With its Spanish/Filipino/Dutch colonial architecture I can’t help but ruminate the time back in the 17th century when galleon ships can still enter what was then a salty Taal Lake. The place offers a panoramic view of Taal Volcano and the Tagaytay ridge, truly a magical, mystical, and charming place. I would recommend to get a copy and read ‘The Mysteries of Taal: A Philippine Volcano and Lake, Her Sea Life and Lost Towns by Thomas Hargrove’ while lounging in the garden of this farmhouse.

We went to Lemery without expectations, but upon arriving at Joyce’s place it is like going back to time...to year 1870’s in particular. Her place kept the authenticity of the time. It is well-kept and charming. The town also had surprises which was great because my family really had a wonderful time.

Ataalaya B&B was absolutely lovely; a relaxing and beautiful home away from home. I loved the combination of Spanish colonial and Philippine native decor, plus the breathtaking view of the lake. Our room was comfortable and there were a number of living spaces where we could lounge around. Hosts, Patty and Mike, were friendly and way too kind. Ate Neng was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The breakfast she prepared was simply unforgettable! I would not mind coming back another time and would certainly recommend this to family and friends.

Spent a wonderful weekend breather at Ataalaya Farmhouse after a hectic work week. My stress level immediately went down upon entering the gates. All you will see is greenery and nature at its finest. Lots of areas for photo ops perfect for photography junkies like us. The house itself excudes a charming vibe, it feels like you entered a different time. My daughter and I had a good night sleep and woke up feeling refreshed hearing only the sound of birds and rustling of leaves. We really enjoyed the hearty breakfast prepared by Ate Neng at the balcony facing the sunrise. Ate Neng was super wonderful when I had a diemma with my car keys, she immediately searched for a mechanic to help me. Wifi signal is actually good, was able to connect nonstop. My only regret is not staying longer. I will definitely go back with families and friends next time. Thank you Ms Patricia for letting us stay in your beautiful paradise

Room in beautiful home. Very good hosting. Great location: right next to the Basilica of St Martin de Tours that I recommend visiting. Not far from supermarket, restaurant and large covered market.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem that perfectly blends historic charm with homey comfort. The place has that timeless Spanish-era setup that instantly transports you to another era. Every corner feels thoughtfully preserved, yet inviting and comfortable. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy. The staff were welcoming and genuinely warm, adding to that “home away from home” feeling. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast. It wasn’t just your standard toast-and-coffee deal. We’re talking hearty, freshly made dishes with local flavors and rich coffee that made mornings something to look forward to. If you're looking for a place with soul, history, and a comforting embrace, this is definitely it. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
