Having family scattered across South Africa means coming together over December has often proven difficult, however at Wheatlands we felt we were coming home. Our four families comprising of eight adults, three children, and two dogs felt welcomed and cared for throughout the stay. With amble oppertunity to be "together" while being able to have our own space. David & Kirsten were delightful hosts. Charlotte and Chloe were an absolute treat and Earnst served us so well. We would highly recommend visiting this home, which is enriched with history if you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful stay in the heart of the Karoo. We hope to one day return!

I loved the wooden floors, the large bed and very nice linen. I felt like I was in a real Victorian house. The hotel itself and the restaurant matched the Victorian theme and the food was fantastic, we had a particularly friendly waitress. I will recommend the place. I was lucky to get a unit that allowed animals. The little garden at the back of the house was perfect.

Suselle was a very kind and attentive host. I can definitely recommend her as a host.
