Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Pike County

everything was very nice and everyone was friendly it was just like being home

Close to trails and the washer and dryer was a big plus. Unfortunately we broke both UTVs and decided to leave early to get home for Easter. Kitchen allowed us to cook meals and save on eating out. Good value.

Lovely home, with plenty of space for the family. My boys loved the kids room and bunk beds! Elkhorn was peaceful and beautiful. I didn’t get a chance to check out the Breaks park but maybe next time! I did see some elk on the side of the road though and that made the whole trip for me!

Very good communication, we were allowed to park there before check in time so we could go ride. The house was very clean, friendly folks

Four adults and two dogs needed a last minute place since our other rental had a plumbing issue. I messaged Karrie around 9 PM on a Tuesday and asked if she had availability for us and she responded immediately. Communication with Karrie was easy and she responded very quickly. She even waited to help us navigate onto the street, ensured we got into the house and that everything was okay before she left (this was around 10-10:30PM). She even dropped off fresh eggs from her chickens, toilet paper, firewood and smores supplies for us too. She also told us the neighbors were friendly and would invite us out on a guided tour on Saturday if we wanted to ride with him for free! He knew all the outlaw trails near the house as well. He was also extremely friendly and helpful. Overall wonderful experience with Karrie, the house, and the location!

Very nice place. Clean and relaxing. Our boys loved the dogs. We came to ride Hillbilly Trails, which did not disappoint. This rental is about 20 minutes from either trailhead. The road to the rental is very narrow. Our trailer is 84 inches wide, any wider and we wouldn’t have made it. Definitely recommend Shelby’s place and would stay again.

It was a home away from home. It's set up great for trail riders with ample parking and located between the Buffalo mtn and Devil Anse trail systems. A quick ride down the road gets you to the trails.

We traveled to Matewan with a large group to ride the HM trails. Kathy's home had plenty of sleeping space & bathrooms for our large group. The outdoor areas offered nice places for everyone to hang out & relax in the evenings. We also appreciated the covered area for our machines at night. Downtown and the Devils Anse trailhead are a short ride away (5 min max) so this makes for a great central location for riding the three trails in this area. We had four trucks & four trailers and were able to park everything without problems in the extra space provided.

We love that place. We will definitely be back there again very soon. It’s in a great location very clean. Everything you need. Is there beds were comfortable. It was just as good as being at home.

It was a pleasure being able to stay at Kelli’s listing. I work odd hours when I travel to Pikeville and Kelli was able to accommodate my needs. She was easy to communicate with and answered questions my questions efficiently.

Perfect location for trail riding, access directly across the street. We did rent both sides and it was perfect for our group. Parking can be a little tight but we did have 3 trucks with trailers and it was fine. Beds were all comfortable and the layout was great. The only issue we had was some type of electrical issue where we lost all power in the bathroom, luckily we did have some high powered flashlights so the bathroom and shower could still be used. We also had the 2nd attached unit so we still did have 1 fully functioning bathroom. We did contact the host and they asked if it was ok to be repaired after we left as we were only there 3 nights and it happened on our 2nd day so we were halfway through the stay. We agreed, I am sure if we would’ve said no something would’ve been done as the hosts were always responsive and the rental unit was cared for. We would definitely stay here again if staying on this side of the trail system.

We needed a place to stay for the night last minute and Valerie came through for us. When we asked about where to get small tools to repair a minor issue with our trail bike, her husband brought them right to us. Quality service we will never forget!
