This place looked just like the photos !! Totally recommend this place !! With the spectacular view to wake up to every morning peaceful and relaxing setting surrounded by bush. House was ammaculate and beds were very comfy. House was beautifully furnished ! My kids thoroughly enjoyed chilling in the pool. Had everything we wanted and more for our 3 night stay. If looking for somewhere to dine out in town definitely recommend Bad Habits !!! The food was amazing music vibe and atmosphere was a 10/10 from us !!! Thanks again John for having me and my family stay would love to come back again if in the area in the future

What a great place to stay in the Bay of Islands. The views are spectacular not matter what the weather and the apartment is very spacious and comfortable. We had no problem with parking a SUV even with someone staying downstairs. We even heard kiwis most evenings and even saw one at dusk. Russell itself is very quaint and recommend taking the boat out to Urupukapuka Island for great walking and more spectacular views. I would highly recommend this place if you love water views, the sound of waves crashing, kiwis calling and the odd tui in the tree. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we come back to this area.

Te whare is an awesome place to stay. It has plenty of space for the entire family and also a good sized front yard for the kids to play. It is walking distance from the local takeout, cafe and shop. You could also walk to the beach from the location. The hosts were awesome and very responsive, they went out of their way to cater for us and our stay. Will definitely return again and highly recommend te whare!
