This 61 m² garden apartment offers space to arrive and breathe. It sits quietly and close to nature in Wandlitz, about a 5-minute walk from Lake Wandlitz, with a separate entrance and its own terrace. Swimming spot just around the corner: only 300 m away is a free bathing spot on Lake Wandlitz — steps lead into the lake right in the woods, and dogs are allowed in the water too. The apartment is intentionally designed for a maximum of two adults – not a family setup, but a place for retreat, focused work, or relaxed days out in nature. We place particular value on sustainability: the apartment runs on climate-friendly heating, modern boiler/heat-pump technology, and a solar system – for a good feeling throughout your stay.

Just recently - and lovingly - renovated, this little gem now accommodates up to 4 guests in the middle of the outstanding natural beauty of the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. With direct access to the lake Plätlinsee it offers both relaxation as well as more active holiday pursuit options (swimming, paddling, hiking etc). In the evening you can sit comfortably by the fire or read a book on the comfortable couch with a glass of wine. From Groß Markow you can explore the surroundings by bike or by car. The place lies between Lake Kummerow and Lake Teterow. The Baltic Sea can be reached in just an hour.

The surrounding gardens are a work in progress. The property is quite large and you can always find a quiet and peaceful spot in the sun. The night sky is wonderful for star gazing. Up to 10 stork families nest in the village from April to August each year.

Unfortunately, our farm is not suitable for excessive parties. Our house was built around 1850. The residential house and barn of the listed 3-sided farmstead are built with oak timber framing. There are 10 wedding linden trees around the house. In November, when the linden trees are pruned back, the house can be seen in all its glory. From May, it then slowly disappears behind shady foliage and stays wonderfully cool throughout the summer...

The Friesenwohnung is one of three quiet, stylish and comfortably furnished apartments in the listed estate ensemble Below. It is located mainly on the park side and is characterized by a light-flooded, large living-dining room with open half-timbered walls. In the side area there is a French double bed. Next to the kitchen and bathroom is a spacious bedroom with two beds, which is located on the rondel side and invites you to dream and enjoy.

The village of Knehden is surrounded by the Netzowsee-Metzelthiner Feldmark nature reserve, just 5 km from Templin. The village is located in a hilly landscape. Cranes live here, but also sea eagles and ospreys. You can find otters and beavers as well as kingfishers. In autumn, the crane migration is a particularly impressive experience. 3 lakes are within walking or cycling distance.
