Family-friendly vacation rentals in Person County

We had a great stay. The home is as pictured. We were so happy to have a king sized bed to crash into each night. We were moving so we were hardly there. Up early in the morning and back late at night. So the bed being comfortable was a God send!! Wish more places offered a king bed but they are hard to find. Thankful Laurie let us extend our stay by another day. We were not done moving and needed another day. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Gorgeous quiet home on the lake. Host was quick to answer questions and provided great resources and references for home and surrounding area!

Cooper’s landing is always amazing stay! This was my third time staying and every single time has been accommodating to our needs in every way: from dinner reservations (and all of our indecisions), to dietary needs (vegetarian), to early morning breakfast needs and so much more. All staff members are easy to communicate with, polite and friendly.

Comfy beds decent pillows. Quite small but cozy. The included breakfast at the restaurant is nice.

I had a wonderful stay at Mary's guesthouse! The space was clean, cozy, and felt like a true home away from home. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of appliances, pans, tools etc. which made cooking easy. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. Mary's gardens made for a peaceful and relaxing setting. The location is in a quiet rural area, however it's conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and centrally located to Durham, Hillsborough, and Roxboro. Mary was an exceptional host — warm, friendly, and very accommodating. She made sure I had everything I needed and was always available if I had any questions. I highly recommend Mary's guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable and serene place to stay.

The tiny house was perfect for us and Brandon is a great host, very responsive when we had an issue with the wifi, he gave plenty of local recommendations that we loved. The place was clean and very peaceful and close enough to everything we wanted to do during our stay .

Beautiful quaint little house, incredibly cute and perfect for my needs. The house maintains it's original charm but a remodeled bathroom and upgraded appliances offers great balance. Everything was clean as can be, beds were comfy and neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, nestled in what seems like endless trees and green with the most relaxing green view from the patio and birdsong all day. Yet it's only 5 minutes away from Duke east campus and 10 from downtown Durham. Loved our stay, would definitely stay again next time.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the hideaway. It was peaceful, the home was exceptionally clean, and it had everything we could ever need and more! The boathouse was so perfect with optimal shade all day and outstanding fishing, we caught a 21” catfish and many massive bass. There weren’t as many bugs as one would expect being in the woods, but we did love the screened patio and the screened room down on the dock. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone!

We had a fantastic stay at Fickel Creek Farm! Noah was a thoughtful and welcoming host—he greeted us with fresh farm eggs and sausage that made for an incredible breakfast. The highlight of our visit was touring the farm and getting the chance to feed a baby cow (definitely a memorable experience!). The property itself is peaceful and full of charm—an ideal escape from the usual hustle. If you're looking for a relaxing, down-to-earth farm stay with a personal touch, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!

Great space in an excellent location, very clean and excellent communication! We stayed with a 4-year-old and it was a little tight quarters for a family, but we were very happy with everything.

This house was awesome! We were in town for a wedding with our son. Without even asking, Thea set up a pack n play and left toys out for him! The location is beyond convenient to downtown Durham. Highly recommend staying here is visiting Durham!

So much coffee I have not seen before in any of AirBnBs we stayed at :) . Little things make life so much easier , when you have salt and pepper in a pantry and not rushing to closest store just for that. The view is amazing, how lake mirrors blue sky !! We really enjoyed our weekend at Marilyn's place ❤️

We stayed here during our kids track meet. It was wonderful!!! The house was clean, felt homie, and had everything we needed. It had beautiful surroundings, quite private pool and my kids really enjoyed fishing in the pond! Ryan was very friendly. He answered all our questions ahead of time and gave great suggestions during our stay. Checking in and out was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to town!!

I can't imagine a nicer location than this one! A beautiful farm, a wonderful small apartment and as peaceful and picturesque setting as can be found!

Great location for walking into town. I think the general description of Pearl Mill Flats was even undersold! It’s awesome! The little oasis of trees and plants was so cool. Would definitely recommend and would come again! Thank you.
