"Alla Volta" is the traditional Pisticcese house with its brick vaults, limewashed walls and the characteristic double-leaf door. Inside a popular hotel in the Sassi di Matera, this cave room is accessed from the common terrace through a large French door. It's an alcove entirely dug into the tuff. Extremely welcoming even just for the conformation, hollow and rounded it looks almost like a mother's womb. The bathroom, although small, has a bidet and a shower.
