Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Petra District

Layla was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions or problems. The house is ideal for a group of friends with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and common spaces inside and outside. Layla's breakfast was lovely and substantial and was varied every day of our three day stay. Layla also cooked us a meal on the day we arrived which was very welcome after a long day travelling. The location is just by the rear entrance to Petra. This means you either need your own transport or use taxis to get to the main entrance (which you must do on your first day visiting Petra to get your ticket - even if you have a Jordan Pass) or to get to restaurants. Entering Petra by the rear entrance on subsequent days is very convenient, however leaving that way does require a long climb.

We had a wonderful stay, we booked both rooms between three of us and both were very comfortable. Gail made check in straightforward and we were welcomed back from Petra with a round of teas in the garden :-) Gail’s recommendation for dinner was amazing (Heritage restaurant) - the chicken pie was delicious. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast spread and Gail made us a tasty packed lunch for a small fee. We’d come back in a flash :-)

We are a family of 5 & this was our first time opting to stay with a local family instead of a hotel but we’re so glad we did! We stayed 3 nights.Mohammed & his beautiful family were so welcoming and treated us with great hospitality and warmth.We paid extra to have breakfast & dinner made by his wife & we thoroughly enjoyed it.This is the only way we would get to try home made jordanian food! We were comfortable in the home & Mohammed always respected our space and left us to enjoy the home.We also booked a cave dinner experience with him in his own cave up in the hills of Petra & we had an amazing time! We had the best night under the shining moon with a wood burning fire & a dinner made by him in a fire pit. Plenty of blankets for us to cuddle up in and Mohammed kept the tea flowing! I will recommend this sort of stay to anyone wanting to visit Petra to gain an authentic experience, meet the locals and enjoin with them in their culture. Thank you Mohammed for a wholesome stay!

Akram is a legend. His home was really nice. Perfect spot for visiting petra. Make sure you have a car.

Mahmoud was a great host. He was very responsive and the Airbnb was exactly how it was described and was a good value. He and his wife also cooked us dinner one night and it was amazing. Definitely worth the price. Would recommend if you are visiting Petra as long as you have a car since the Airbnb is 10 - 15 minutes from Petra visitor center.

Nayef was a very gracious host that welcomed us with open arms. On top of a hill overlooking Wadi Musa was a beautiful view. Nice and heated in the winter and only a 5 min drive to Petra Visitor Center. Prepared meals are offered for a reasonable price.

My husband and I stayed at Mohammad’s for our 2 night trip to Petra. The apartment is an upper level of his family’s home with its own entry. We absolutely loved our stay and felt welcomed like family. The location of the home is stunning with beautiful views of Petra and Wadi Musa. Mohammad was so helpful, recommending restaurants and also arranging for a home cooked meal after a long day of exploring. We chose to walk to Petra which is a challenging but possible adventure since it is quite hilly. Overall we would wholeheartedly stay again at Mohammad’s home and recommend it to family and friends.

Ahmad was een super host, hij zorgde voor een fantastisch verblijf voor ons. Helaas werden wij ziek door het eten in Petra, Ahmad zorgde voor medicijnen en zelfs voedsel waardoor wij weer beter werden. Wij voelden ons mede door hem enorm thuis in de woning. De woning voldoet aan alle luxe en was brandschoon. Wij zijn er met ons gezin geweest en die hebben een geweldige tijd gehad. Grote fijne bedden van hotelkwaliteit. Prima airco, kortom een aanrader en als wij weer naar Petra komen, weten wij waar wij verblijven.

The place is basic, but very affordable and spacious. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I recommend this place if you look for an affordable place to stay close to Petra

Firstly, I would start with gratitude. Hamzah, you became our friend very quickly. Thank you from all of us for your hospitality, your kindness and the amazing organization! Everyone who is considering should book this property! I could honestly say that this apartment is perfect, especially for its price but the thing which is the very best of the best is Hamzah himself. Before booking the property, I wrote him a short letter and within 2-3 minutes I have already got the confirmation to book the home. After we book it (like seconds after) Hamzah wrote me to ask if we need anything else and he offered us to help us with other arrangements for our trip. He helped us to book bedouin camp as well in Wadi Rum for amazing prices (even local people were impressed) and also he helped us with organizing our transport which was a bit complicated and again on amazing fares. (from Aqaba to Wadi Musa in the evening, then from Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum and then from Wadi Rum again to Aqaba again in the evening) We spent in Hamzah’s apartment 1 night. Everything was clean and welcoming. Even though we came almost at midnight, we were welcomed so warmly we felt like home. In the appartment there is everything you may need during your stay, including some tourist broshures etc. The home is very near to the Petra’s entrance (like 10-15 mina depending on which way you take) and actually it is in the city center- there are many shops and food spots. We bought super delicious fresh fruits, some stuff from the supermarkets and etc. The location is amazing not only because its close to everything but because it provides you with peace so you can rest after a busy trip. Hamzah was even checking up on us during our trip if we are okay or we nees anything. What could we say more- Hamzah is a host that everyone would dream of! Thank you my friend once again! The room was perfect for us for a one night stay before we haded to Petra early morning. The bed was very comfortable, we had wifi, hot water and tea. Thank you Yaseen for having us!

The hostel is located in the center of Wadi Musa and close to a bakery, nice restaurants, and supermarkets. I would definitely recommend it if you want to visit Petra. The room was cozy, the shared bathroom was not so comfortable but ok.

Amazing location! I really enjoyed staying in Magic View apartment. The host was super friendly and helpful. I think I couldn't find a better place in Wadi Musa. And the view was really beautiful. The house was located a little bit further from the center of the city, but I didn't minde since I had a car. There was air conditioning so it was warm during chilly nights.

Apartamentul e cu mult mai fain și mai spațios decit e prezentat in poze- am fost plăcut surprinși sa aflam asta pe loc! Cu mare drag as reveni aici! E foarte curat, localizat bine, bine dotat, cu o Bucătărie unde am gătit micul dejun… Au și o terasa superba. Proprietarul e super reciptiv! Wifi lucrează bine, au spațiu pentru parcare… defapt au absolut orice atu avea nevoie dacă stați o zi sau o saptamina! Recomand din suflet!

Location is great, but the place was two bedrooms inside a hotel room which is not described in the listing with the bathroom outside which is fine it just wasn’t expected.
