Beachfront vacation rentals in Placencia

Michelle and Ed are the best hosts! They helped us with anything we needed and made us feel at home. The space is absolutely gorgeous. There were drinks and treats waiting to welcome us after a long day of travel. We enjoyed the pool daily and the view of the ocean can’t be beat. The location is perfect. It’s close enough to walk to stores and restaurants, but just a short drive from everything else. We highly recommend this listing and can’t wait to book it again.

Beautiful house, exactly as described. Large rooms with high ceilings, well-appointed and very clean. The outside space was great too-we loved the pool. The kitchen had anything you could think of and the bathrooms were nice. The only downside- only A/C in the bedrooms not downstairs but lots of windows and doors to open downstairs and everything else was so wonderful, the lack of A/C downstairs wasn’t a big deal. We would absolutely stay again; in fact we’d plan a trip to Belize around this house-it was that good.

All I have to say is...PERFECTION!!! We've been renting airbnb's for over 10 years and this has been the best yet. Great location, well taken care of, clean, responsive friendly hosts, great amenities and the most well stocked place I've experienced. I can't say enough great things about this place.

This stay here was perfect. It was better than the pics. I thought that a place with a matching red fridge and microwave was really cool. Sergio our super friendly maintenance man was just spot on. We had a little issue with the septic system and Sergio immediately sprung into action digging up the pipe that the palm roots did their thing to and fixed the problem immediately. Everyone involved with this property was awesome. As well as their recommended services like Marvin from Leo’s car rental, just up the street, was extremely accommodating and helpful. We liked the mermaid cottage a lot. We stayed at one of the tiny houses as well. I didn't realize that there is not a beach here though and the sand that is all around in the photos is not sand you can play in, it's just a dusting on top of the ground. And much of it had biting ants. So this was a beautiful place but not ideal for little kids (our 2 year old was with us). We spent our days down at the Bohemian in town which had a beach and pool. We loved the little plunge pool at the cottage though, it was very cute and a great way to cool off. If you are looking into their different accomodations, this is definitely the best one. This place is about a 15 minute drive into the town of Placencia. If you walk two properties down to the left there is a nice resort with a restaurant. Communication is very confusing but if you just talk to Jose it will be all good.

It’s a very comfortable little place to stay. Close to everything but far enough away from the centre of town that it is still quiet at night.

In over 15 years of Air BnB rentals, this place was among my favorite! We felt as if we were staying in a true work of art. The architecture was exquisite! It was extremely comfortable and spacious with details in all the materials used. Aside from the beauty, other redeeming factors included the showers (roomy with a serious hot water and significant pressure), the views, the respectful cat who stayed outdoors, the pool (day and night) and Miriam- the incredible property manager. Cheery, informative, hard working and friendly! I worked during my stay, and the Wifi was not ideal. A 20' CAT5 cable would be ideal, if you'd need to work. We stayed four nights. My regret is that we didn't stay for double that! Sending a bow of gratitude for our time there!

What a wonderful vacation! Having La Rontonda as our home base was perfect! Not only did the house/pool/beach exceed all expectations, we were just a short, fun golf cart away from the village. We loved knowing Reuben and Mariza were available when we needed them but had their home far enough away that we still felt very private, the gate was nice also! A golf cart made every journey into town an adventure, would highly recommend Captain Jacks for the golf cart rental. The private beach was wonderful, we felt like we were on our very own on island. Thank you so much Rene for your quick responses to my many questions! We give La Rotonda 5 stars!

This was the perfect place for our family of 5. It’s a modern and clean space with ice cold A/C and a solid Internet connection. Centrally located just steps from the Placencia sidewalk means short walks to Placencia Beach Club (they have a well-groomed beach area and pool), Barefoot, Tipsy Tuna and so much more. There’s a grocery store just a few steps away. The hosts are super responsive, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others without reservation.

I can't say enough about the Villas at Cocoplum! The property is absolutely gorgeous. The condos are amazing and have everything you need. The beds were very comfortable and AC worked perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything better. Even though it's in a gated area, all of Placencia is safe. The best way to get there is by Tropic Air and then rent golf carts. Most companies will have the golf carts waiting for you at the airport. There is no need to rent a car, unless you are going to drive to Placencia. We did rent a van and went to the Maya King Waterfalls for a day. It was perfect. If we ever travel back to that area, we will definitely stay at Villas at Cocoplum!

