Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Playa Zipolite

This is a very well done and unique home. We were there for two weeks and it was a delight. The cabanas are well designed and fit perfectly with the lush surrounding tropical vegetation. This is a special property clearly loved by the owners. The family designed and built the units and it stands out from other 'cookie cutter' units in the area that were clearly just built to turn a peso. Pauline and her son are always available and often on site tending to things. The woman who cleaned each week for us was very thorough and clearly cared about her work. As did the young fellow who tended to the beautiful plantings and all things outdoors while we were there. There are many fine restaurants just down the hill on the main street through town. And the vast beaches are just beyond. Five minutes to the street and then two more to be on the beach itself. There are little markets with fresh fruit and vegetables and several small groceries. Bring pesos. (And shampoo.) And enjoy!

The setting is absolutely spectacular in person - even better than the images. The house is charming and the walk down the hill to the semi private beach is long but perfectly manageable. The team at the hotel Bahia de la Luna could not have been lovelier. there is also a wonderful outdoor shower that i used every day However, the listing should stress how tricky (steep and rough) the roads are to navigate. i rented a normal sedan car and although it is DOABLE in a regular car, I wished every day that i had a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We also felt that the kitchen could be a little better equipped and the stove/oven were rather temperamental. Given that the position of the house made it hard to go out for dinner at night, it's important to be able to cook. the local market (fish in Puerto Angel or the big municipal market in Pochutla) are wonderful. Last - it would have been good to have some seating on the two bedroom balconies and some extra seating for the dining table

Tuvimos una estancia maravillosa en esta hermosa casa grande en la montaña. La ubicación es ideal: siempre corre una brisa fresca que mantiene la casa agradable y ventilada. La vista, especialmente desde el último piso, es espectacular. La cocina está completamente equipada y permite cocinar cómodamente. En toda la casa se encuentran pequeños detalles que hacen la estancia aún más placentera: desde sartenes y especias hasta filtros de café y cafetera. Todo lo necesario está presente, lo cual es un gran punto a favor. La casa está perfectamente ubicada entre Playa Muerto y Playa Boquilla, ambas accesibles a pie. Playa Muerto está a unos diez minutos caminando y Playa Boquilla a unos quince. Ambas tienen su encanto: Playa Muerto es más tranquila y Playa Boquilla un poco más amplia, incluso con una pequeña zona de playa privada. Beautiful house. The location is great. Close enough from the beach to walk (around 15 min) but far enough from the main street so it's quiet. Everything you need is close by (farmacy, grocery store, ATM). Someone came to clean the house mostly every day. To be able to recycle and compost was a bonus too. We were traveling as a family with two kids (3,5 yo and 10mo). It was very safe and secure.

C'est un endroit calme, éloigné du centre de Mazunte, idéal pour observer la nature et la faune locale. Le centre-ville est facilement accessible à pied en environ 25 minutes. L'hôte est très réactif et nous a fourni toutes les informations nécessaires pour notre arrivée, en plus de répondre à toutes nos demandes pendant notre séjour. Bien que nous apprécions l'aventure, l'accès au logement peut être difficile pour une voiture basse. Toutefois, l'hôte propose de laisser votre véhicule à l'entrée du chemin, à 800 mètres du logement, dans un endroit sécurisé, et se propose même de vous aider à transporter vos bagages si nécessaire.

From the moment we first communicated with Maud and her team to the moment we left - what a wonderful experience! The house - the layout and the design was perfect. Each room and space had its own personality. Each has its own charm. The main room has breathtaking views of the coastline! The observation area was fantastic for whale watching and the sunrise. The service - Maud and Rihad went above and beyond to make sure every detail was accounted for. It truly made us feel right at home. They were very easy to reach whenever we needed anything. Marina prepared the most wonderful breakfasts each morning. The Food - we opted to have meals prepared at the house each day and it was so worth it. Every meal was wonderful! Everything about our stay was wonderful. Maud and her team take great pride in providing the best experience. I could go on and on, but will leave it like this: You will not regret staying here. You may find that once you arrive you may not ever want to leave!

We loved staying at this property. Things we loved: -Home was spacious and well-equipped. -Strong wifi -There was a coffee maker (not Nespresso as was listed). -Proximity to the beach and restaurants, but far enough away not to hear any traffic or music from bars. -Plenty of bottled water. Things to note: -There are a LOT of stairs. It's a hike up hill, but the views and quietness of this property makes it very worthwhile. -Playa Del Amor is a short 10 minute walk away. The main shopping area is about a 30 minute walk. We had a great stay and would certainly consider staying here again. Thank you Gerardo and Miguel.

This place is pure magic. From the moment we booked, Orion and his family made us feel so welcome - sending a thoughtful list of local recommendations that truly shaped our experience (don’t skip them!). The home itself is a masterpiece. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s a work of art, filled with beauty, intention, and warmth. We woke up every morning to breathtaking sunrises and the songs of visiting birds. Some days we’d find little surprises waiting outside - like a fresh watermelon or a child handing us a flower. These small gestures meant so much. We also quickly fell in love with the dogs, and it was hard to say goodbye to them. The best dogs ever. Orion also provided us a fantastic mezcal tasting, sharing his deep knowledge, and he also taught us how to make an incredible salsa from scratch. We look forward to make it on our own every week as soon as we are home again (it truly was a next level salsa). It’s hard to describe just how special this place is - go visit!

