The B&B is an apartment with its own entrance, private shower/toilet room, and is within cycling distance of the station in Veendam, from where the train leaves for the beautiful city of Groningen. There is also a lot to see in the province itself. However, after a busy day, you will always return to the tranquility and space of B&B HoutStee. You can relax under the veranda, enjoy bird sounds. Possibly in good weather, use the BBQ. Everything is available for this. You also have 2 bicycles at your disposal.

Our 1-room apartment is located 7 km north of Stadskanaal, very rural, with unobstructed views over the surrounding Groninger land. Here you can experience the seasons to the fullest and almost daily enjoy beautiful cloudy skies and flaming sunsets. There is plenty of space all around, and you have complete freedom. Our guest house has Wi-Fi and is comfortably furnished for up to 2 people with a full kitchen and private bathroom. Dogs are welcome in consultation, with the exception of uncastrated males.

Aan de achterkant zit u in het buitengebied en loopt u zo door de landerijen. Viswater, fiets- en wandelroutes. Fietsen beschikbaar. Eigen fietsen kunnen op het terrein staan. Vrij parkeren op straat. 30 Min rijden naar Groningen, Assen, Emmen. Het winkelcentrum van Stadskanaal ligt 4.6 km verderop, zie afbeelding extra foto's, de Spar 3 km. verderop.

Waterfront chalet

The brand new superior chalet, which was first rented out on June 8, 2023, is our flagship. It is very spacious, insulated and equipped with heating, kitchen, toilet, shower, a private jetty on the lake in Oude Pekela-Zuid and private terrace in our beautiful and in the evening atmospherically lit garden. Furthermore, the chalet has a table with chairs, coffee and tea making facilities, various kitchen appliances and a refrigerator. It can also be booked outside the summer season.

A rich businessman once said: "I can easily book a luxury hotel room, but I want to hear the birds sing every morning." And there are birds at the Wiekeborg, just like fish and ducks. The double rooms are on the first floor, where the private bathroom is also located, with a bath, toilet, and shower. On the first floor, there are no other guests, 100% privacy. B&B Under the Beech Tree

The B&B is located in a quiet part of the village, in the middle of the polders and near cycling routes and the Pekelder Hoofddiep. It is an ideal base for excursions and offers a complete stay of 55 m² with living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. You have a fully equipped kitchen, a private terrace, free WiFi and parking. In this spacious, soothing accommodation, you will forget all your worries.

Relax in "the Mammaloe"!

Spend the night in the beautiful Upper Pekela. In "the Mammaloe" there is no toilet and laundry facilities, for this you can go to the toilet unit that is 10 meters away.