We visited Placencia during Tropical Storm Sara (Nov 2024). As we have never been in a tropical storm (snow blizzards are what we are used to), it was a panic when traveling into one with our 2 children. All we ever want is for them to be safe. Tracy was kind to let us check in a couple hours earlier for peace of mind. Thankfully - the storm hit north of us and the weather improved through out our stay. We love the location - watching and listening to the waves facing the Caribbean, and then having the lagoon on the other side. My kids swam every day in the pool, even when it was pouring rain. Rosa, the caretaker, was extremely friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay here again next time we visit. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. We didn’t use the bikes.

This condo was great! Management was very helpful with assisting us with planning activities and meals. Be aware that the location is a bit away from Placencia village and will require a golf cart or car. We were a bit nervous driving the golf cart after dark, so used a taxi service for dinners. Taxis are a bit expensive. Be aware that there are sandflies on the beach, particularly around sunset, they were a minor annoyance, but be sure to have bug repellant on, when walking the beach, this is an issue all across Belize. This was our homebase for activities in the area, which included a visit to Cockscomb, Ranguana Caye and fishing. (They picked us up and delivered us with a pile of fish at the Cocoplum dock). We enjoyed meals, lounging and drinks on the beach right next door at the Naia resort. I am a photographer and enjoyed the cool mornings on the patio taking photos of beautiful birds right from the patio. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back.

Our stay was amazing. The location was convenient to restaurants and activities. Floor to ceiling windows surround you in the primary suite overlooking the crystal clear water. Open the patio doors for a wonderful breeze! The kitchen has beautiful high end appliances and the furnishings are modern and stylish. The grounds are beautifully maintained with lots of flowering plants. We highly recommend you try the Triggerfish.

A wonderful uncrowded resort with all of the amenities you need. Great condo, fully equipped with everything you’ll need. Herbert and the other staff are so friendly and helpful, they were wonderful! The pool is amazing, we played in the water and jumped off the pier. We ate next door twice and enjoyed how quick it was to get to Placencia

We stayed here at the recommendation of a friend. A beautiful location with an infinity pool overlooking the serene lagoon. The architecture is so unique and fun while still being elevated. The space and amenities so unique and the price point is extremely attractive. The in-unit spa was so appreciated after a long day of traveling. The host was attentive to our needs. We used the kayak but didn’t end up needing the bikes. There is a new sidewalk alone this part of the road that you can easily take to the airport or to nearby convenience store and restaurants. I will be telling all my friends about this place!

We had a delightful 2 week stay in unit 3. The Mariposa Beach Club allows guests to use their facilities for free, which is a nice bonus. The house is located quite a distance from the Placencia village so you definitely need a golf cart or car for your stay. We rented a cart for our two weeks, but wished we had reserved a car for part of the stay to see more of the off-peninsula attractions.

Island Breeze suited our group of 8 perfectly. All the staff (thank you Jose, Julia, Sergio, Leslie & Heidy) were professional and extremely helpful/responsive throughout our stay. The generous sq footage of the house and all the different nooks allowed everyone lots of space and private time as needed. Everyone looked forward to the sunset views from the full-sized roof patio every evening. A "favourite" for my Belize file!

We cannot say enough about our stay at Island Time on Placencia Caye. The staff were fantastic. Our Captain Jose, fabulous meals from our Chef Brytni, and the impeccable Housekeeper Lucy. They became family to us. We miss our daily visitor “Boots”!

Nice, quiet little place right on the beach. Easy check in/check out, hotel was very helpful in arranging a taxi to and from the airport for us. No air conditioning, but fans and the sea breeze helped! Would stay here again.

The cabana was perfect. Ocean at your feet. Swam everyday. Beautiful breeze no need for air conditioning. Lived in my hammock. Everything is within walking distance. The caretaker Tracy was fantastic. So helpful, and kind. I would definitely stay again. The people of Belize are so warm.

Great property with many options for multiple families/groups. We had a group of 18 and rented 3 houses, all just steps away from each other. The space has a perfectly small pool, nice deck area, and is so quiet. It was clean and looked exactly like the photos. We did not get daily maid service and every house in our group ran out of necessities (toilet paper). The water from the faucet is drinkable and the toilets can take toilet paper. The showers don't get super hot, but are soothing with hot weather. TV/wifi was easy to navigate and Beth was extremely responsive. The kitchen does not come stocked with any food/spices. Pick up salt,pepper, butter, oil if you intend to cook. I highly recommend you ask for a cook for some meals. A breakfast fed 16 people and was $150 usd (and delicious). Rent a golf cart & pay to have it dropped off and picked up. Lots of fun to be had in this house!

What a beautiful oasis. Chris is a lovely guy who was really helpful and interesting. If you’re looking for peace then it’s off the beaten track enough that you will be surrounded by nature and chilled vibes. Felt lucky to stay here. Will definitely be recommending it to all people I come across in the coming months! Thanks Chris and the team 😊
