A Perfect Retreat in the Heart of the City We had a wonderful 2-day family vacation at Nandani’s place. The cottage feels like a dream straight out of the 1900s—cozy yet spacious, with a beautiful garden and lawn perfect for relaxing during the day or enjoying the evening breeze. Despite being right in the city center, the location is peaceful, and most attractions are within walking distance. For a great meal, we recommend Tiger Tiger for lunch—it’s conveniently located right in front of the cottage. The caretakers are incredibly honest and kind, and their three well-mannered children respect your privacy, only interacting when approached. Overall, a perfect blend of vintage charm, comfort, and hospitality. Highly recommended!

It's such a beautiful property and a perfect getaway from the city hustle. Waking up to such a breathtaking view. The food was AMAZING no complaints there, they provide both veg and non veg food. The property is beautiful, we took a morning walk in the coffee estate they also have a friendly pet dog putta who accompanied us to the morning walk. We were 3 girls and it's a safe property even if it's just a group of girls travelling. They also provide rental taxi contact details if you don't have your own vehicle. I would highly recommend this place to friends group or families too!

Near to Bakel fort and beaches. Thrikkannapuram Thriambakeswara temple. On the bank of Bakel river. Cultivated coconut, arecanut & other fruit plant. An upcoming farm is a good view. Complementary breakfast is served, lunch & dinner to be managed by the guests. Nearby restaurant contacts are made available at the villa. Hospitality is fantastic throughout the stay and reachable over phone at any time for any assistance.

Ashit thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful done up home. The experience of the house was extremely good. However, not much to do around except the sunsets and walk on the beach. The beach obviously is not safe to swim. But it was a nice quiet getaway and our pet loved it too.

A spacious bedroom features a wooden bed with a blue and white patterned quilt. Natural light fills the room through large glass doors that open to an outdoor seating area. A fan is mounted on the wall, and floral artwork adds a touch of decor.

You will feel close to nature. The place is very calm and serene. On one side lies Gurupura river on the other side is Tannirbhavi beach. This property is on the river side. The property is exactly as described. The locality is very safe. People are great here. In the morning you will get a nice sunrise view from the river side. For the sunset you can go to the beach which barely at 500m distance. To commute to the city, the cheap and best way is go by ferry. The ferry dock is at walking distance of about a kilometre. From there boats are available from morning around 7-7:30 AM till 7:30 PM at interval for every 15-20 mins. D'Souza family is very friendly and helpful. They will give you lot of local recommendations. They are great hosts. Would love to stay again in future😊. PS: You will love doing kayaking here.

I'd start by saying that I don't have words to appreciate it as it was sooo perfect that I'd still use the words to appreciate the host and the site. It was like walking into your home after coming from a hectic day and seeing that your mother has arranged everything neatly and cleaned it so good that you feel like lying on the floor. The place gave a very peaceful vibe. All my friends liked it as well, we were in awe of the place. The host has done a tremendous job to keep the place as clean as possible. Space wise it was enough to accommodate five people. Kitchen was provided with required utensils along with a mini freezer. Quilt is provided along with clean towels. Parking is also available inside the premises. Host is readily available to answer any of your query or request and is very humble and friendly. Totally recommend it to fellow travellers. I stayed here for a night as part of my week long road trip across multiple locations along the coastal line. The property is at a very accessible location with prominent eating joints nearby. The place felt like home with everything one needs. We were a family of 3 but this place can easily accommodate 5 people. The key less check-in and check out was quite seamless. The host/co host were very friendly and welcoming. The price per night was externally reasonable compared to other similar properties nearby. At this price point, I highly recommend this place for your considering if you are planning a trip to Mangalore. Cheers!

Visited this place as a short weekend getaway. First off this place is exactly what it seems like, and it’s even better in person. It’s off beat, serene and super quiet. Good visit for anyone who wants to escape the city’s hustle for a while. Karthik has been an incredible host. He is very friendly and accommodating. We had several changes in plans during our stay here, but this was never an issue. Karthik helped us get the most out of our stay here and made sure we had the best experience. He also made us try some local festival dishes during our stay and helped with travel / food recommendations nearby. The property was well maintained and had all amenities one would expect despite being in an isolated location which makes it super convenient. Definitely planning on visiting again for a longer duration. 10 / 10 experience

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Joanna’s bungalow. The locality is green and peaceful. The house is spacious, well lit with lots of thoughtful touches. Joanna, Pallavi and team were super friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to Ismail who dropped us to a restaurant when an auto cancelled on us. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay in mangalore.
