We had a fantastic stay at Melograno! The place is located in the centre of Matera which was very convenient for my elderly parents. The accommodation has an amazing view of Matera, is beautifully decorated and it is exactly how is shown on the photos. Anna is a great host very responsive and helpful. Das Haus liegt sehr schön, etwas oberhalb des Meeres. Man kann auf der überdachten Terrasse den Blick aufs Meer genießen. Es ist ruhig, man hört das Meeresrauschen und das freundliche Rascheln von Vögeln und hübschen Salamandern. Die Natur rundherum ist schön, im gepflegten Garten kann man sich gut aufhalten, es gibt Kräuter und einen Zitronenbaum. Ganz nahe kann man auf einem kleinen Weg oberhalb des Meeres an der steilen Küste durch die wohlduftende Natur spazieren. Im Garten konnten wir eine Tischtennisplatte benutzen, sehr zur Freude unseres Sohnes. Ein Highlight unseres Aufenthaltes war der freundliche Empfang von Raffaele, auf italienisch, mit Händen und Füßen, mit echter Herzlichkeit. Bei Problemen war er sofort hilfreich zur Stelle und dennoch auf freundliche Diskretion bedacht. Für vier Personen war großzügig Platz und alles vorhanden was wir brauchten. Wir durften alles nutzen was vorrätig war, das war wirklich sehr nett! Der Aufenthalt war richtig toll!!!

L’appartamento è molto bello e arredato con gusto. La posizione è centralissima con vista della piazza principale. Buona anche la colazione inclusa.

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad in Villa Anna. Het huis is mooi ingericht (wat een prachtig uitzicht vanuit de slaapkamer en badkamer) met oog voor detail. Ook de keuken is heel goed uitgerust. Tot slot is er een groot terras, ideaal voor een BBQ of aperitief in de zon. Het huis is ook erg geschikt voor (jonge) kinderen. Ik zou het iedereen aanraden.

A perfect home away from home. Marzio is an excellent host. His place ticks every boxes. Peaceful, rustic with charm, super clean, well decorated, over the top equipped, extremely comfortable. The cherry on top of the cake is the fabulous housekeeper Maria, always present, yet very discreet, a real addition that makes you enjoy your holiday to the fullest. We have been travelling quite a bit and never been in a better B&B, especially for the quality of the service we received. It’s so true, that when you travel in southern Italy, every family welcomes you like you are part of theirs. You won’t regret staying here. Thank you Marzio, Antonietta and Maria, we’ll come back for sure.

The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated, with such thoughtful attention to detail that made us feel right at home. They even left us a generous selection of treats, which was such a sweet touch! The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Matera, making it easy to explore this stunning city. Pietro and Valeria were kind and attentive hosts, ensuring everything was perfect for our stay. Highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone visiting Matera!

Il sogno di nome e di fatto, villetta molto tranquilla, tutto perfetto sotto ogni punto di vista. Pulizia impeccabile e alloggio molto accogliente. Giuseppina che ci ha seguito ci ha preparato un'ottima torta di mele e fornito indicazioni sulla vicina e splendida Certosa di San Lorenzo a Padula e sulla vicinissima Montesano sulla Marcellana. Possibilità di parcheggiare nella proprietà . Sicuramente da pubblicizzare e ottimo punto di partenza per visitare il Vallo di Diano.
