Lieksa's jongun River is a wilderness cabin by a peaceful pond, in the middle of the cornice. Great berry picking, mushroom picking, fishing, and hunting grounds right at the cottage door (purse-lacla). The cottage has electricity. Nearby historical and hiking destinations include Rukajärventie, Änäkäinen, jongun river, bear trail, and recreational fishing and hiking area. ask for autumn weekends with a message, they are negotiable even though they are provisionally closed for your own use. At freezing time, there's no possibility of running water.

There will be only you, the nature of the tame girl and the thoughts you carry with you. The place is a fisherman's dream. The big lake back and the edges of the drains sometimes bring big prey. At the end of being on the water, a wood-burning lakeside sauna heats both the soul and the mind. A log sleeping fence is like created for a good night's sleep. The place comfortably sleeps 6-7 people.

Cozy guesthouse and sauna in a wild wooden park. There are about 250 different species of wooded trees and shrubs in a two-acre area. Cozyly decorated, beach side three-bedroom log cabin in a cozy villa area. The windows and yard of a 78 square meter (59m2 +19m2) cottage offer stunning views of Pielinen. The swim dock is about 30 meters away, so a dip from the sauna to the lake is great! There is a fixed cast grill in the lawn yard, plus a Weber charcoal grill. During the summer season, you'll have access to a rowing boat and a paddleboard at no additional cost. In the heat, a new air source heat pump keeps the cottage cool.

In winter, the ski track can be reached from the ice in front of the cottage. In addition, the ski trails of the Timitra ski resort are within walking distance of the cottage. Good hillside opportunities in the yard of the cottage, as well as a great setting for winter activities. However, the city's services are available a few kilometers away.

We stayed 5 nights in Kristiina's cosy semi-attached apartment. Although, the apartment felt more like a cottage. The place was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The nature around is absolutely stunning with excellent hiking routes. We were surprised by the lake views from the apartment and enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evenings. The apartment is fairly close to amenities, although having your own transport seems essential.

The cottage is situated at the end of a rough track. Kristiina sends good instructions as the navigator is inaccurate. The view from the cottage is perfect... straight onto Lake Pielinen. There is a large area for use and it feels totally private. The cottage is comfortable and spacious.

We really loved our stay at Mikko's place. The location is fantastic, with a pier and a beach leading to the lake. The cottage faces south, so it gets a lot of sunlight during the day which is great. The cottage was very well equipped with two kitchens to chose from, a rowing boat, a grill, a garden swing and many more items. Very clean water from a well. The equipment and wifi worked perfectly. The wood-fired sauna is also well located next to the lake with a separate cloak room. Mikko's lovely "mökkimummo" greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the grounds. Only small concern was that we did not know before that the grounds are shared with another cottage about 40m away. However, the neighbour seemed to only be there for some of the time and kept to himself, so we still felt like we had our privacy. Groceries in Lieksa were about a 20 minutes drive by car. Overall a great and authentic way to experience Finnish nature and lifestyle!
