Waterfront vacation rentals in Penang Island

We stayed here for a month and had a great time. The beach view was great and we had live music from the beach bars and fireworks each night (for more than 4 weeks). Maybe that had to do with Chinese New Year, but it actually went on after CNY as well. Communication was excellent, there was a helpful representative who was almost always nearby and ready to assist with some very small issues we had. The security guys were very friendly to our kids and would accept packages that were delivered for us when we were out. The only significant point of improvement I see is that a bit more attention should be paid to the cleaning.

We loved staying at this Airbnb listing! The apartment is super cute and clean, and located in a very walkable area. There were lots of stores and restaurants nearby so it was very convenient for us during our stay. The host was very friendly and communicative as well. We will remember this place again for any future trips.

Airlevate suite has a beautiful waterfront view of the harbour and across the road to a park area. There are nearby walkable hawker centres and not too far by Grab to Georgetown and other areas of Penang. The apartment was spacious, nice natural light. The host provided clear check in instructions and there were no issues.

Kamar tdr muat banyak org. kamar tdr/kmr mandi bersih. peralatan dapur lengkap. ada mesin cuci+setrika. pemandangan bagus. ada sedikit kekurangan buat orang yang susah tidur karna suara musik dari cafe dibawah kedengeran sampai kamar. overall oke banget.

Shi's place was a nice stay. The unit is good size, and is very well equipped. There are a few restaurants and cafes around, with a nice grocery store across the street. It is technically within walking distance of Gurney and Quayside, but with the weather I only did those walks in the evening when it's cooler. Otherwise I took Grab. A few downsides, as others have mentioned, the building has lots of Airbnb's and the lifts can become quite busy. Also the unit is a few stories above the pool, which can be a bit noisy in the mornings if you are a later sleeper.

The host is an amazing host and responsible host. Quick communication and great local recommendations. The space is well big enough for a group of four. Totally recommended!!!!

住了四天，各方面都满意。环境优美，出门就是海，二楼、三楼还有海景阳台。房东很nice，有什么问题沟通很及时，下次和朋友过来也会考虑这家。

Ken provided exceptional hospitality throughout our stay, beginning with a warm welcome and airport pickup. He clearly explained all house rules and ensured we had everything necessary, and he was consistently responsive to our queries. The house offered comfortable accommodations, with a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room perfect for our group. While the first-floor room was slightly smaller, the overall experience was still positive! The location was ideal, offering a quiet environment and convenient access to a nearby convenience store, and we had no trouble booking ride-sharing services for travel.

We went as a group of friends. Many says that this could be one of the BEST Airbnb they stayed! I must say the place is super clean and cosy. The Karaoke is a big bonus too! If I ever to come back to Penang again with a big group, I'll certainty book with Ken again.

Recommended place to stay which is quite centralised. Easy to move around and the house is in pristine condition. The stairs quite manageable and there are plenty kitchen utensils provided including mineral water. Love the location and really appreciative on the clear guideline given for easy check-in.

The place was amazing - we went with a toddler who enjoyed the space and pool!

Our stay at Cecilia's condo was for 2 months, so it quickly became our little home away from home. Everything met our expectations as per the description of the condo. The bed and livingroom furniture are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked with supplies and cookware. We used the stove daily for light cooking and there are two fridges which helps if you stock up on groceries. We loved the nature surrounding this condo and the regular visits by the monkeys. They instantly became the highlight of our stay, for sure. The sea view is also beautiful. There were plenty of cargo and cruise ships to watch, as well as the fishing boats that arrive early every morning. We chose not to rent a car. This location is very doable without one. We used Grab to get to and from Georgetown for shopping and touristy things. Overall, Cecilia's home is a wonderful stay for anyone looking for a natural setting, quiet, and of course monkeys! Thank you Cecilia for being such a gracious host!

Great place to stay with a bunch of friends =) Hopefully the car park can be improved soon because it smells bad and looks flooded. Other than that, it's all good. Walkable distance to restaurants and shops.

The apartment was clean and as described. The rooftop pool was an added bonus. A 10 minute taxi gets you into the centre of the old part of George Town but it is walkable. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Penang.

Our experience at Rumahku Homestay at Sunrise Gurney was truly exceptional, deserving of a full five stars. Also, not forgetting the outstanding service from Joey and team. From the moment we booked, their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any request were remarkable. Their friendly and efficient service ensured a smooth and enjoyable stay. We left with wonderful memories and highly recommend Rumahku Homestay to anyone seeking a memorable and luxurious Penang experience.
