Family-friendly vacation rentals in Port Phillip City

We stayed in Maggie’s apartment for 4 nights over the Grand Prix (myself & two young kids). Can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was super clean & very tastefully furnished with really comfy beds/ bedding etc. Has all the ammenities you could possibly need for an extended stay with a well appointed kitchen and laundry facilities inside the apartment which is really handy when travelling with kids. Aircon was ice cold and the buildings pool/spa facilities were also really good. Parking was secure and the building is very easy to navigate. Located in an amazing area with many great food/bar locations a short walk away as well as anything else you could possibly need. Finally Maggie was a most gracious and helpful host, went out of her way to make our stay really enjoyable and easy including being accomodating with check in and out which we were very grateful for. Can honestly say this has been one of the top Airbnb experiences to date! Big thanks from all of us 😊

I would highly recommend it, the apartment is exceptionally well located with great views toward the city and the bay. Everything we needed was within a 5 min stroll, restaurants, tram stations, supermarket, bakery, bar etc. We will definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay in Melbourne. The house was perfect for a family, in a great location and a lovely outdoor area. It was close to the tram, shops, botanical gardens ( st,kilda’s). We would definitely come back. Thanks Tara for a brilliant stay.

We had a fantastic stay in this spacious and airy 60's-style apartment, which was perfect for our group of six ladies travelling for a sports event. The apartment had everything we needed—plenty of bedding, towels, pillows, and even extra mattresses. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. Sarah, our host, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating from start to finish, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location was ideal and made getting around super easy. We had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay—highly recommended!

We had such a great stay at Tikali’s place. The apartment was spotless, stylish, and the building had great amenities (loved the pool!). The location couldn’t have been better; right near parks, which was perfect for our dog Buffy, and within easy walking distance to the city. It was the ideal base for our Melbourne trip, and Tikali was a responsive and thoughtful host. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again.

Belinda was a wonderful host and accommodated our last minute change in arrival times without a problem. She gave us great directions to and suggestions for places to visit. The house is lovely and our family of 5 was very comfortable in the 2 bedrooms and a bed in the lounge area for one of our girls. We also had access to a second toilet downstairs in Belinda's office space. Having the tram stop right outside the door was great and it made getting around super easy. The house is also within walking distance of the amazing South Melbourne Markets and some of Melbourne's best food and coffee shops. I highly recommend Belinda's place!

The place is comfortable, spacious, and convenient. Located strategically in Southbank in the area behind NGV and Arts Precinct. The first day we didn't know there was a tram stop nearby so we walked to and back from the City. It was more than convenient after we knew there was a tram stop. There was a small grass area in the middle where my sons and cousin loved playing a little footy. The surroundings are peaceful & quiet. Very lovely. It was also close to South Melbourne Market, and a short drive to Brighton and St Kilda beach. The host Toby was also really helpful and clear in the instructions, making our stay an easy one. He also has a driver, Jay, who helped us check in & out and took us to the airport for our return flight. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay at Toby's place, making our stay in Melbourne even more memorable. Hope we can stay here again when we return to Melbourne one day. We absolutely loved our stay at Donna’s place. It was beautifully decorated and clean and located in a beautiful part of Melbourne. Everything was just perfect.

A comfortable place to stay , 2 blocks from St Kilda Beach , Pier & Walking / Cycling tracks .Good morning coffee cafe near by . Simple place but has a cozy feel .

Great place to stay. Secure - a little haven in the middle of pubs and restaurants and Albert Park. Tram to the city is really convenient and going the other way gets you to the beach. What more could you want?

I have stayed at Thackeray many times. it's the perfect location on the beach.. great bike rides... easy to park... close to everything and Alyce is continually upgrading equipment in her home so everything works! highly recommended. a unique place with beautiful character.

Had a wonderful time at Aida's place. Numerous trams stopping right in front of the building. Nice indoor swimming pool for the morning workout too.

Our accommodation contributed hugely to our enjoyment of our time in Melbourne. The overall experience across the facilities and the service were of an extremely high order. Expectations were well matched if not exceeded. The location was both beautiful and extremely convenient. Would highly recommend Barbara and her beautiful apartment.

we stayed for 3 nights and very enjoyed it. we found the place very clean and tidy with breathtaking view of the lake and sunset. there few cafe and restaurants just in walking distance and the public transport was right at the front of the building. we enjoyed the pool and the gym. the apartment was very well equipped. Juliet was responsive and friendly. We will come back in our next trip to Melbourne. Thank you Juliet and the team.

Probably the most beautiful Airbnb I have ever stayed at. So much thought and design has went into this home, didn’t realise places like this existed in Melbourne! We would definitely recommend!

Mark was an amazing host, super helpful and quick to respond, and the apartment was perfect and exactly what I needed! Felt safe, and well taken care of, also loved that there was a gym and pool to use.

Thankyou Catherine for meeting us. We enjoyed our stay and the view was lovely. In warmer weather the pool would have been divine. We could easily walk to tram stops so this was the perfect place for us.

It was such a joy to stay at Banu’s beautiful place. We had a perfect landing from our long flight with a little one and Banu was supportive and communicative from the beginning, helping us to find places in the local area that we needed to recover from such a long journey. Her and her lovely daughter Ruby could not have been more kind, and we absolutely loved meeting them and staying in their amazing home. The garden and pool were such a luxury to be able to use on hot days and they were so generous, even lending some books for our two year old to read:) Banus recommendation of the Elwood Bathers for a birthday treat was perfect, everything was considered and we felt so at home. The space itself was cosy and light, with everything we needed for a magic stay. The day bed was perfect for us to use as a family of three, and the bedroom and bed, so comfy too. It was great to use the air con when we needed, too. Most of all it was lovely to meet Banu, Andrew and Ruby 🥰 thank you so much