Muy buen lugar excelente ubicación. El único detalle es el estacionamiento que hay que estar moviendo los autos. Y el agua caliente. Que en realidad no es necesaria porque hace mucho calor a menos que lleves bebés como en mi caso pero se solucionó con otra alternativa. La vista del mar impresionante.

We were a group of 6 friends who stayed here for a few nights, and our only regret is that we didn’t book for longer. The place is truly incredible: comfortable, spacious, stylish, and unique, all while being quiet and just a short walk from the beach. Amalia is the kindest and most amazing. She made us feel completely at home with her warmth and hospitality, and her support was truly special. On top of that, she’s an incredible cook, preparing any meal we wanted with the freshest ingredients, including a mix of traditional Mexican food, fish and even a barbecue night. Jerome was a fantastic host. Super hands-on and always ready with excellent recommendations for beaches and activities, making sure we got the best experience possible. A huge thank you to Jerome and Amalia.

Es un lugar muy tranquilo y privado con una vista increíble! Es mejor que en las fotos. Tuvimos que movernos en taxi para llegar al pueblo, pero el bugalow está muy bien equipado, la cama es cómoda, el baño es amplio, cuenta con dos mesitas en el balcón y sillas para descansar viendo el mar. Bajamos a la playa, caminamos de 10-15 minutos. La piscina estaba en mantenimiento, sin embargo nos lo comentaron con anticipación.

Excelente lugar para descansar, aceptan mascotas y lo disfrutamos mucho junto con la vista! Muy linda opción.

Casa Ebano is a treasure. The home is absolutely gorgeous, and the views overlooking the beach from the terrace are breathtaking! It is only a 1/2 mile walk to the beach, but is a very steep and bumpy dirt road. The beach and swimming definitely worth it! We highly recommend having the caretaker, Paco and his wife, Yolanda, cook for you! They prepared us a fabulous fish dinner! We like our stay and you will, too! .

Staying at Ariadna’s was a wonderful experience—the cabin is nice and private, also spacious and comfortable. Very pleasant all around, I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Even more beautiful than in the photos! It’s a quiet place perfect to spent a few days in the nature to recharge. You can really see the love Sophie and Esperanza put in it.

If you are looking for a place away from it all, to observe the power and sound of the ocean, watch whales in the day and the stars at night while relaxing on a hammock/deck, then this property will absolutely serve your purpose. As noted in other reviews, the architecture is stunning and integrated into a hillside, but it's not for those with mobility issues or necessarily young children. My wife, son and I enjoyed the location very much. Prepare and plan for your arrival with food/supplies if you intend to stay in place, otherwise expect some logistics to seek out alternatives. We recommend renting a capable vehicle (SUV), arriving during daylight hours when you first come as the road is rough and a bit off the beaten path, but as is often the case, this is how and where you find unexpected treasures and memorable experiences. Danizhu was an excellent host to deal with and offered good suggestions for accessing local amenities. Cheers, Mike

Our stay at Carpe Diem was great! Beautiful space with responsive hosts and lots of room to live. The place was cleaned daily which was an unexpected bonus! We even had a couple extra requests during our stay (extra pillows, late check-out, bag storage) and they were extremely accommodating. The unit itself was beautiful. Multiple balconies, dining room table, AC, kitchen, everything you could want. The only thing I would note is that the location of the property means you are contending with a lot of bugs!! Outdoor/exposed bathroom and gaps under the doors means you’re sharing the space with critters. Didn’t bother us too much but wanted to note for anyone who may be squirmy! Thanks for having us, we had a great stay!

We had an amazing stay at Sebastien's place! Tucked away in a peaceful spot yet still close to everything, it was the perfect retreat. Just a short walk to Playa Mermejita, Punta Cometa, and the town of Mazunte with Playa Rinconcito, the location couldn’t have been better. We also loved having little restaurants and a convenience store nearby. The atmosphere was serene—a perfect place to unwind and disconnect. A special highlight was our visits from Pink the cat, who made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!

Our stay at Casa Puesta was a remarkable one. Set high on a hill (and yes, the climb is long and steep), the place resembles something close to magical. The views of the ocean and distant hills, the variety of birds and the songs they sing, the lizards (both large and small) that one discovers hanging out on a nearby tree, the enormous bright and starlit sky that greets you every evening following the most beautiful sunset - it's a piece of paradise that one just gratefully settles into. The physical space was beyond comfortable and provided nearly everything that one needs for a long stay. Yael, our awesome host, was always there for us when we needed him and then some. He's a great guy; very friendly and personable. His kindness and attentiveness did not go unnoticed, and we're very grateful to him for helping make our stay such a positive one. Casa Puesta is a place that my partner and I found difficult to leave - and one that we, hopefully, plan on returning to again and again.

Increíble lugar para relajarse, prácticamente parecía que la playa era solo para nosotros, super bonita, limpia, buena comida de los negocios cercanos. La casa en muy buenas condiciones, el aire funcionaba super bien y las camas suuper cómodas. Los host super atentos y amables. Amamos nuestras vacaciones y volveríamos a regresar sin dudarlo (:
