Kanervan flower, Luhtalemmikki, and Raapion Mateli were built from the log in the early 2000s. Kanervankukka and Mateli are located about 17 km south of the center of Lieksa and in the village of Mateli Vuonislahti. It's 7-15 km across the lake to Koli. Joensuu is about 80 km away and Vuonislahti can also be reached by train.
