The Ancient Baglio - Dammuso 'Il Gelso'

The Antico Baglio (“U Bagghiu” in Sicilian) is the only building of its kind in Pantelleria and dates back to around 1700. It is located in the Sesi archaeological area, 400 meters as the crow flies from the coast, 9 minutes from the town of Pantelleria and 14 minutes from the airport. It is made up of four independent Dammusi which can be accessed from the beautiful internal patio. It’s said to have the best view of the sunset you can have on the island! It’s at a 10 minute walk from Scauri centre, where you can find everything you might need: bakery, supermarket, restaurants, coffee shops, the cinema, the pharmacy and a church.

The Dammuso Suvaki Mare is characterized by its strategic position 20 meters above the sea in the western part of the island.
