Vacation rentals with a kayak in Preston County

Jacqueline was super responsive. She was an amazing host answering all our questions and was willing to work with us on check out due to the weather!!! We would definitely stay there again!

Our stay at Chef’s place was sublime. The space is beautiful and comfortable. Everything is as advertised and more. However, what really took our experience above and beyond was the hosting by Chef (and Pacha). Chef is a hospitality professional who cares deeply about providing a special experience. His appreciation for the area comes with no shortage of local recommendations. With his help, we had put together a packed itinerary. Despite our stay being punctuated with activities, we were always looking forward to returning to the farm. Right from the time we would exit the car (and sometimes even before then), his dog Pacha would hurry forwards to give us a warm greeting. We were also traveling with our own dogs, and Pacha was a wonderful companion, keeping them company and even showing them around the farm. We’ve never felt so comfortable and refreshed as we did at Chef’s place. We can’t wait to return for more of Chef’s excellent breakfast and conversation. 5 stars, no question.

Could use handicap accessible where we was but we will be coming back soon it was nice

Beautiful home, resort grounds were quiet, clean and well maintained. Manager was responsive even in the evening. Very comfortable; good instructions, easy to follow. We had a great time.

We found a "six" star gem walking in the door at Woodhaven. The photos, though true to life, could not adequately convey the warmth and coziness of the living quarters, cleanliness of the rooms, well appointed furnishings in the kitchen, high end bedroom linens and abundance of puzzles/games to keep one entertained and engaged. Wendy's attention to detail, hospitality AND ability to orchestrate a "blizzard" was beyond our expectations and imagination. When we connected in October as owner/renter soon changed to feeling like friend/family in February. We thank you for being instrumental in adding to our treasure trove of memories.

This was an excellent, beautiful place to stay. We all enjoyed our stay very much. I will definitely book another reservation here in the future.
