responsive, also keen to help. The suite is the basement suite of a single house but you will not notice the presence of the host. The suite has no fancy amenities (like a hot tub :)), but is equipped with more than enough to make our 3-night stay comfortable. The kitchen was clean and well provided (free bottled water and snacks too). Bath and bedrooms are very clean too. The location is a bit of far from "downtown" but only a few minutes drive. Note that the "downtown" is dead at 8PM regardless so there's really no benefit of being close to the noisy highway traffic. Plus side is that it is super quiet. I think we saw more deer than people in the neighbourhood. I think the only "thing to improve" is the WiFi signal.
